We all have personality conflicts with someone else in the Vortex. I’ve never known Fly to be a bully. I’d actually say he’s the exact opposite. He calls everyone out. He’s a peaceful guy who has a lot of case knowledge. So does Georger and so does Blevins. It’s a loss for Fly to not be on the boards. That’s my opinion. This isn’t taking sides. Chaucer you’ve had some good posts and seem to adapt well. If we get too heated with eachother then it ruins the fun. Maybe you guys should just not respond to eachother. Don’t take this as I don’t feel like knocking some people out sometimes. :)

Do you think the long-term goals of cleaner air are worth some sacrifice? Do you think that the increasing number and severity of fires in parts of the world are something to address other than one-at-a-time? It's kind of like asking if it's better to try to prevent crime, or simply catch the criminals and imprison them. Or to prevent disease (even if through uncomfortable means by exercise and eating less junk food), rather than taking metformin every day. Yeah, there are pills to fix these things for short-term comfort, but they're stopgap solutions. Prevention is nearly always better. And there will always be incidences that escape prevention -- there are diabetics who have lived healthy lives, days with bad pollution in California, and criminals. Just fewer of them -- compare, for example, the number of bad pollution days in LA with New Delhi, or the incidence of adult-onset diabetes in Mississippi with that of the 7th-Day Adventist communities. Have lefty administrations reduced the amount of oil that can be exported? What makes sense to you is irrelevant. What is in reality happening is perhaps slightly more important.

My exception is for blatant acts of discrimination, of course. The normal right to refuse service to those who earn it must remain sacrosanct. Although, and I'm sure you'll agree, just being a bit of an asshole shouldn't apply.

It is odd that it or nothing of it was left on the plane. If half the canopy and lines were cut off to make it easier to repack as a training device, it might have held some of the money as it was, but that would be a lot of bulk to tie to himself for a little bit of money that might otherwise fit in his pockets or his pants. Well that's how I try to earn my keep around here, since most of my comments are either obvious speculation or smart-ass remarks, haha.

That wasn't what I was discussing. It was presented as being child abuse. I reacted to that since Winsor belongs to a tribe that forces actual child abuse as part of their culture. Any decision made in conjunction with or for a child may not be in their best interest. You are a parent, I am sure you understand there is a very fine line between being supportive AND acting in the best interest of the child. When to seek out professional help, etc. Each situation and each child is different. I certainly wouldn't agree that each child that wants to transition should transition, nor do I agree that no child should ever be allowed to transition. All the more reason to allow conversation, dialogue, communication and a network of experts to work through these things. Not just blanket prohibition. Kind of like how we deal with circumcision as a society, just to bring it full circle.

Thanks Dudeman, I was hoping you'd jump on and give us some background.
