    Seriously, there is a trick to the getting-kicked-in-the-balls demo:
    First, the kick must come at an upward angle.
    Second, the recipient tightens his buttocks, and pivots his hips which causes the force of the kickers foot to be absorbed by the muscles of the buttocks.

    When I lived in IN, there was a local martial artist who would do this in public demos. One day he say a black belt from a competing school in the crowd, and challenged him to kick him in the balls. The guy used a TKD style in which he lifted his knee toward his chin, then drove his foot straight in horizontally. It left the guy curled up on the ground vomiting.

    Hadn't even heard of that before. Has anyone even demonstrated a gun that does that? Sounds like a major redesign of every handgun model. Also seems like the easy workaround for criminals would be to stick to revolvers that don't leave shells lying around the scene.

    Cold doesn't bother me, but what does bother me is starting the ride with temps > 32 and snow-melt on the road. Then during the ride it gets dark and the temps drop to >:(

    I just don't enjoy doing two-wheel drifts around the corners.:S

    I think davedg is likely on the right track; Overlapping private IP space on both ends of the VPN tunnel. Are you sure that 70.x IP is hers, or the NAT'd IP coming out of the head end of the tunnel?

    Anyway, I'm outta here. I do this all day for a living, and dropzone.com just doesn't pay me enough to try to do this remotely with no access to the gear.

    if that isnt what you are asking you may have to explain what an octet is....to me it is musical :$


    RFC1918 defines three ranges of IP's that are not usable on the internet: 10.0.0.0/8 172.16.0.0/12 192.168.0.0/16. If you are trying to go from 172.19.*.* to 172.21.*.*, then your source and destination must both internal to your ISP.

    Sounds like a good ride. Where do you do your riding? I'm not currently training for anything but I love those long 1/2 day rides. I normally just go out for about 35-40 miles. I have never tried to go further. About half way through my trip, I start having a difficult time staying on the saddle. Any tips for a sore ass?



    My favorites:

    b) Shorts with a gel-filled chamois.
    c) Suspension seat-post.

    Beware the Brooks saddle has a break-in period of several hundred miles.
