  1. Oh, this is good!

Former president Trump has his own problems this evening stemming from the civil case against him, his older sons, and other officers and parts of the Trump Organization in New York, where Attorney General Letitia James has charged him with committing fraud by inflating the value of his assets. Today New York judge Arthur Engoron ruled that Trump and his company deceived banks and insurers by massively overvaluing his real estate holdings in order to obtain loans and better terms for deals. The Palm Beach County assessor valued Mar-a-Lago, for example, at $18 million, while Trump valued it at between $426 million and $612 million, an overvaluation of 2,300% (not a typo).

    LOL!!!

Another tech that will ultimately reduce the available jobs.

In CO they can't even find bus drivers, and it has been like this for a while. Just this morning I saw this:

Colorado Department of Transportation's Bustang between Denver and Fort Collins experiencing regular cancellations due to driver shortage

A spokesperson for CDOT confirmed that a driver shortage was largely to blame for the repetitive cancellations

I've had Jeeps before and not had any issues with them, unlike EVERY Chevrolet product I've had except one - the Firebird Formula 350.

    Consider yourself lucky;

My current Wrangler (2006): At 30,000 miles it developed "death wobble". Took it to the dealer where I bought it, and the goddamned idiot mechanic tried to tell me it was an out of round tire. Anyone who knows anything about "death wobble" knows it has nothing to do with tires. Did some more digging around online and found a little independent repair shop in Denver who even had Youtube videos posted specifically about Wranger death wobble.

So I took it to them. The multiple instances of the wobble had resulted in damage to every joint in the front end, (except the kingpin joints), requiring them to all need replacement. And the steering box needed to be rebuilt.

My previous Wrangler was a 1993. At 80,000 miles the rear axle had to be replaced with a rebuilt unit.

Now it appears that the commander of the fleet may have been killed, with two more Generals in the ICU / comas. I wonder how much they're being deceived by their own misinformation.

Don't worry; Russian medical care will have them up, walking around, and falling out of windows in no time at all!

For a change, we have a Dem:

Sen. Menendez(D, NJ) indicted for bribery/corruption.

Menendez is charged with three alleged crimes, including being on the receiving end of a bribery conspiracy. The conspiracy counts also charge his wife Nadine, and three people described as New Jersey associates and businessmen, Wael Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibes.

Menendez and the other defendants will appear in court at 10:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

The group is accused of coordinating to use Menendez’s power as a US senator to benefit them personally and to benefit Egypt.

In the indictment, prosecutors accuse Menendez of trying to sway the president’s choice of the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey to benefit one of the business associates and to pressure the Department of Agriculture to protect a business monopoly another contact had from Egypt.

And his invitation to join the GOP is coming in 3...2...1...

Yep, she dumped him upon learning he was an LGBTQ friendly Democrat. We do have our standards, it seems.

How do we know if she really dumped him?

And how do we know she aware he was a Democrat all along?

This could be evidence that even hard-core Trumpanista's would rather spend their off-hours with fun liberals/progressives than with other dull fear-mongering MAGA types.

Five US hostages held by Iran have been released today. For which the US paid $1.2 billion US per hostage. No hostages from any other country was released. Probably because there aren't any. The president of Iran was interviewed on ABC and stated that the money can be used for whatever Iran wants. The money was owned by Iran.

The US didn't pay anything; It was Iran's money being frozen in South Korea.

Kanaani said the funds, blocked in South Korea after U.S. sanctions on Iran were hardened in 2018, would be available to Tehran on Monday. Under the deal, Qatar will ensure the cash is spent on humanitarian goods and not items under U.S. sanctions.

According to the article I read, they did do plenty of planning, and they had planned to stop at a certain rest area with chargers. Several chargers there were offline, and the advance party tried to sit in an unused available spot to reserve it, which is not nice, and got the cops called on them.

There is a reason Ford GM Volvo Mercedes Benz and a host of other manf. have decided to join Tesla and use their charging network. Tesla's network is huge and it is very reliable.  Volkswagen, which owns Electrify America, one of the crappy charging networks, is in a tough spot. Do they throw in the towel and join Tesla, or do they stick it out?

They could start by maintaining their charging stations, instead of just building them, then forgetting about them:

Ron DeSantis is appealing to the uneducated GOP base again.

"the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended on Tuesday that everyone six months and older who had not received a Covid-19 shot in the last two months receive a booster vaccine." ..."Mr. DeSantis’s administration advised that Florida residents under the age of 65 skip the updated boosters."...I will not stand by and let the F.D.A. and C.D.C. use healthy Floridians as guinea pigs for new booster shots,

Appealing to the base for votes. Keeping the Florida deficit down by eliminating Florida residents . Assisting new Florida immigrants by opening up newly vacant homes for them to move into. Its a Win, Win, Win.

But on the upside, it will be eliminating more poorly-educated residents, than informed residents.
