3 pointsAfter a 14 year layoff, I made my first jump yesterday, due to a hanggliding accident that left me paralyzed below my knees. I jumped a PD Navigator 280 just fine. Is there a better canopy out there with a smaller pack volume that has a powerful flare/stopping power??? Looking to purchase gear that will work with my disability. And go!

1 pointBingo. Funding things that actually help the community is going to... Help the community. That's so obvious, it shouldn't require explanation. Unfortunately, so many people see 'defund the police' as 'cut their funding so that they can't do their jobs'. Included in those people is Florida gov DeSantis. I don't fully agree with the assertion that policing has completely changed since the terrorist attacks in 2001. Those attacks did cause a lot of diversion from 'community policing' projects to 'the War On Terrorism', but the militarization of the cops started long before that. The idea that a strong show of force is the best way to combat crime has long been the 'go-to' strategy for far too many cops & politicians for far too long.

1 pointTHAT MUCH, I RESPECT . FROM THE START YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID YOU WERE IT DOING HOW YOU LIKED AND WE COULD ALL JUST GO SPELL CHECK OURSELVES .

1 pointIf you looked at what I was thinking instead of just looking for opportunities to continue a petty feud, then you might have something relevant to say instead of just pointless bloviating. Yes, if you divert some money away from armed police (erm, defund them?) to pay for unarmed community officers you'll probably reduce the amount of active harm the police do in certain communities. If you divert some money away from them to pay for social workers and programs that have nothing whatsoever to do with the world of law enforcement then you could start to help.

1 pointHi, any info about an app I remember help to find the frebag/canopy spot after ctaways ??, you put the wind direction an intensity and the cutaway spot and gives you some probably circle places to looking for.

1 pointBy 1) taking them away when they are arrested and 2) making them harder for criminals to get. That will draw down the number of weapons criminals have. Well, all the current laws haven't stopped drunk driving, rape or murder either. Still, they are good to have, and they do reduce the incidence of those crimes, even if they are not 100% effective. The two sentences above do not contradict each other. The vast majority of police are good at a difficult job; in addition police, as a whole, rely on weapons too much.
