  6. And here he is again bragging about it to Dr. Marc Siegel: I can't wait for Sarah Cooper's next video!
  7. Only a mentally impaired person would brag about passing a test for mental impairment.
  8. This is exciting news! Why is no one talking about? I just forced myself to watch the Chris Wallace interview and learned about it. From the transcript: WALLACE: Why does it make sense to overturn Obamacare which people now are relying on? Democrats are going to say, "The man who wanted to kill Obamacare is going to take away your -- the protection for pre-existing conditions." TRUMP: First of all, we got rid of the individual mandate. WALLACE: I understand. TRUMP: Pre-existing conditions will always be taken care of by me and Republicans, 100 percent. WALLACE: But you've been in office three and a half years, you don't have a plan. TRUMP: Well, we haven't had. Excuse me. You heard me yesterday. We're signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan that the Supreme Court decision on DACA gave me the right to do. So we're going to solve -- we're going to sign an immigration plan, a health care plan, and various other plans. And nobody will have done what I'm doing in the next four weeks. The Supreme Court gave the president of the United States powers that nobody thought the president had, by approving, by doing what they did -- their decision on DACA. And DACA's going to be taken care of also. But we're getting rid of it because we're going to replace it with something much better. What we got rid of already, which was most of Obamacare, the individual mandate. And that I've already won on. And we won also on the Supreme Court. But the decision by the Supreme Court on DACA allows me to do things on immigration, on health care, on other things that we've never done before. And you're going to find it to be a very exciting two weeks. Transcript: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/transcript-fox-news-sunday-interview-with-president-trump Video:
  9. And Trump has a dilemma; A commutation like Stone got would be preferable, but he can't commute her sentence, because she yet to be sentenced. He could give her a pardon now, but if she had a pardon, she could be compelled to testify against him.
  10. Trump just sent a dog whistle that Maxwell is going to get the same deal as Stone. The federal charges need to be replaced by state charges.

This morning on another forum, some moron arguing against masks claimed that in workplaces that employ medical professionals, the building ventilation systems add additional O2 to compensate for mask usage. He was promptly refuted by everyone with a clue. Prior to college, I spent 7 years working in the building maintenance dept of a hospital, and we certainly did not add O2 via the HVAC systems.

A Stars & Stripes reprint of a WaPo article: https://www.stripes.com/news/us/superspreading-events-triggered-by-people-who-may-be-asymptomatic-propel-virus-pandemic-1.638034 Interesting that they are beginning to believe that a small minority of infected people ("super-emitters") are responsible for the vast majority of the transmissions. In a detailed analysis of outbreaks in Hong Kong, for example, researchers found three distinct groups of incidents. The superspreading individuals, representing 20% of the total, were responsible for 80% of transmissions. A second group, involving about 10% of cases, transmitted the virus to one or two others. The final group, 70%, did not infect anyone else at all.
  16. This is a WaPo article reprinted by Stars & Stripes. Apparently, this one guy has been trolling the right wing for years, and even getting them to show up armed to confront AntiFa at non-existent events. Fake flag burning at Gettysburg was only the latest hoax by a Pennsylvania man: https://www.stripes.com/news/us/fake-flag-burning-at-gettysburg-was-only-the-latest-hoax-by-a-pennsylvania-man-1.637904 The original paywalled WaPo source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/2020/07/17/gettysburg-antifa-flag-burning-troll/
  17. An LEO is entitled to pursue escaping perps. A civilian has no such right. The right to claim self-defense ends once the attack ends, i.e. the moment they turn to leave.
  18. Now, Trump and his people have gone all-in on dividing the country, both to hold his base and to frighten his opponents with fascist tactics. The administration has sent federal agents in battle gear to Portland, Oregon, in what it says is an attempt to protect federal property. But the complaints against the protesters are embarrassing. Yesterday Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf released a press release warning the American people just how dangerous the “violent anarchists” in Portland are. His list includes 17 counts of graffitiing a courthouse, damaging fences, “throwing animal seed” (what does this even mean?), vandalizing two security cameras, breaking windows, and throwing fireworks. For these acts, unidentified officers in unmarked cars are pulling people off the streets. The officers appear to be from Customs and Border Protection, and a memo obtained by The Nation says they are a special task force created by the Department of Homeland Security in response to Trump’s Executive Order on Protecting American Monuments, Memorials, and Statues and Combating Recent Criminal Violence. The task force is called the Protecting American Communities Task Force (PACT), and is supposed to combat civic unrest. Source: https://www.facebook.com/heathercoxrichardson/posts/2352935854850467

  21. DoD effectively bans Confederate flags from military installations https://taskandpurpose.com/news/pentagon-bans-confederate-flag They didn't specifically prohibit it; They just listed which flags are approved, and "flags of rebellion against the country" didn't make the list.
