  1. Does anyone know if the liquid eyewear sunglasses give a good seal around the eyes for jumping. I currently have a pair of nike sunglasses that fit great but after several years they are getting pretty beat up.
  2. What type of IR cord or IR flash drive or whatever the hell it is that you use to update the neptune 2, would you get? Also where can you get the neptune 2 armor? Thanks. Joel
  3. Which do you feel is better for videoing new students?
  4. I have never had a problem extracting mine. EVER.
  5. I just thought that new batteries typically read 6500 when they are brand new. I may be wrong. But I think that is pretty much reading 6280 when I sent it in to get packed and there was a new battery installed.
  6. Does anyone know what a brand new cypres battery should read at on the countdown? mine just had a new one put in and only reads 6280 in the countdown. Is that right? let me know please
  7. Just flew an hour the third weekend of April and let me just say wow! First off jimmy tranter was my coach and he kicked major ass, derick p was the tunnel instructor and Derek v and Jordan were also helping other students on the same block as myself and they kicked ass too. I will definitely return this year probably more than once. I was always one who could never justify the money spent for the amount of time in the tunnel that you get. That's where I was wrong I am now a believer in the tunnel and will definitely add a few trips a year to my routine. Thanks all at svco. Joel
  8. My quickest and most accurate description is that it is basically batting practice for skydivers. I would like to hear yours
  9. Skydive Chicago paid 40 per jump last I knew
  10. I have a friend who is doing aff right now at raeford parachute center in north carolina and will be stationed at ft. sill, oklahoma. What dz's near lawton, oklahoma would be good for him to finish his student training at? Thanks for the help.
  11. Ok I assume the coach has to work directly for them?
  12. Alright. Thanks for the heads up.
  13. I went to their site and saw the prices and packages and wondered if there are any other ways to find cheap time in the tunnel. Sharing time is fine but I live in ks so it won't be that frequent, league same problem I'm guessing, any other ideas? Thanks guys.
  14. I think it all comes down to personal preference, I can sit here and tell you why I think certain rigs are better than others all day. I like vectors, I researched all major containers and have jumped most of them. I am a rigger and vector 3's are rigger friendly in my opinion, and a lot of other riggers I know feel the same way. I have seen brake lines floating out from javelins riser covers, I have seen premature openings on javelins, I have owned a javelin, I have packed reserves on javelins. This is an educated answer not just purely opinion. No where did I say that javelins or icon pro was not as good or a bad rig. Through what I have seen and research I have done myself and rigs I have jumped, I choose vector 3. I am not saying that vector 3 is the only rig out there, but in my opinion it is the best choice. Also I have called and talked to many manufacturers and vector 3 is prompt and gives you a no bullshit answer. Thanks, and done.
  15. vector 3 has all bases covered. from pin protection to primary and secondary riser covers, skyhook which was created by bill booth, rigger friendly, very good support from the manufacturer. Trust me do your homework on vector 3 and you will probably change your mind. I owned an odyssey and sold mine because the main flap would pop open every time in a sit. Send me a PM if you need to chat more.
  16. I use big rubber bands on the first two locking stows and then small rubber bands for the rest. There a few great vids on YouTube about packing and proper line tension from performance designs. good luck.
  17. Trying to get ideas for some reasonably priced tunnel time with a coach, any info is appreciated.
