  1. Nope Actually my two sense regarding the Cypress. If a balloon takes off then travels a bit, and if the ground isn't flat (somewhere with hills), you should turn your cypress off or change the settings to compensate for the difference of altitude. Anyways I have never jumped out of a balloon (would love to though), but I think what I am saying makes sense. D
  2. I have a 20 month old boy. Don't jump as often as I would like to, but get to watch skydiving videos with him. Papa .....people fly fly.
  3. Let me try again. First of all I pull higher (3000), this just came up once. Protrack says 1100 feet for deployment, some one said that the cypress should have fired. I am just curious if lets say that a protrack marks 900 feet as the deployment, would you have two out ??
  4. I am just curious when the cypress arms itself. I was told that it decides at 1100 or 1200 feet and it will fire for sure (no matter what) at 750, as opposed to a vigil which decides at 800 and fires at 800. For example if you have a low pull at say 1000 feet will your cypress still fire ?
  5. A muff dive is wearing ear muffs under your helmet on cold day in Canada, I don't know what you are thinking...
  6. I jump at Dunnville, going out next weekend, if they still flying.Quote
  7. Well, well in Canada we count a little different. Kinda like the way we spell, color vs. colour. I was just having a little fun with the math, sorry to throw anyone of.
  8. I guess I should have hunted through my email a little more, I found the name of the guy. So thanks anyways. BTW the canapoy only has three jumps on it (including my 150). WOW! and it is only five years old manufactured in 92, double WOW!
  9. I am not sure if I should be putting this in the gear forum, but I think more people would read it here. I want to sell my sabre1 190 all red with yellow stabilizers; and I can't remember how many jumps were on it when I bought it. So if you sold your used canopy to Dave in Toronto, please let me know. Blue Skies, Dave
  10. that makes two of us, but I try to hold the laugh in..... It never works
  11. Those who hesitate shall inherit the earth, Took me a second to get it, but I like it.
  12. To be honest I never jumped a manta. I started with a sabre 210 and 190. I think a 190 is a nice size to start with. I also wiegh 190lbs on a good day just FYI.
  13. Thanks every one for the input. All in all you just reconfirmed what I thought. I really like what ROK wrote as well, thanks. I will stick the 190 for this season, and really try to explore its ranges. Next year I will get what I wanted in the first place anyways, a Sabre2 170. Blue Skies
  14. Hey there, I will post this in the gear forum as well. I just have a quick question, I have 170 jumps (weigh 195lbs), and jump a sabre 190. I was thinking of getting a sabre2 170, but then somebody at the DZ offered me hornet 150. My question is: would I be l loading the hornet too heavily or is it a good choice. I was thinking of taking it for a "test drive" before making my decision. Thanks for the input. Dave
  15. I live in TO, and I don't think I have ever looked at the CN tower that long. Nice pics!
