1 pointOr maybe you’re just shit at stating your position clearly? Your penchant for superfluous elongation of discourse in order to facilitate the association of intelligence in the poster to the reader, provides no more than illusionary and self-delusionary camoflague for the lack of substance in your own posts.

1 pointEvening, Jerry. I'm pretty much done with this topic. He's going to continue to defend his thread topic. Have a good week. Keith

1 pointI see no justification for that claim. An attempt to be pithy, but contains no grain of truth.

1 pointAnd right there is the problem. The right wing has taken an idea that they don't like and frightens them and claimed it is an "ideology". It is not and never has been. It is merely a description of being aware of a group of facts. The only idiocy and pathology I see in this thread is your thinly veiled hatred of ideas you reject.

1 pointWhat Bill said at the end was, "I realized I have a lot to learn. Working on it." And, I think what he said about "Woke" = "Aware" is important. On a similar note, I had a contractor in the house and we were discussing this - he's quite educated, degrees in econ from a Calif school, etc. And he used the "I have black friends" thing. I spent a couple of days chewing on it and came up with this hypothesis: Maybe what they're saying is, "I used to be more prejudiced than now" - IOW I'm aware that I wasn't. So, instead of beating them up with the Ooooooh, SO you have black friends routine; ask them when did you realize you were prejudice? BTW - that is a CRT principle.

1 pointWhen you have lived your entire life with privileges, equality seems like oppression. When you've lived your entire life with incredible advantages over other people, allowing them to compete on an actually equal basis is unfathomable. And horrible. So you invent derogatory terms, attack the concepts with lies and false equivalences, and end up clearly demonstrating why that equality is important.

1 pointI still don't even know what the hell "woke" even means. As far as I can tell it is nothing more than a catch phrase used by old white men who feel that they are losing something if someone else is gaining something.

1 pointWhy would it be? Like you, she had a talent for taking 20 pages to express a 2 line idea. Like you, she takes the most superficial view of a complex subject and pretend that what she’s saying is complex because of the sheer amount of waffle she surrounds it with. Like you, she spends half her time discussing completely separate concepts like Marxism that she pretends are connected simply because she mentions them in the same sentence. Ive had lettuce sandwiches on Wonder Bread that were more interesting than dissecting that mountain of blah.

1 point????? The idiot instructor did everything wrong except not leave the aircraft. The student was basically looking good. A little in person coaching from someone with more fall rate and body control than the student would have turned this jump into a huge success. Yes, the instructor did gobs of things that were dangerous. I got my AFF rating in 1988. I've done more AFF than most people have jumps. I'm telling you, based on my actual experience, this was horrible.

1 pointOf course its IMPOSSIBLE to shut everything down for 2 weeks. Some people HAVE to go places, nurses, long term care facilities, hospitals, people who make sure you get power to keep that food that you go to the store cold, people in the food chain, people who keep your city water up and running, etc etc... The list goes on and on. Your 100% shutdown could never happen and even suggesting that it could be possible even if everyone wanted to do it and agreed to it is simply out of touch with reality.
