There was a time when you his was THE place to find out what was going on in the skydiving world. You could find out out everything that was going on: The latest in the boogie scene, immediate info on incidents within minutes of them happening, reports from USPA board meetings in real time. There was a vibe so strong that there were actually Dropzone.com boogies where jumpers who knew each other only online came together and instantly bonded. Plus there were the ongoing shenanigans: the drunk dial list, seeing how quickly you could get banned on any given topic, and the truly bizarre ravings on the DB Cooper threads. It was a unifying force. No longer! Call it the Facebook effect or what have you, but it’s just not what it once was. Time to put it to rest.

Lol... I also hated packing Wings reserves, not because it's annoying, which it is, but because most of that annoyance came from feeling like the entire system was inferior. Maybe if I brought up my concerns to a manufacturer, they would be able to ease my frustrations on why it was fine, but I never did, even though I lived in Z-hills for a total of 6 months. I just continued to bash them, along with the other riggers I know, because we are sometimes fond of doing that. Still, customers who own Wings rigs are happy with them. Side note, I know the chick from the ad ->

To be fair the topic is Trump haters... Deranged and psychotic Trump supporters could be in their own thread.

There's eleven years worth of jokes. Go back and read them again. Surely you can't remember them all!!!

I remember when people were saying the same thing about DZ.com around 2001. "DZ.com will never be anything like rec.skydiving! (freedom, expression, character, immediacy, TooyT etc etc.) We have lost everything that made the online skydiving community good."

The BSR means exactly what it says. ANY AAD fire on a student jump requires a report. If a student, TI, AFFI or even a videographer filming a tandem has an AAD fire, the incident MUST be reported within 48 hours. Any means any. Also, if the incident is self-reported within 48 hours, there can be no disciplinary action because of the report. The BSR was written in plain language that does not require interpretation. The option of clicking on a "reply to" button is gone. Hard to see what the context is much of the time unless it's a quote reply. I understand why it was done that way but I think the option should be "reply to" "quote" or "reply to forum".
