  1. Is supplex like a skin tight material? I'm just tryring to get a good grasp on what the material is like, like comparing it to everyday clothing. But thank you guys for the advice! Tonysuits actually emailed me back today answering sum of my questions and he actually suggested the X-series free fly suit, it looks very nice and tempting haha
  2. So I've gone from choosing a Body Sport USA Comp suit, to then maybe a Liquidsky sports suit and then decided on a Tony space suit.. I've been measured and really want to order it! Im skinny and light, 5'8 and 102lbs. Need something tight and slick, has anybody here gotten a space suit from Tonys and hows the supplex material?? I just want to get sum feed back from Tony's, maybe sum advice on the positives and negatives. I've gone shallow and deep into the forums but cant seem to find the answer im looking for, thanks!
  3. This past Sunday (yesterday) Me and my best friend did two of our first post AFF solo jumps (jump 13-14 for me) The amount of freedom and independence feels so great after finishing AFF! We were on the same load so we got to gear check each other and watch each other jump out and do canon balls which btw were totally awesome we're trying to figure out other cool exits we can think of, safely of course, if anybody has any cool exit ideas for me that would be awesome. But our journey to A license looks amazing so far and we're beyond excited for whats to come and all the learning we gotta do! Also getting my own jump suit soon from Body Sport USA.. if anybody has any opinions on them or advice would be great but enough of my rant, just too excited to feel that air! Stay safe, blue skies
  4. I really have no problem with doing a first jump course, like you said its practice. I will do what ever I need to do to make this happen! I'm going to take that advice and call ahead and see what needs to be done in my position to prepare if anything. And as far as tunnel time, I will be coached for AFF training, I want to learn as much as possible when I'm in that tunnel to gain as much confidence and skill when I'm in the sky! But thanks for the input, I've learned one thing from skydiving and its you cant rush anything or take shortcuts for something you're passionate about!
  5. Hmm, interesting. Thank you for the input! I jump out of Skydive Sebastian so if anybody is familiar with their ways and care to share, would be much appreciated!
  6. So it's been over a year since i've last skydived and stopped at level 3 of my AFF after not getting through it and a year of life happening to me. I'll be jumping in the tunnel soon for a block of 10 minutes to train hard and be ready to take on AFF with full force! My question is, since i've gone over a year without skydiving, am I going to need to take a re-currency jump of any kind or do I just go right back into it from where I started? Thanks
  7. That's actually what the case was I totally forgot to choose a heading until half way through the jump and i did a 180' and the instructors docked with me again.. I was stable i just had a turn i didnt think fast enough to correct
  8. I just did level 3 and I failed it -______- i "wasn't able to maintain a proper heading" I'm definitely going to the tunnel before i redo level 3!
  9. Awesome thank you all for the input! I jump out of Sebastian in FL and I was supposed to go back this weekend but this hurricane seams to be ruining my plans doesn't look like the weather is going to be good.. but I'll certainly try to make an effort to visit the wind tunnel, at least that's indoors!
  10. I am currently doing my AFF, and I've done leve 1 & 2 so far but i'm having trouble with my legs and somewhat my body position. My instructor recommended sum tunnel time to gain the confidence as well as work on my body position. He said most students that jump into the tunnel for 10-15 min usually fly right through AFF after with no further problems. I'm thinking of getting sum tunnel time before doing any more jumps risking i might fail and the extra expense. seams like the money for tunnel time can be worth saving the money for failed jumps. what does everybody think? Do jumpers find the rest of AFF easier after sum time in the tunnel?

  12. Hello everybody again, this weekend me and a buddy finally got around to heading to Skydive Sebastian to get started on our AFF training. We planned on camping on sight which is free of charge but changed our minds the first night we slept in the tent..It was way to hot and neither of us got any sleep. Friday morning we had about 6 hours of ground school with Norman, funniest, coolest guy in the world and he made sure me and my buddy knew everything we needed to. We couldn't jump after ground school due to high winds, so we chose to book a hotel instead to not risk losing anymore sleep since we'll be jumping the next day. luckily for skydivers in Sebastian you get discounted rates at sum hotels so that's exactly what we did. after a good night sleep we headed back to the dropzone and checked in with manifest. we got our goggles and altimeters and we were told to choose a jump suit and find a helmet. We got our rigs and met our instructors and before we know it we were on the plane. Nerves deff started to kick in but I was pretty confident since the dive flow was stapled to my head lol I had an good exit, i probably have to arch more and look up more but once we leveled off i started the dive flow and it all went pretty smooth. The feeling of jumping out and that freedom is amazing and it gave me slight memories of my tandem 2 years ago but honestly couldn't compare. 3 practice touches were solid and I got the extend my legs out sign the most. 5500 came before i knew it, waved off and pulled. One thing i realized was pulling that pilot chute out actually took more effort than i thought, required a good strong pull but I did pull myself canopy was nice and square and the flight down was majestic, couldn't believe how awesome this was! first jump and I landed on my feet and standing up 30 min later was being briefed for AFF 2. Exit was my best so far, still need to spread my legs more..that's my only problem right now and it bugs the hell out of me this time we did 90' turns left and right and forward movement. First turn was weak, but my left turn was strong and good. Foward movement was nice and good. still need to arch and extend my legs a bit. locked on at 5500 and pulled at 5000 (a little low) on my way down i was convinced i failed that level but I didn't AFF level 3 next. I just need to work on my damn legs and do sum arching exercises. Had a blast this weekend and Skydive Sebastian is an awesome dropzone, instructors were all super helpful and I can't wait to go back and finnish up
  13. Well I guess you're right. I look at it totally different now and it is a process, and I wouldn't want to waste my time and money trying to rush anything and id rather take it more slow and enjoy the training and see what the different drop zones here in FL have to offer. thanks everybody!
  14. I'm planning on doing my AFF in a weekend for various reasons (cost, time, efficiency) what are sum of your opinions and thoughts as far as doing it in a 3-day span? maybe sum of you have also done it in a weekend. thank you
  15. I'm sorry for the confusion, I do live in the USA miami fl.
