1 pointJust about the whole first page of Announcements is taken up by spam. I'm assuming there are software filters that stop new threads that sound like spam; they might need refining. Wendy P.

1 pointToday is the first day of the year of the pig. I'm sure it'll take a couple of months before I stop writing "dog" on checks by mistake.

1 pointI've been wondering if they've been doing this, and I'm glad someone finally put it into words. Like I said earlier when someone asked why I was debating only between the Pilot 7 and the WinX, it's that I love Squirrel but their wing loading chart said I can't fit into the size I need, and the next size up won't fit into my container. However after looking into other options, I noticed that Squirrel's max-flight weight was WAY below all the others. I think they top out at 231lbs, where almost all other canopies go up to 260lbs at least. Like the Epicene Pro 210 has an "Expert" rating at 231lbs, but has a max-flight weight of also 231lbs? Idk personally the Epicene Pro would have been my first choice because all I need is 10/10 openings (when technique is done properly), and because I like Squirrel and everyone is allowed to like what they like, but it looks like it's not happening with that canopy for me.

1 pointI only did 12 hours, I have signed off IBA level 1,2,3 after 8 hours, while also exploring all level 3 dynamic moves. Good with belly face in carving too:) By 10 hour I could comfortably sitfly carve, comfortable with help of a coach to do back to belly layouts and a bit less so with belly to back layouts. I was okay with back in face carving but at slow speed, getting there with knee flying and outface carving. I also did about 20 mins Head down by then, but I struggled a lot... I still do and I only lifted once for a few seconds with help of a coach and a spotter.... so that will be a long road for me. I found it hard to compare to other flyers, I was eager to learn quick, but other who had more physic did learn certain things quicker. I had to learn to fly (especially sitfly) without using my arms as they are weak... hehe

1 pointI've just passed the 10 hour mark in the tunnel, and I have just started nailing sitfly to head down backflip transitions. Starting on the last Level 4 skills next week (front flip to head down). Checked off on all Level 1, 2, and 3 skills in IBA and I've started flying some Intermediate VFS with a buddy.

1 pointI am a fun flyer - one skill (bak side slide) away from IBA level 2. Problem - My Belly flying wind speed is limited by my ability to arch to get down (only way I know to drop down). When Bak flying I fly at a higher speed but if I transition to belly I go up high and have problem getting down. I like combining both types of flying and appreciate any advise to help me get over this progression hurdle. Video example of my problem - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTz0_cs0Ub8&feature=youtu.be At 12-14 I enter at more than normal belly speed and am pushed up and take a while to get down. At 13-13 coach increases speed to help me bak fly easier At 13-19 I do bak to belly feet under and go up high unintentionally again and take time to get back down. That's the problem I want to solve. Now this video is in the Original iFLY Orlando at it's last overnight camp and I have flown the new Ft Lauderdale tunnel that has a different wind profile where wind speed dramatically increases JMO from what it is down low as u get over about 10 ft up so my problem mentioned herewill be greater there which caused me to come here for help so I don't get lost 30 ft up in a modern tunnel. :) I have been told that if I get stuck up high in tunnel to just roll on my bak to get down (which I understand) but my personal preference would to be to descend while on belly when I choose to. Thanks in advance for any advise.
