Full Stalls for USPA B license - how stalled?
excaza replied to pchapman's topic in Safety and Training
When I was going through the card with one of my instructors, she had me work up to the full stall. I spent a few jumps bringing myself right to the edge of the stall and recovering, because it's an important point to know itself. After that, I spent a couple jumps putting it into the bucking full stall and learning how to recover from it. Personally, I think they're both necessary things to experience and learn how to recognize, but I'm still a youngin' -

Can't troll people that way -
Did they say they would fix it, or just take a look at it?

I'll usually drive up to SNE, but between those two I'll pick Jumptown. Because it's a half hour closer than Pepperell

A first look at a no pull cypres save

One should always check their airspace before performing any maneuvers, period. It's drilled in freefall and it should be no different under canopy. It doesn't take that long. I'm a long way away from being an instructor, but teaching someone not to prioritize being aware of their surroundings because they're pulling high at the back of the exit order wouldn't sit well with me. -

Pulse: Does it really pack smaller? What is the final verdict?
excaza replied to -Joey-'s topic in Gear and Rigging
Who cares what color it is? Your dick isn't going to shrink if you wear a purple rig dude. I'd fly a hot pink container if I got a good deal on it. -

A meter is like...a yard, who knows what a kilogram is, my soda comes in liters, and why does the bank say it's 23 degrees out?

I can't claim credit for the idea, but you could rig it up to a laser tag system and have dogfighting wingsuits. Get shot, parachute deploys! (please don't actually do this) I believe you can get a discount on a new unit if you send the expired one in. Sure, just figure out what pulse gets sent to the cutter and wire it up. Or find a pressure chamber.

To be fair, a block of concrete also distributes impact energy throughout the matrix.

Look straight ahead, you're going to get a far more reliable picture of how high you are than looking down at the ground.

Depends on the DZ. You could get kicked out, or nothing can happen.

Wear whatever is comfortable for you that still allows you to move around. I personally won't wear jeans because they limit my range of motion. I usually wear athletic shorts and rearrange as necessary as you're jocking up so you keep bunching to a minimum.

I'm guessing the person you responded to found a rig in the 9 years it's been since his post.
