Awesome fit, mesh standard, magnetic zipper cover free, tons of free extras!
I wish I ordered one sooner!

Kurupee and Ed are awesome! I am so glad that we were referred to you guys! I was worried when I read some of the old reviews, but for Kurupee today, these guys are spot on! I order 2 suits rush delivery and they arrived exactly 2 weeks from my order date, even though they shipped from South America! Not only that, they fit like a glove! Thanks to Ian for the referral! And a huge 5* shout out to Ed and Kurupee!

Affordable, stylish
Phone number on website didn't work?

I've put around 100 jumps and 2ish hours of tunnel time on my Kurupee freefly suit. It has held up very well and looks great. I've received lots of compliments on how it looks.

I ordered it in early 2015 and received it on time. I was curious if I would receive it on time for a boogie I was going to, so I tried to call the phone number listed on the website but it was incorrect. Not sure if they've fixed that since then. But I emailed, and got a helpful reply the next day. This suit is perfect for someone like me, learning to freefly and getting some tunnel time here and there.

Lots of custom options which are included in the base price. Excellent customer service!!!
None!

I have a few friends who own Kurupee suits, both one piece freefly and two piece, who love them and recommended I try them out. I have to admit, I felt like I was making a little bit of a gamble based on prior reviews about customer service. Boy was I about to be proven wrong!

I ordered a one piece freefly suit. I opted for mini-grippers on the arms and legs, double material in the lower arms and legs to slow me down a bit, and cordura butt and knees. The mesh lining as standard is awesome. Asked for name embroidery on the collar and an all black suit but but requested they use red thread for all the stitching for an understated look. Also opted for rush service so I could have it in time for the Skydive Sebastian Invasion in Florida starting 12/26. My order date was 11/13/12.

About twelve days after ordering I emailed and asked about the progress of my suit. I received a reply within the hour stating that my suit was shipping the next day and would receive a tracking number, which I did the following day. I received the suit THREE days later from SOUTH AMERICA. Holy geezus that's fast!

Suit looked perfect, exactly what I thought it would be like. I immediately tried it on for fit and...oh no! The sleeves were about 4 inches too short! Everything else fit as it should, based on the Medium fit I ordered (they come in a tight, medium and baggy or loose fit). It's worth noting my friend who is a professional costume designer for film measured me three times and then averaged them as my final measurements to be sent.

I immediately emailed Ed and even sent some photos of the fit. He assured me he would fix the problem. I thought that might mean sending the suit back to Paraguay and them altering it for me. Nope! Instead he insisted they make an entirely new one and even offered to ship it to Skydive Sebastian so it would be waiting there for me after I drove down from NYC. Instead I asked for it to be sent to a relative nearby. One week later I get a call from my aunt saying it had arrived.

So they made a mistake, responded immediately to my correspondence about it, offered to make an entire new suit and expedite it's creation and then ship it practically overnight to Florida. If there is another company that makes custom goods out there, let alone jumpsuits for skydiver's, with this kind of customer service, please let me know. This is way above and beyond anything I could have possibly expected.

In the end, from initial order on 11/13/12 to delivery of my SECOND jumpsuit on 12/19/12, I would say I was completely blown away with Kurupee.

By the way, my 2nd suit was absolutely perfect and I had tons of people asking me who made it, whether it was during the invasion at Sebastian, or during travels afterward at Z-Hills and Skydive Deland. All I did was point to the logo on my leg pocket! :)

Kurupee can expect to see me as a return customer very soon as I plan to buy a two piece free fly suit later this year to have more options during the warm summer months.

Kurupee and Eduardo (Ed) F**CKIN' ROCK!!! Quality of construction, price, customization and customer service are absolutely top notch. They must have listened to people's reviews and boy did they step up their game!

P.S. Anyone who wants to see photos of their workmanship, please feel free to get in touch with me...

Customer service, quality, communication
none

In doing research for my first jumpsuit since my A license, I really wanted a suit that stood out from all the other ones I've seen. A cool, customizable design was high on my list.

After looking at the specs of many other popular manufacturers I ran across the many designs that Kurupee had to offer. The prices were within my range so I started reading reviews about the company and their work.

The first reviews I started reading were horrible! Keep in mind this was back in 2004. As I kept reading, the reviews got progressively better and customers were extremely happy with their purchase. I made my final decision and went ahead with designing my suit (design, colors, sizes, etc) online. Of course I wanted my jumpsuit as soon as possible and they said they could have it done in 2 weeks. I paid the extra for a rush order and said I would like to have it by December 26th, 2012 (exactly 2 weeks from my order). I honestly didn't expect that to happen with the holidays and such but one could hope right?

