  1. 99% of my jumps are pulling by 3.5k, allows more time to deal with mals and start my set up for my turn.
  2. Almost every place i have been trackers of all types have gotten out first. But recently at my home DZ they made a switch. Our exit order looks like this,(all groups go big to small). 1. Tracking:Flat 2.RW 3.FF 4.Angle Flyers (freefly tracking) 4.Students 5.Tadems 6.Wingsuiters/tracking suits
  3. Its not getting away with it at all. The problem is elsinore and perris are big dz's catering to tandem business and large events. Bad publicity greatly effects their business and there were enough incidents in minimal amount of time to make it easy to say were done. On top of that add the investigations that follow and continued time consumption by lawyers. That said High performance landings aren't going away anytime soon. And I've seen equally as many incidents from a 90 in the main at both dz's. But I will attest that now I hardly see anyone trying big turns(that shouldnt be), though still they are allowed where the pond once was. Now you only see the people that are serious over there. The pond wasnt so much of a i need to do a big turn as it was a target of fixation that resulted in alot of low turns and impacts for the non coached and people trying to swoop fixated on the water. Simply moving it out along ways away from the main would have greatly helped the situation to make it no longer a target of fixation and "im cool swooping the pond location". The trip to train where you have a pond though long (for me 8hrs+ to sac) is worthwhile. For competitors no pond makes zone accuracy and distance really hard to train, additionally there is no margin for error on the lake elsinore concrete dirt. Well said and thank you for the input, helps shed a different light on the subject.
  4. Sac is a very long drive for me and my coach. I just don't seem to understand, I know having one is a liability, but how do the east coast dz's get away with it?
  5. I knew Elsinore had one and its one, does anyone know if any other DZ aside from Sacramento that has one?
  6. Pitch a tent and camp out, its half the fun, thats what i always do. The dz is pretty self contained you dont really need to leave if you dont want too. But i would highly suggest going and touring all the local factories, PD, Mirage, Vigil etc its really cool to see all that stuff. Have fun good luck and enjoy it!
  7. thanks for all the info guys, going to go ahead and order one up
  8. Hey guys my new home DZ is throwing it first boogie this February. A little background the DZ is located approx 40min outside Panama City FL, we're a small DZ (182 normally) but were going to be getting a Super Otter for the boogie. I wanted to help out my DZO and put up a thread to try to get some new faces out with us. Attached is a flyer. Hope to see you there and Blue Skies!
  9. One of the best Proxy flying videos out there imo. Stunning
  10. no its not up to date, and yes i've used the search, lots of comments about hows its a revamped Ghost, but that doesnt help be because i dont know much about that suit either. But thanks a bunch for the info, thinking that this might be my next one, sounds to be exactly what i want.
  11. Hey guys ive been looking around lately trying to find reviews on the Havok but with no avail. Im currently flying a P3 and am looking at possibly getting something just a bit bigger. my general flight preferences are acro and just screwing around flocking with friends, and some base in the future.i Just trying to get some user feedback on this suit

    Phantom 3

This is one of my favorite suits, its floaty when you want it to be fast when it requires it and amazingly easy to fly. Weather your thing is flocking acro or base it will do it, and if your the right size person some pretty good flight times can be had from it aswell. A++ suit highly reccommend you give one a try.
  13. FACILITIES: This place is top notch, everything is new or nearley new, gear store is well stocked, packing area is the best i've seen (ac, carpeted, tvs with GO PRO cables all over), two different lounging area with couches and tvs, nice back patio area. Landing area is groomed grass (c liscense and above) or high cut grass. And they have a swoop park with a nice pond. AIRPLANE: Two Sky Vans, A Twin Otter and a Super Van, you've got to be kidding me and theyre all new and super nice. STAFF: Super friendly, good packers, good DZ briefings. CROWD: Kinda different here, seem ok but there was a big team event and they kept to themselves (obviously) and everyone else seemed to be on their own program. Overall: Well laid out DZ, nice scenery, and everythings new!

  17. Hey Hey, so this wednesday im making the drive from San Diego CA to Panama City FL via the I-10 freeway. Im planning on stopping at most of the DZ along the way. I think it would be cool to meet up with some people from here long the way. So if your game and near Tuscon AZ, El Paso NM, Spaceland TX, Emerald City, or Gold Coast and wanna jump PM me and we can try to work something out. Blue Skies -Nate
  18. Just curious if theres a place where you get get info on which DZs around the country are boogieing on any given weekend?
  19. I felt the need to post this little incident me and some friends had this weekend while jumping. Situation: Sunset load, 3 way horney gorillia into 3 way sit. After we split from the gorillia one of our guys mistakenly bellied out and got way above us, he did the proper thing and stayed close to the skydive and then tracked accordingly when it was time. BUT im not sure if he didnt see me or what happened but after my canopy opened he went screaming by me at terminal about 30ft infront of me. We are super lucky nothing happened but i just felt the need to post this close call to remind everyone to keep aware in the air, maintain vigilant situational awareness. Ok thanks for reading, Blue Skies.

    Phantom X

I love my Phantom X. I've got to fly both the G3 and the PX when I was looking. I choose the PX for the easier to use visor lock, selection of visors, comfort, price, and the no tools for the visor change. I also prefer the securing strap on the PX to the G3. There are 3 different lens to choose from clear, smoke and mirrored. I run the mirrored, it looks cool and is super dark for bright sunny days.

    Solo II

Love it, i would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a digital altimeter. The only thing i don't like is the navigation through the unit, its very convoluted and hard to use.
  22. I did my first ever skydive, AFF, and got my A-license here at SSD. The staff is awsome, even after completing my A the instructors are more than willing to help you out with whatever you need (tips tricks, they even let me try some of their gear). The planes are good clean and are safe, the dz is very well maintained and very professional. The weather almost always cooperates, but it all depends on the time of year, wind is usually very consistent and generally mild. Overall i love this place the people and the flying. Blue Skies see you up there.
