  1. Stephen Colbert's Friday night monologue had the greatest zinger about the video deposition of Ivanka that was presented. (Watch the reaction of bandleader Jon Batiste).  Jump to 5:00:

..... "$5 a gallon gas, 3+ million illegals crossing our southern border, no baby formula, inflation higher than it’s been in both of our lifetimes, and this is what you want to talk about?"...... Brent for the umpteenth time?  Nope. That was Boebert to AOC when asked if she was one of the congress critters who asked Trump for a pardon for tweeting Pelosi's location on January 6. Now I can't speak for anyone else but I'd be quite sullen to find out that I was on the same page of talking points as Lauren Boebert. Imagine if my black friend found out.

You may find Mitch reprehensible, but his is likely standing in the way of someone that could be way way worse given the current political and ideological climate in

He refused to do his constitutional duty to bring up a SCOTUS nomination for a vote, in order to stack the court later with GOP lackeys. He needs to be impeached, not re-elected.

Please remember that this was back int eh days when the Front de Liberation du Quebec's favorite sport was bombing (federal) mail boxes and killing the occaissional post office worker as collateral damage. Back then we genuinely feared a bloody civil war..

So they were inspired by Northern Ireland?

Even when both are fully depreciated, coal costs roughly twice as much as nuclear (since they have to keep shoveling the stuff in.)  And even fully depreciated, it's still more expensive than NEW wind or solar.  In other words, even if you have a coal power plant fully paid for, and are paying for nothing other than the coal and the manpower to run it, you're still going to be paying $42 per megawatt-hour.  New solar is $28-$41/MWhr and new wind is $26-$50/MWhr - even taking into account all the construction costs.

    Indeed.

It has been several years since Xcel here in CO put out an invitation for bids to increase their available power, and renewables came in cheaper than anything else.

Ah! Jakee you're forgetting. trump things he is so much smarter than any lawyer. Just stroke his ego a bit and his big yapper starts to flap.

Just imagine Trump on the stand, being questioned by a prosecutor who finds a way to push his buttons until he explodes:

"YOU WANT THE TRUTH??? I CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!"

Pretty sure a massacre already took place by that point. So nothing, nothing stopped the massacre.

After the gunman gained entry to the school, police from various departments gathered to form a tactical unit.

A Border Patrol tactical unit responded to the scene, and one of its agents shot and killed the suspect, according to a source with the agency.
