    Main Canopy

Its a 9-cell Safire2 Main...it has 5 blue cells then goes white yellow white yellow...i lost it at chicks rock this year on a cutaway...if you see it from the sky or seen someone with it pleae email me
  2. I have been seeing that firebirds canopies are quite a bit cheaper than other makes but seem pretty solid on the reviews. What does everyone who has tried one or has one think?
  3. I also have talked to riggers and my instructors not just packers
  4. I have been jumping all sorts of 170 canopies for about 25-35 jumps I'm not trying to downsize cuz of the "cool factor" with it I have just been flying my 190 for a while and am def comfortable enough on the smaller 170 mostly because I'm not that heavy, i only weigh 150-155, 175-180 with gear...I continuously have end cell closures and sometimes center cell closures and have asked everyone of the packers at a few of my local DZs and everyone tells me it's a wingloading issue not a packing issue because the canopy is only using what it needs to too catch me and so the closed cells don't need to open yet so I have to correct this...I would prefer a pulse 170 but haven't had luck finding one in good shape or cheap...I saw an add on here for a trade so I wanted to ask what others would do hope this extra info helps with more answers Blue Skies:-)
  5. would you trade a 190storm for a 170 diablo? seems like its a good canopy but just want to ask around
  6. Hey there i was at Bonanza had a blast all weekend long...anyways im out at elsinore and perris every week i live in the OC though but im still down to carpool if that works somehow for you just hit me up

  12. I dont know whos responsibility it is...i dont wanna be the a**hole customer calling everyday asking where it is if it is ssk/airtecs mess but if its the riggers then wtf,,,i just dont really know how to handle this situation so i wanted other skydivers advice this is my first rig i paid in full and i havent gotten it yet and its been 8 weeks now when it was suppose to be 2-3...so who should i be mad at or who should i call to get my rig or money back? and again to everyone on the thread thanks for the advise up to this point
  13. Yo yo im a perris local and guess what i just got my first wingsuit...dont have enough jumps to jump it yet but i couldnt pass it up for the price...but hit me up when u head out to perris ill def grab a beer and balloon jump...reverse that order!!!
  14. ok called ssk they dont have anything from the rigger i sent it to and havent since feb...and i sent it in may...should i be mad now goin on 7 weeks
  15. Thank you all for your informative replys...i def would have sent it in in off season but i just bought the rig and it came that way...also i dont even have 100 jumps yet this is my first rig so i def need my aad if not for the fact that DZs require jumpers at my skill level to have one but for just comfort reasons for myself but again thank you all for the replys ill just have to keep waiting:-/
  16. I just bought a used rig and the cypres had to be sent in for its 8 year...i was told 2 weeks its goin on 6 has anyone else delt with this or should i be getting mad by now?
  17. Im at 54 jumps now and the nervousness hasnt gone away, however sometimes im able to stay calm the whole way upbut just the other day i was doin solos working on back flying when another solo asked to do a 2way i said yea but instantly gone really nervous cuz we didnt have a plan. But he just said just jump out however i want and he'll come to me we ended up making 2 points it was pretty cool, so anyways yea just keep jumping and know that it will take however many jumps it take for you untill it goes away untill then its totally normal and nuthing to get u down
  18. I couldnt tell you how nervous i was the first time i jumped with someone that wasnt one of my instructors. It felt like my first jump all over again but i made a new friend and he totally felt like a coach the whole time just reminding me to relax...i agree with everyone who said just ask and be upfront about your abilities thats what i have done and it has worked out great so far...i only have 51 jumps but i have been able to turn a point or 2 on a few jumps now just because of how helpful people have been when im out there. I havent even really asked people to jump with them they hear my low jump number and ask me cuz they want to get me more expierence (well and load organizers get free jumps with a 4way or more a lot of the time) but yea its all about having fun and learning, dont worry about getting good fast i havent and i have been having a blast anyone who tells u otherwise is as everyone has said above...A DICK!! If your ever out at perris or elsinore send me a PM on here ill be glad to jump with ya BLUE SKIES!!
  19. I just got my A license at perris, just went to my first boogie at elsinore, and just bough my first rig down at san diego, all this year! I even got offered a free jump (which they ended up filling the plane so i couldnt take advantage of but still offered) with my rig down in SD. I think all DZ's r great and full of friendly people. Also depends on what your looking for Perris is the biggest elsinore and SD r about the same all run plenty of load throughout the day. Hit me up with a PM on here when you get out here im always down to jump with someone new
  20. I just got done getting my A license through jim wallace they are awesome love those guys. Elsinore is awesome to i just started tunnel coaching with one of their head load organizers and he great to!!
  21. I went through my entire AFF all the way through to getting my A with Jims school and all i can say is they have become an amazing new group of friends. Such a comfortable atmosphere i brought a friend to start his AFF and he loves it with them....Jim tells you everything you can think of before you ask and his extensive knowledge of the sport instills such a comforting feeling in everything your learning 5 stars all the way!!!!
  22. every time i jump with someone new...i just got my A as well and been doin some 2, 3, and 4 ways and everytime i have those same feelings its great when everything comes together and i am always wondering what i did wrong if it goes different from the plan...but i just booked a lot of tunnel time 2 hrs worth and i have been told by my coaches and instructors through AFF that it is never a bad thing to get in the tunnel especially when wanting to learn with others cuz the glass actually can teach u proximity im told idk just gon off what i have been told and have been asking... but yea man keep at it hope we can jump sometime if your out at perris BLUE SKIES!!!
  23. I just finished up gettin my A out at perris a few weeks ago now and cant say enough good things about jim wallace's school there and the tunnel coaches at the indoor(separate but at same DZ)...i cant speak for eloy yet havent been there but plan on goin there for some canopy coaching myself, but either way im sure both places r great i read great things about both places all the time... i stayed at perris till i had 30+ jumps... just did my first 2 jumps out at elsinore today and had a great time hope i helped BLUE SKIES!!
  24. i started for my A in january of this year and got it on 4/20 of this year, of all the days i pack for myself to and have jumped 20 of my pack jobs already(really gotta keep working on it though have had some hung sliders and minor line twists but still) but it all depends how much u can afford and how much time ur willing to dedicate... all that factors in cuz it unfortunately isnt cheap so for most it tends to be a slower process from what i have heard from askin around the DZ which sucks cuz its def something that most wanna keep doin over and over and over and over and over and over and over again...anyways welcome to the sport hope u find it as amazing as i have BLUE SKIES!!!
