I was talking to a co-worker today about skydiving, and somewhere in the conversation I threw out the word "boogie," which was followed by much laughter, and a what the hell is that? Basically, he thought, "what a p*ssy word for a party for a bunch of bad-asses!" (didn't know you were all bad-asses did ya).... Anyway, it got me thinking, where did it originate from, and who named it? Just curious if any of you old-timers know (hell, some of you may have been at that first boogie ). blues! Merrick

I would love to see how well you and your kid relate when she becomes an adult. I didn't speak to my father for many years because of this kind of shit parenting. Hmmm... and I'm sure you were the model kid, never kept anything from your dad... I'm sure you never gave him any reason not trust you. Someone else summed it up perfectly.... if a 16 year old girl is keeping something from her parents it's trouble... they're the first that need to know about it. Blues! Merrick

She nailed it!! I'd like to see how people who are crying, "don't invade her privacy, you'll ruin her trust "actually have kids. My guess is the majority are fresh out of their parents houses' themselves. As a parent that has faced this very situation let me say that matewatcher is a great keylogger (http://www.matewatcher.com/pages/1/index.htm). We suspected my daughter of mischief online, so we downloaded this little tool, busted her, and now she knows that we can see everything she does on the computer. Even before we downloaded the matewatcher program we made her give us all of her passwords... as long as their in my house, they have no privacy. Granted, my daughter is about 2 1/2 years younger than yours, but this didn't effect our relationship at all, she's a good kid, and she knows that what she was doing was wrong. Your job is to be her parent, not her friend. I know sometimes it's hard to remember that, because it's a lot more fun to be their friends, but that won't teach them anything, or help keep them out of situations they shouldn't be in. I had one of mine pierced for about 5 years and the other for about 3 years. The first one healed better than the second, but still took about a year to heal. Then every once in a while they would get crusty and kinda gross, so I took them out last year. Ahh well... at least I have some nice man-nipples now! other than the problems I had with them, I liked mine, and so'd the wife. I say go for it, you can always take them out if you don't like it. I was curious if any of you knew how to get ahold of these government seizure or bank repossessed automobile lists that I see advertised everywhere? Everyone I see that offers the lists are wanting to charge for them, this info has got to be public knowledge somewhere, right? Any info would be helpful, thanks. Blues, Merrick
