CDC announcement was pure politics. Who is going to stop every non-mask wearer to verify vaccination? Now every anti-vaxer has been given carte blanche to go around contracting/spreading and developing new variants. Just dumb!
  6. Sounds damning for the Cirrus pilot: “Both pilots acknowledged that they were cleared for the runway that they were expected to land on,” he said. Patlovany said the Cirrus— the plane with the parachute— continued way past the center line of the approved runway 17 Right and made it all the way to the center line of runway 17 Left where the Key Lime— larger plane— was cleared to land. Air traffic control audio, radar provide clues to what led to midair collision over Cherry Creek State Park
  7. According to this, the company payed $5M ransom, but the provided decrypting utility was so slow, they just scrapped it and restored from backups: Ransomware victim Colonial Pipeline paid $5m to get oil pumping again, restored from backups anyway – report
  8. Inability to understand the consequences of stupid actions? I'm betting there is a huge overlap between those sets!
  9. So he survived. Damn. A swing and a miss by Darwin.
  10. Gaetz associate signals he will plead guilty in federal case, a worrisome development for the congressman Looks like Greenberg may have flipped on Gaetz.
  11. You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.
  12. I used to live down there. They walked away from the landings, but I don't think they will be using the airplanes again. More videos and photos here: https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/plane-collision-crash-cherry-creek-reservoir/73-79563af1-af84-482c-b3f8-f9b40d9378eb
  13. Colonial Pipeline begins restarting pipeline operations following ransomware attack Just in time! I was down to my last garbage bag of gasoline!
  14. My theory is that was just another way of saying they were out.
  15. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before some moron with plastic bags of gasoline in the car, lights up a cigarette.
  16. Every time I think I have reached an understanding of just how stupid people can be, I find I'm still overestimating them: https://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/gas-shortage-pictures
  17. There is a flock of them on Flagstaff Mountain (overlooking Boulder), but they are shy as hell and stay away from people. The only reason I noticed them was because I was on a bicycle and happened to get fairly close before they saw me and ran. I've seen them twice, but could never get close enough to get a photo.
  18. Doh! Blamed it on the Chinese, or the Ukrainians, or some random Latin American country, or course.
  19. Time to make friends with the neighbors who own EVs.

Why does is it so impossible for the GOP fools to grasp that: 1. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016. 2. Trump lost the popular vote by an even larger margin in 2020 after the nation had experienced 4 years of his "leadership". It takes a complete imbecile to think that supporting Trump in 2024 is a winning strategy.
  21. Another consideration for those retired and on Medicare, is that Medicare premiums have thresholds at which they jump according to Modified Adjusted Gross Income. See the chart 2/3 down this page: Premiums: Rules For Higher-Income Beneficiaries
