  1. We just found out that Hooters is going to be an official sponsor of Wing Ding, that means Hooters girls and wings on Saturday. Also I am getting together some cool stuff to be given away, you really do not want to miss this Boogie!!
  2. Can't wait to see all my friends out there at Skydive Monroe for Wing Ding, this is going to be fun! The weekend before Wing Ding last year was when I did my first tandem jump, then I came back for Wing Ding and I found out that skydivers are some crazy fun people!
  3. http://www.vkmag.com/magazine/onderzoek_naar_sex_tijdens_parachute_sprong/ here is the ACTUAL video of them having sex...gotta say i was sorta disappointed.
  4. just bought it and installed it on my phone....now I can practice in my spare time. thanks! Jason
  5. I am replying to this post but this goes for all the posts above...thank you for the great information. I just made my first AFF on Sunday, I would have gone for 2 and 3 but there were no more loads going up. It was amazing and I passed. I am planning to be up there this weekend and to finish the AFF. After I do my AFF I really want to buy my gear. I will most likely trust the advice of the jumpmasters who are teaching me and the DZO. At this point I don't get the "smaller canopy" thing, but maybe I will after 100 jumps. thanks again! Jason
  6. I have heard a ton of good, and a little bad about Skyhooks. I have heard that the Vector 3 is the best thing out there. I am brand new so I really have no idea. I am just finishing AFF. Some people have told me to hold off on buying equipment until I have made 100 jumps (so that I can buy a smaller canopy). I want the opinions of experts... Jason
  7. Can I buy a log book online? if so where?
  8. Thanks SkyMama, I am an internet marketer by trade so I figured there was a forum out here online for this stuff. I was happy to find DropZone.com. The Boogie was great! Now I am ready to do my AFF. J
  9. Understood...but the iPhone app backs up to my dropbox so if I did lose my phone I would just get a new one, download the app and import my data....not a big deal at all.
  10. thanks for the great answers....I start my AFF on the 21st, have you heard about the iPhone app... "Skydiving Logbook" I have been getting em logged in there, but I need to get the instructors to sign off (they sign off in there with their USPA number). I just wonder if the app will be seen as legitimate to different DZ's I may visit? Jason
  11. I just made my first two jumps, both tandems, and I just signed up for my 7 AFF jumps. My question is in regards to getting my A license (25 jumps), do my two tandems count in that number? I used the iPhone logbook app to log them in. Jason
  12. I used to be a professional magician in Vegas and I knew David Copperfield, probably the world's most famous magician. Anyway, after 25 years of performing on stage he told me "Everyone gets butterflies before a show, even me, the difference is, I know how to make mine fly in formation!" Use your nervous energy as POWER Jason
  13. Dude I feel ya, I am two tandems in and I have already signed up for the full AFF package...everyone I know except a few close friends think I have lost my mind. I have...and I have gained a new one! Jason
  14. Do tandems count in the 25? I am starting AFF next weekend and I already have two tandems. That would mean at the end of AFF I would have (7+2) 9 jumps? I didn't think tandems counted??? Jason
  15. Hey everyone, I stumbled across this site after looking up gear and such online. I have been in the sport a grand total of ten days, I have made two tandem jumps and I am signed up to do AFF. I went to my first boogie this past weekend (WingDing 2011 at Skydive Monroe) and had a blast. I look forward to getting to know you all and meeting you some day at the DZ. Until then, my name is Jason and I am glad to be here! Jason
