4 pointsI don't understand why staying home is so hard. 105 million Americans managed it on Election Day in 2016.

1 pointHi Ken, We have had mail-in only here in Oregon ( you can drive up & drop off your ballot at some locations around the state ) for more years than I can remember. I know of no one in this state wanting to change it back. It is well liked here. Back in the 50's, our house ( the basement ) was a voting location many times. One can always bring in phony ID & vote in someone else's name. And, all Absentee Ballots are subject to your concerns. I do not see much of a problem. Sure, a possibility, but little else. Just my $0.02, Jerry Baumchen

1 pointIts reasonable to say that the US has committed acts of war against Iran three times in the last 66 years. The 1953 CIA coup and the cancellation without cause of the nuclear deal. Together with the impositions of a oil embargo/trade-finance embargo by trump arising from that act. Then the killing of Soleimani, Which was based upon barefaced lies. The US just blocked an Iranian request for $5 billion loan from the IMF to fight C-19. I think Mark has been ingesting too much of the Pompeo/trump kool-aid.

1 pointDaffodils are up in my garden. Cardinals, nuthatches, woodpeckers, goldfinches and chickadees at the bird feeder outside my window. Not so keen on the raccoon living under my deck.

1 pointHow many sovereign nations has Iran invaded since, say, 1945? How many sovereign nations has the USA invaded since, say, 1945?

1 pointIf it's highly suspicious by your own admission and Flight 1 has is, why dont you just have them ship it back?

1 pointI'm impressed, we managed to execute a full switch-and-bait 180 in only three weeks. Americans in March: "We all must stay at home and avoid going outside for any reason or life as we know it will end!" Americans in April "The economy has taken too much of a hit and we all need to get back to work NOW!". I guess it is true that we have always been bad at math. Less than 1 million infected in the USA right now, which means 327 out of 328 randos on the street are still capable of getting infected and dying. I guess that dident come up in those home Zoom meetings.

1 pointMeh, there are all kinds of instances where lawful assembly has been prohibited in your very recent history. In areas struck by natural disasters for instance. Or because your president has decided to be within 100 miles of the area or something. Maybe I am a subject. But I will take my freedoms in Canada over living in the Banana Republic south of the border. Just one little example, our chief health officers in almost every province have turned into celebrated figures. Yours needs increased protection after all the death threats. I am sure he feels very free these days.

1 pointDo you understand the concept of 'emergency circumstances'? And "temporary restrictions"? There have been a LOT of emergency situations over the history of our country. There have been a lot of 'emergency orders' that were put in place. Many (most?) of those orders violated constitutional rights in some way. Many were taken to court. While some were found to be illegal, most (by far) were found to be legal. Even some that were patently wrong (internment of US citizens of Japanese descent during WW2 for example). Right now, most states have emergency orders in place that infringe on the right to 'peaceably assemble'. There have been reports of police enforcing those orders and, local to me, a few tickets have been written. Mostly warnings, but some fools have decided to 'stand up for their rights'. Admirable behavior under normal circumstances, but right now it is stupid and dangerous. Not just to the individual, but to the community as a whole. I have no doubt that some of those who were cited will choose to fight it. I wouldn't bet on them winning.

1 pointAs a sign of how bad Trump is doing, Ann f*cking Coulter just posted that "the only national emergency is that our president is an idiot."
