  1. Yep. I don't know that I fully agree with you that he's worse than Christiansen, but he's certainly right there with him IMO.
  2. I watched the Reca documentary and enjoyed it, as I do most things related to Cooper. Although at the end of the day, it isn't really related to Cooper is it? The documentary proved to further my doubt that Reca had anything to do with Norjack. Burden of proof is on the one presenting the suspect, not the other way around.
  3. Why do you think that is the case? If Cooper were ex military, would his prints have been recorded at some point? I'm sure this has been covered at some point in the past and I should probably know the answer to this, but I do not.
  4. He was asking which newspaper was offering a reward for the first Cooper 20 that was found. I don't recall which newspaper it was, but I think I saw it in the most recent 302 dump. I just haven't had the chance to go back and find it. Been covered up with work.
  5. I don't recall. I think it was in the last set of 302's that were released.
  6. No one would have ever believed that Dick Briggs was DB Coper. No one. No one with half a brain that is.
  7. Banks were checking the serial numbers in 1971, but for how long? But it wasn't just banks. The general public was as well. 302's are full of people writing into the FBI requesting the list of serial numbers so that they could look for a Cooper 20. There was also at least one newspaper that was offering a cash reward for the first Cooper 20 that was found.
  8. You are correct, I do not know. I never said that I knew. What I said is that there is no reason to believe that his murder is related to the Cooper case. If someone presented something that suggested otherwise, then great. But other than wild speculation, there is nothing that points to his murder having anything to do with DB Cooper.
  9. Geez, I was afraid you would ask that, which is the reason I almost didn't answer. It was put out there quite a bit in the first year or two after Cossey's murder. But, unlike Flyjack, I read something and then I move on, instead of bookmarking it or saving it somewhere. I really should start doing that I guess. So, my answer is what it is, but I can't link it or give a source for it and quite honestly I don't have the time to dig it up. Bruce Smith could probably shed some light on it if you would reach out to him. However, there is simply no reason at this point - 9 years later, to think that Cossey's murder was related to the Cooper case.
  10. I enjoyed the interview. I found Lisa Story to be credible, meaning that I believe that she believes what she is saying. But, that isn't rare among those with suspects. But, Reca wasn't Cooper.
  11. Cossey was known to carry large amounts of cash on his person.
  12. Very cool indeed. I thought the first one looked too young. I wish they would have done the Schaffner sketch that is often compared to Braden.
  13. So who knows? I've never read Tosaw's book. Is it worth a read?
  14. According to Geoff Gray's Skyjack, Flo and Alice were offered the change from the $20 that Cooper used to purchase his drink. So Alice may not have actually gotten a good look at the ransom money.
  15. Welcome. Completely off topic, but what instrument do you play and what type of music?
  16. From Larry Carr on the DB Cooper facebook page: "The 302 relates to the money isn’t really clear. We know the money had rubber bands when found but the 302 says the money was banded in stacks of 100. I assume from the way it was written they were paper bank bands. But the 302 doesn’t specifically point out paper bands."
  17. Didn't you post something a while back, where Tina indicated the money had "bank type bands"? Seems like I remember you posting something along those lines. I don't know that it's that important in the big picture. I think three packets being rubber banded together arriving at Tena Bar is more logical than three individual packets arriving together. Makes much more sense that the packets were randomized into bundles. I'm afraid Georger is right though, we'll never get these answers.
  18. I thought he did that already. I also thought he was out of the Cooper biz...
  19. Damn. You just gave me a bad headache with this! I think for human intervention to be considered, we need to start with the one human that we knew had the money, and that is Cooper himself. Maybe he hid the money somewhere close to the Columbia with the intention of retrieving it later? Perhaps he tossed the money in the Columbia knowing that the serial numbers were being checked and he though he wouldn't be able to spend it. Maybe something spooked him and he decided to toss the money. Maybe seeing McCoy get busted red handed with his ransom in his home made him decide to toss it in the spring of 72? So may possibilities. Either of these may not be what happened, but no need to move the flight path or landing zone with these scenarios. I'm a pessimist about pretty much everything. Glass half empty. But I don't think we will ever know how that money wound up in the Columbia and onto Tena Bar. Even if we find out who Cooper is.
  20. Can you think of any other event or process that would result in that many fragments of money at TB? Doesn't it almost have to be from a dredge?
  21. I plan on sitting down with 12 pack and watching tomorrow evening. 4 hours of bad Cooper is still probably better than anything else I can find. My expectations are not high though...
  22. So, what do you think he did (assuming he landed with the money)? Getting it out of the area makes the TB find harder to explain, right? I don't know if I believe he lost the money, or stashed it. But I have a hard time believing that he left the area with the money....if he even survived, which I kinda believe he did.
  23. Did the comic character, "Dan Cooper", hijack a plane in the comic?
  24. Ok. I don't recall having seen those dimensions before, although I probably have. I assumed it would have been bigger than that.
  25. So, Cooper didn't ask for specific denomination of bills. But, if he asked for 200 grand in a knapsack, can we assume he expected a larger denomination? I can't see all those 20's fitting in a knapsack.
