Thanks for the info. I was actually talking about the still camera when referring the memory card slot. To my understanding the Rebel XS slot is on the bottom (you have to take the camera off to get the card out) and the XSi is on the side. This could be incorrect?

I'm about to purchase my camera/camcorder and accessories to start working as a videographer. I've been talking with a friend who has about 900 video jumps and he's telling me to get a Rebel XSi and and CX100. I've seen CX100-250 or whatever...what's the difference? Something about the image stabilization not being on the newer handycams? What's wrong with the Rebel XS? Why the XSi. Is there something else I should be looking at? Thanks in advance.