Of course I got the standard "your order has been received" email right away. The very next day I get an email from Ed at Kurupee Suits saying "Thanks for your order. We will make sure it is there by the 26th." Right on!

2 weeks later...today.... I check the website and it says my order in still processing. :( Darn! I was hoping it had shipped already at least! I emailed Ed back directly and asked him about a status on the order. Within 15 minutes I got an email back saying that it should have already been delivered and he gave me the tracking number. Re-he-heally?!?! I looked up my tracking number on fedex.com and sure enough they tried to deliver the package to my office on Christmas eve (which of course we were not open). I called FedEx, got the location of where my package was and ran right over to pick it up.

I immediately pulled it out of the box to take a look at my creation and boy was I impressed! The colors, the stitching, my name on the back collar....it looked amazing! Now to get back and try it on.

It fits like a glove! The elastic wristbands are snug and they are certainly going to keep the cold out of my suit, the design looks just like I imagined.... I've actually been wearing it all day to "break it in"....yea lets call it that.

Not only did Kurupee deliver a fantastic looking product, they did it in 2 weeks and had great communication to make me feel comfortable about my purchase. Kudos to Ed C. for everything! I cant wait to jump it!

Customer service responded within a day, fast delivery if you chose to early option
....nothing yet

I ordered my suit online on 31 aug. did all the measuring myself and with a help from a friend. it was easy to figure out what to measure with the picture diagram and instructions. Lots of different stock styles to chose from, and you can customize the colors right there and see it! I opted to pay the extra for the 2 week delivery because I really wanted to start jumping in it. After about 11 days, I emailed [email protected] to check the status. On the same day I got a reply telling me it was shipped and on its way, and even gave me the tracking number with FedEx. Finally on 13 Sep it was delivered to my door. The suit fit perfectly with shorts and tshirt on, the way I measured. fits nice and snug but flexible enough to move and bend. So comfortable that I don't want to take it off! I recommend Kurupee to anyone wanting a new suit. I know the reviews below say the customer service was bad but that was years ago and its good to go now. I had no issues, couple other friends ordered through them and had no issues either. AND I got a free Kurupee tshirt! Right ON!!!

custom sizing, good closures at the cuffs & neck
customer service

As the reviews below suggest, customer service isn't the best. I called probably 10 times and got "this number is not in service" until finally I got an answering machine. a few calls later and someone finally answered, and he was able to tell me that my suit would be done that week and would ship the following week... and he was right. So it took 2-3 weeks longer than they claimed, but I did get my suit, and it looks to be very high quality. I'll be jumping it this weekend.

Great suit when it finally arrives
Non-existant customer service

I thought I would get a freefly suit from Kurupee because they offered decent prices on basic suits. (I'm an entry level freeflyer and wasn't looking to break the bank.) Ordering the suit was easy enough, though I was somewhat disappointed by their limited fabric color selection.

I figured I'd check up on the process after the suggested 4 week wait time. Like many other people, I had no luck actually contacting anyone associated with Kurupee. I tried their website tracking program: didn't work. Tried their website email: didn't work. Tried the USA contact phone number provided: didn't work. I finally got in touch with someone at the payment processing site and within 48 hours I was told the suit was being shipped.

It took about a week from that point for my suit to arrive (not quite 6 weeks from order placement), and I have no complaints about the construction or fit. However, even if there were monumental improvements in customer service, I would hesitate to buy from Kurupee again.

Where is my suit????

WTF?? It looks like we are all having the same issues! Can someone please send me a GOOD contact number for this company?

Here's an idea: Hire a teenage kid to answer your phones. People would at least know you are still in business.

A confirmation of some sort, just to let me know that you got my order. Such as:

Hello, thank you for ordering from Kurupee! Your order has been processed and we will begin working on your suit right away. Although our average production time is 3 weeks, it may be up to 8 weeks before your suit is delivered.

Something to that effect would be nice.

Everything

I ordered my suit awhile ago and it's way past deadline. I've called several times and half the time I get the answering machine and the other half I get a message saying the "the number you are calling is unavalible" I did get ahold of someone once and he said my suit would be finished July 27th and I still havent seen anything in the mail. I've been charged for the suit but nothing yet. Someone needs to teach this company how to do business. I'd recomend going else where to buy a suit.

Very well made
Little lazy on not swapping out bobbin thread

I love my suit. Looks great and exactly what I wanted. The only thing I saw that I would have done to make it better was to switch out bobbin thread so you don't see the opposite color on popping through the outside from time to time. The thread colors should always match. MAN I AM PICKY

No conformation of my order

My buddy and I ordered Kurupee suites 6 weeks ago, and still no suites! We can't get ahold of them either! No e-mail response and no returned calls. Their on-line tracking doesn't work either. Is there anyone out there that can help? Update: I got a call from Kurupee and they had some computer problems so they couldn't reply to e-mails. My suite is on the way and my buddy got his last week. It is very well made, has nice cuffs and a great comfy collar. They are not out of business and make a fine suite.

