Lindsey Graham made it very clear he is all for the government having the power to detain people indefinitely without trial or any access to the judicial system. Marsha Blackburn and others (such as all three Republicans running for Michigan Attorney General) have spoken out clearly that they think Griswold vs Connecticut (the Supreme Court case that legalized birth control for married couples) was wrongly decided. Republican Senator Mike Braun of Indiana thinks that the Supreme Court was wrong on contraception, interracial marriage, and same-sex marriage. Ted Cruz and most Republican politicians are totally on board about censoring any expression regarding racial history or race relations. The great majority of Republican politicians are in favor of restricting elections so that only Republicans can win. They are also about throwing out the 2020 election and installing the loser in office. Every time I hear or read that Republicans "love the Constitution" it makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit. Every time I hear or read that Republicans "love America" it makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit more.

If someone who had tried to smear my family asked me, there is a very good chance I would simply refuse to answer, so as not to give them anything useful at all. I suspect you might do something similar. Would your refusal to answer indicate that it was or was not yours? Or would it indicate that you simply did not want to help them in any way? This is a lesson I've learned in part from this place. You do not owe anyone an answer - especially if they are going to use that answer to attempt to damage you (or others.)

Now that Trump is safely out of the White House, the NYT admits the laptop belongs to Hunter. The scope and breadth of the misinformation campaign, suppressing the truth about Hunter’s laptop, was breathtaking. NYT, the intel community, Facebook, Twitter, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and others colluding to protect Biden and influence an election. https://nypost.com/2022/03/17/the-times-finally-admits-hunter-bidens-laptop-is-real/

I've listened to 6 hours of the hearings. Smart, polished, with experience. She knows she will be confirmed thus no stress, all she has to do is not make a big mistake. Some of her answers are concerning. Remember that ACO was blasted over concerns about how she would vote on Obamacare issues. When an issue arose she upheld Obamacare. We'll see how Jackson performs on the court. Roll on, there are bigger concerns.

Omicron is a Greek letter. The Greek alphabet has been around for a couple of centuries. Greek letters are used as 'shorthand' in a wide variety of places. Higher math one of the common ones. To pretend that the use of Greek letters for the variants of the virus contains 'hidden messages' in the anagrams is pretty silly. Life is NOT a movie, where the villain hides clues for the hero to decipher. That's one of the 'founding principles' of the Q idiocy. It's not any less stupid there. Not sure what country you live in that has an 'informed, educated citizenry'. The level of stupidity that's been demonstrated in the past couple years is abso-freaking-lutely astonishing. Among other things: The vax contains tracking chips. The new 5G network is causing the illness, not the virus. The vax is the 'mark of the beast' foretold in Revelation. (funny that they ignore the part where it says 'on the forehead' as they wear hats with the slogan from someone who has a pretty close resemblance to the Anti-Christ) There have been more people killed by the vax than by the virus. The virus is fake. But it was manufactured and intentionally released by China (with Fauci's help). Covid is 'just like the flu' (yet these morons have no clue how bad the flu can be... And Covid's worse). On the plus side, hundreds of thousands of these fools have died. The seven day average death rate just dropped below 1000 for the first time since last November, and that was only for a couple days. It hasn't been consistently under 1000 since last August. The consequences for thousands has been death. To impose other consequences on what people who refuse to take precautions against a deadly virus is not a new thing. Quarantines used to be quite common. And strictly enforced. People with Tuberculosis were committed to institutions. They were 'just a little bit sick', but were FORCED out of their homes and into rather unpleasant sanatoriums. And if they tried to refuse, they were put in a straight jacket and taken against their will. As far as education goes, there was a time when kids were required to show proof of a variety of vaccinations to attend school. The anti-vax idiots have done a lot of damage, which is why we're seeing outbreaks of measles (among other vax-preventable diseases) in modern society. The old idea that 'your right to swing your fist ends at my nose' can be transposed to 'your right to wander around spreading a deadly virus ends when you expose others to it'. Last - when did I ever publicly accuse you of Drunk Posting? Please show me.

Indiana's Governor; Eric Holcomb vetoes the trans sports bill and then turns around and signs the constitutional carry. Can anyone else hear the back room deals going on? Shame on both sides.

Evidently one of the January 6th trump insurrection "suspects" has returned to his homeland. I wonder how long it will take for some of the others to follow? Perhaps Donald will build a hotel there to accommodate them and make a buck. Jan. 6 suspect who fled U.S. granted refugee status by Belarus 'The man, Evan Neumann, faces several charges, including that he assaulted police officers when he participated in the riot."

Hunter gets a multi million dollar job where he has no experience and you don't think there's quid pro quo? I don't care because I have no control and zero expectation that anything will happen. I just thought it was funny how you all try to pick this turd up from the clean end.

Trump and family were already billionaires, while the Biden clan made millions out of thin air. Much of it via the slave labor in China.

And this is where the Republicans proved that they see governing as an exercise of power, not as how they serve the country. The completely chickenshit charade around the “too fast” confirmation of Merrick Garland vs. the much faster charade around ACB indicates that shoving “beating the opposition” is more important than the service of the people. Yes, one could say that they think they’re serving better by serving up situational judgments if when something is OK and when it isn’t (kind of like the police and driving while Black), but that’s bullshit. Laws should be followed, and enforced, consistently and blindly. As in blind to who is being judged. Judge the actions, not the person. Decide your course of action based on the current situation, but then treat it like the precedent it is, and be open to question if you diverge Wendy P.

As a sort of study in right wing disinformation consider this headline from Hot Air, a conservative political website: Meteorologist: Biden linking tornados to climate change is "utter insanity" Let's just look at the headline. (The story is even worse.) First off, they did talk to a meteorologist. So that's accurate. Next they talk about Biden. But the meteorologist was not talking about Biden in the article; he was talking about the head of FEMA who said that more tornadoes are "the new normal." So there's lie #1. Next they claim he said "utter insanity." He never said that. (He did say "insanity.") So that's lie #2. They also buttress their claims by saying that TWO meteorologists said something similar. The second "meteorologist" is Chris Martz, who is a . . . . college freshman in meterology. So lie #3. What happens next is that a right wing victim of that misinformation posts "Biden claims that climate change causes tornadoes even though meteorologists say it's 'utter insanity!' " And before a rational argument can even begin, they are starting with three lies. So any discussion first has to wade through that, with the usual "liberal media, attacking the messenger blah blah" misdirection as well.
