  1. I have had one that cleared. And one that didn't. I don't think to much can be attributed to the canopy..... just luck. "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent
  2. Looking for some help/advice.... I am thinking about swapping my Spectre 150 (DOM 2000, approx 350 jumps) for a Jedei 136 (DOM unknown, approx 600 jumps). Should cash be included in the deal? If so, which way? I think my Spectre is probably worth a little more based on age - as far as I know, Jedei's haven't been made for a while (?) All comments appreciated BSCB Ivan "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent

  6. Bunch of us Brits are going to invade Lake Wales this festive season. Any of you lot going to be there? "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent
  7. I did mine over a Thursday afternoon (3 jumps) and Saturday morning (4jumps) - it rained on the Friday. I did three consols on the Saturday afternoon and I think (?) I had them all completed by the following Friday. I did 10 static lines 3 years before, and I'm sure that helped lessen the fear factor... 8. A picture a 48-way at Eloy (with me in it, of course), taken by Mike McGowen My Desktop background is my view of my reserve, as seen for the 1st time. (Of course, lots of skydiving related audio if anyone is stupid enough to bring up the subject - rare these days...) my best joke

A man went to the doctor and said, "Doctor, I've got a problem, but if you're going to treat it, first you've got to promise not to laugh". "Of course I won't laugh," the doctor said. "I'm a professional. In over twenty years I've never laughed at a patient." "Okay then," the man said, and proceeded to drop his trousers, revealing the tiniest penis the doctor has ever seen. Unable to control himself, the doctor fell laughing to the floor. Ten minutes later he was able to struggle to his feet and regain his composure. "I'm so sorry," he said. "I don't know what came over me. On my honor as a doctor and a gentleman, I promise it won't happen again. Now what seems to be the problem?" "It's swollen." Paintball

Friend of mine is seriously thinking about doing it with those laser quest type guns. Get one mounted on a helmet with a mouth trigger and have targets on the back of helmets or wherever. Pull at altitiude and dogfight all the way down. I think his idea is for highly loaded canopies (he jumps a VX79), and therefore experienced pilots only. Sounds like fun to me..... 14. The above attitude is one of probably many reasons people around the world have anti-US feelings. "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent
  15. Thanks John. I will happily fail to achieve anything today. "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent
  16. Did he not say 35 jumps on his Spectre.........? "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." David Brent
  17. I load my Spectre about 1.45-1. Although I am still pretty conservative (no more than 180's), I swoop it most landings and get some nice surfs - especially on nil wind days...
  18. Had similar incident at the UK Nationals. 4way exit, inside centre half out the v tight SMG door, and his pin gets popped. Tail noticed and backed off as the formation launched; the camera man came straight down to the guy and gave him the AFF "pull" signal. Luckily he had done AFF and dumped out and had a nice safe 10000ft canopy ride. I was impressed with camera man, and the guy himself for getting what had happened so quickly... and yep, they got the re-jump ;-) "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation."
