    I asked that same question, back when Calhan was still a fully-functioning DZ. The answer I got at the time was that there were always staff from the Academy around Calhan to keep an eye on them, so they would come up to MHS where they could get a breath of fresh air w/o the scrutiny.

    Then one of the Academy staff became part of the MHS staff on the weekends...:ph34r:

    - DC is not part of any state, therefore its stats don't exist in the stats of any other state.

    - It has a congressional representative (non-voting) which no city has.

    - It's residents have no other representation in the Senate or the House.

    - The familiar expression "Washington, D.C." originated because "Washington" was a city within the "District of Columbia", (as was Georgetown), prior to the city of Washington eventually annexing all of the property in DC.

    Therefore I will argue that politically, DC is more a state than a city.

It went over something like Orson Welles "War of the Worlds" hoax with all kinds of hysteria from people who thought it was real.   19. Re-read what I wrote. Of course it is positive PR for a business to make a charitable contribution. But telling your customers you are raising prices for the express purpose donating the increase to charity is a blunder. The reaction when it happened is proof of that.
