  1. I'd say it's a good start. _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  2. Very true... where there's a will, there's a way. It IS a very expensive sport, but only to break into. Once you get set up with gear, learn to pack for money or credit and eventually get a coach or instructor rating, then it's only mildly expensive Stick with it, enjoy the forums and practice, practice, practice... Blue skies. _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  3. Seems like big cojones is one of the reasons people downsize fast too... I mean we could probably make a sticky full of reasons why people have downsized for better or worse. I think it's a terrible idea to limit the turn someone can make. Require coaching or canopy courses, or a certain number of high speed landings to do certain landings but don't just don't try to make a blanket rule for a hundred different experience levels.... Right? Or am I just way off? _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  4. Welcome bro. I'm in the Army and on my 5th deployment right now, so I can't skydive but I can think about it when I'm off. If you have any specific question feel free to post 'em up or private message me. I'm sure I can point you in the right direction if not answer things reasonably well. blue skies _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  5. Looks like you're doing pretty good and there's a lot of good news there. You might find that the chipping goes away with more time in the sky and you might find arching a little harder helps. My favorite good news bit from what I read is you're doing tunnel and sky stuff at the same time, early in your progression so you're (in my opinion) less likely to learn bad habits in one or the other. Good luck in the next few categories and jumps and even if you have nothing but good landings remember to be prepared to PLF if it turns out you find yourself in a situation where you need to. That's my 2 cents worth. _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!

  7. We started keeping a spare analog alti in the plane at my DZ plus a spare pair of goggles just in case there's reason for someone to need them. Obviously an alti can still go out during a jump and the jumper has to make educated guesses about altitudes so it's not a perfect system but it certainly can't hurt. Some people just aren't gonna wear an extra altimeter because they have a dyter and whatever, whatever... _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  8. Welcome and feel free to engage the forum as much as you'd like!! There's a lot to learn here and there's a lot to filter out. It just takes time to tell the difference I'd say. _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  9. Ditto. 7 is the most I've done in a day and I could've done more but I'd already had plenty of fun for the day and... well that and I'm not made of money. _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
  10. Bon!! mdr Be careful though... you keep going at that rate and you're bound to be hooked for life. I think that's a good thing though. Welcome to the forum. _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!

  12. I say go for it. It really wasn't hard at all. Like one question had me slightly stumped for a minute but then I sorted it out. Do a good job!! _________________________________ ...Don't Get Elimated!!
