fair enough.. I see your point. I more replied to the previous point to play devils advocate. no pun intended. I hope that you saw mine too. I was raised in a christian religious family and though I am not practicing I have respect for some religions. I don't take it personally when people call my parents insecure (among other things), as everyone is entitled to an opinion. I just wanted to illustrate that it is possible for those who like to talk down religion as a whole to be just as "weak-minded","insecure" etc as the people they are talking about. talking down religion = false sense of security for insecure people. its simple. people like to know why we exist, who created us, how we should live life, and what will happen after death. talking down religion gives them comfort so they don't feel scared about their lifes and can pass judgment on those who have found a way to deal with the fact that the answers to these questions aren't availible by any conventional means. this is a pretty broad generalization of course. I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba. That is in Canada for any who aren't familiar. They ran a Preview here yesterday for the general public which was a word of mouth preview which usually doesn't bode well for a movie. I had a slightly more private viewing though. The sound was good even though we weren't in the THX theatre. I was impressed. Went up on a load once and while climbing to altitude the wind picked up unbeknownst to us. Opened up on the wrong side of the wind over the intende landing area. No major panic, I look around the sky and see that my other 3 jumpers are in similar situations at the other cardinal points. keep pointing into wind get blown back over the hangars, over the road.. and finally over the golf course (where I decided I would land once realizing that I wasn't getting any penetration), where I landed. The Golf course was deserted as this was to be the last load of the day so there wasn't much daylight left. suddenly a man and his wife appear from the bush on the one side. The man is carrying a beer. He walks up to me and says "when I used to go ballooning, whereever we landed we would crack a bottle of champagne.. I couldn't find any champagne at home so this will have to do" as he uncapped it and handed it to me. yes it is based on a large series of books. Check out your local bookstore I am sure they will have them all collected and displayed now that the movie is out. I also saw it and was very impressed with it. Highly recommended. Not sure if this is the correct place to be asking or reporting this but: ever since I updated my "real" email address I get all forum notifications at that address instead of at my dz.com address as before. Ihave searched but I don't see a setting for where I want those emails to go. right but since the container manufacturer and the jumpsuit manufacturer and the canopy manufacturer don't necessarily use the same matierials, or when they do there is no guarantee that any of it is from the same die lot I don't really see how this is relevent.
