  2. Actually, MarS M2 lifetime is only 15 years or 15000 jumps, whichever comes first. Vigil is 20 years.

  4. Cypres is $53/year more considering the difference in lifetimes.
  5. Comparing cypres to Mars, no time value of money blah blah, $200 more initial cost, + $400 total for 2 inspections/15, = $40/year. This gets the owner a warranty for the 15 years if nothing else. yes, the mars lasts 20 years; so the comparison isn’t quite valid.

I don't really care what you do with the book. I'm telling you what is right and wrong...do it in 10 years....makes no difference to me...

Your advice is noted. Book will not be re-issued in a new edition until everything is a wrap. It's not just about the money. I think the money for the party is safe. Just because I made an offer doesn't mean people will jump at the opportunity. In fact, I think the chances are close to zero. We will change the book to a final edition at the proper time. Even if I did what you asked right now, I would just have to do it again in a few months. You've waited nine years. A few more months won't kill you.

more excuses Robert, you claim to want to dump thousands on a party and then whine about a couple hundred.

There are plenty of references in the book like this one, for example: It's not like we didn't do the occasional disclaimer, you know. There are also references stating that we didn't know everything there was to know regarding KC. This is especially true at the time of the release. If I took your advice to keep 'changing' the book to another edition every time something new popped up on KC between December 2010 and this year, it would cost me $150 for each new ISBN assignment, plus an additional $75 for each upload to Lightning Source. Another $50 for a new listing in the Ingram Advance Catalog. That is patently ridiculous. Plus there would be fifty different versions of the book selling at Amazon and Ingram. Could get confusing. I already told you that at the proper time we will issue a final edition. But there no use in doing that yet. As far as 'credibility,' that is not based strictly on a book that came out almost ten years ago. There are the videos, the articles at WordPress, the DB Cooper Info page with the free-to-download report (UNedited), and the entries at Quora Cooper. Readers of the book sometimes send me questions using the email address or web address given in the book. I answer them. Then I sometimes send them the report we sent to the Seattle FBI. For now, this works just fine.

You send the PM's and not me.....I responded to them. I just got tired of the broken record. you skew off topic even offline. the recent one was about the placard and you went off topic as usual. lets get that straight. you are making it out like I contacted you...it's more like you are the one interested in what I have to say or you wouldn't contact me in the first place
  12. Mostly because you don't pay yearly. You pay one time up front and the difference is far more than one jump. As far as owning "the best", I have seen nothing that makes me believe that any are better than the others.

That's no excuse for an author to knowingly allow error's to be in a book for years. this is damage to your credibility. it doesn't matter what you did outside of the book. it's the book with the error's. waiting for a movie is no excuse either. So, I can say you rob banks on my forum and leave it there and post somewhere else you didn't? not everyone follows what happens after a book is published. not every person writes a review either. it's wrong anyway you look at it..you willingly allow false information to continue. You revise the same edition. you don't have to add anything. you fix what's broken or remove it...
  16. RobertMBlevins

    DB Cooper

It would have been pointless to 'fix' the book. The investigation into KC went on for years afterward. I would have had to issue fifty different editions. It's just a primer on the whole story anyway. That's why I released the file publicly, the 54-page report we sent to the Seattle FBI. We actually discovered more about KC and company after the book was released. It served its purpose. It brought certain witnesses out of the woodwork, which was its real job anyway. I do plan on a final edition of the book, but not until the movie is released, assuming they get around to that. If they don't, I will still issue a final edition anyway. But not until then. By the way...I don't have a problem with it, but...you sure ask me a LOT of questions and send a lot of comments my way for someone who doesn't want to hear from me and blocked PM's.

You should of fixed them years ago...self admitted and complain about others?
  20. RobertMBlevins

    DB Cooper

That is a fair question. Yes, the book has errors. Those will not be in any movie, I can assure you. The film is mostly based on the extensive files we gathered on KC, most of which actually came AFTER the release of the book. Book came out in December 2010. Our investigation on KC more or less ended just this year. I turned down one film offer from the same guys who bought the rights to the Geoff Gray book, because they admitted they were going to take extreme poetic license. Turned down $2,500 from History Channel, and another thousand from Comcast Sports Net. (Adrenaline Hunter with Bethy Rossos show) When the current offer came along, I decided to sign because I was allowed some control over the shooting script so people don't go crazy, and because I was allowed to assign up to two people to assist on fact-checking for the script. You know all about that, I'm sure. No one in Cooperland was interested in the job, so it went to someone else. Frankly, the best person for the job. I never did exec producer on a History Channel show that was specifically set up to launch a book pointing at one suspect, and one suspect alone. I can tell you that. I call it dishonest, and I'm not the only one with that opinion. Even many of you over at the Cooper Forum have said the show was a joke. Many comments about it there, back when the show first aired. Hey...I don't blame you. We were actually on the same page, believe it or not. I took it a step further and started talking to someone who was involved with the show, that's all. Parrot says in part: I'm leaving Washington state no later than April 2021 and probably before that. I will know more after Thanksgiving. The only reason I'm still involved with Cooper is because of the movie. Once that is concluded one way or another, I will be more than happy to give up Cooper. With the release of the autobiography, I will have nothing more to really say about it, and will be living too far away to bother with any more Cooper events anyway. Looks like a few Cooper Campouts next year, and then I have to leave. As far as 'finding a better suspect,' the way things have turned out for me..that is really foolish advice on your part. Why would I want to do a thing like that? Things have turned out much better than I ever hoped.

Blevins - C'mon man. We can go back through the history on this site and find many times when it was "Exit Stage Left" and you were done with Cooper. We all know that you ain't leaving the Cooper case. This year, next year, 5 or 10 years down the road, whatever. It won't matter. This is in your blood and you can't simply flip a switch and quit. So, quit lying to us and yourself and just take ownership of your addiction to all things DB Cooper. Embrace it, there's nothing wrong with it. My only advice would be to find a better suspect.
  23. ParrotheadVol

    DB Cooper

No. But I do think that they could look at some suspects and positively say that it wasn't them.

Robert, isn't your movie about your book. one that's full of error's? you have already said you are in this for the money, so how are you any different?
  26. mrshutter45

    DB Cooper

The actual witnesses will have trouble remembering 40 years back. most people with suspects have perfect memory, detailed like yesterday I do believe if a picture of Cooper was shown it would trigger there memory...
  27. RobertMBlevins

    DB Cooper

Perhaps Tina could. Hard to say. I know Flo Schaffner got the crap scared out of her when Geoff Gray laid out pictures of KC for her. Her hands were shaking and she definitely got stressed viewing them. That is not an ID, but it's significant. Shutter says in part: You mean, why would he not tell you the truth? Are you kidding? The entire show was a prequel to a book slated for release the day after the show aired. And that book named Rackstraw as the hijacker. You really believe that Colbert would risk all that by showing Tina pictures of OTHER suspects...knowing she might identify someone ELSE as the hijacker? We already know he presented her with a collage that contained ZERO pictures of any suspects, except for Rackstraw. As far as messages go, I don't care about that a bit. You just didn't like hearing the truth regarding EU is all. Doesn't matter anyway. The WordPress article lays it all out just fine. There is no hatred in it, just the facts.