No suit received

I ordered the suit 4 weeks ago and have not heard back from the company. I have sent several emails and called several times with no response. I recently canceled the order and believe that the company may no longer be in business. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Looks nice on the website
Customer Service is terrible. Does this place even exist anymore or did I just send $200 into cyber oblivion?

I would like to say that I love my suit but I can't because I still haven't gotten it & can't get ahold of anyone to find out where it is or when it will be done. I ordered it 10 weeks ago now & was promised a 6 week deadline. There phone number is out of order that's on their website & they don't answer their emails. Paid through paypal & I'm not sure how I can dispute it since they say that you can only dispute something that's 45 days from payment day (obviously this has passed). It would seem that I'm out $200 right now. I'm at a loss really & hope someone out there can help. Does anyone have another contact # besides what's on the website? If so can you PM me please?

Revision - found an Email address to write to through pay pal. Got in touch w/Ed & he's been very helpful since. I did receive my suit. Although a little short in the torso for my liking it is a very nice looking suit & looks to be made well. Ed has volunteered to rectify the problem of it being too short as well at no cost to myself.

Fast delivery, correct size
Web site didn't work. Had to do it by direct mail.

I have had a bunch of different suits and pants. Most of them work fine with me but I was looking for something faster (not just not baggy but with thinner fabric) and not very warm, cause I jump in warm places most of the time. The suit from Kurupee is just what I needed and Eduardo was extremely nice and helpful for me.

I've had my Calavera suit now for well over a year, done all of my jumps this past summer with it. Washed it quite a bit and the black color hasn't faded one bit. None of the stiching/Zipper issues have been hapening with mine. Most jumpers at my dz are impressed with it's quality, and I get tons of looks and comments from wuffos on the calavera design. There's another jumper from my DZ who got a Kurupee suit after seeing mine and he's super pleased with his too. The price was right and there is sooo much stuff on it that was included in the price that other companies charge extra for. I would highly recommend them for a suit, and my next suit will be a Kurupee suit for sure.

good for making dusters
everything

After waiting over twice as long as promised I finally get my order today. It is ridiculously small, I'm annoyed as I was asked TWICE to confirm my measurements - and after the long wait.
Customer service is terrible, emails are not responded to, phone messages never returned, they don't respond to the website messages.
I wish I could think of something good to say. You really are gambling when you place an order here, I wont be using them again and certainly wont be recommending them.
EDIT - Since writing this review Kurupee have been in contact with myself and offered to replace the order free of charge AND said they will make the order their first priority. Needless to say I am very happy, their email was very polite and apologetic so it's probable I might change this review after receiving the order.

Everything
Nothing

Got my new Calavera suit today - the one with the skeleton bones, and it fits amazingly. Ed is sometimes hard to get a hold of, but he did a LOT of custom things for me without charging me an extra. On top of all of that he gave me free shipping! I paid 249 for the suit and 40 for a rush order which got here in just about 2 weeks from the time I placed my order - freaking amazing. The suit fits and feels great. I love the velcro ankles!!! The high collar with the snap off to the side looks bad ass. I can't wait to get out and jump it this weekend! Kudos to Kurupee, who makes awesome suits at a relatively cheap price!!

Looks great, flies great, very comfortable, fit is dead on. AFFORDABLE! Exactly what I ordered
None!!!

I love my Kurupee Suit. It looks great. The fit is second to none. Like a glove!! The colors are awesome. I get complimented on it all the time. This is a really excellent suit.

I have seen a couple of bad reviews about poor quality. All the issues with bad stitching, bad zippers, and poor quality materials have definately been resolved. I am very happy with the quality of this suit!

Durable, comfortable, looks awesome
None

I've had my Kurupee since August now and I absolutely love it. I have it with the snap fastener, v-shaped neck and it rocks.
Has very safe velcro pockets on legs and one inside in the chest area, perfect for an iPod, wallet or cellphone.
Fits great, looks great, and most importantly, flies great!

Good Trial Freefly Suit
Not very good workmanship

After 25 jumps of a crapy DZ suit I new I was ready for something new. The only question was whom to purchase a freefly suit from. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a suit I wast not going to be happy with. With the Kurupee suit I was able to see likes and dislikes of the jump suit. I did have issues with the workmanship and the zipper but for the price you pay, it is not a bad deal. I have had the suit for over a year and I am satisfied with it. I would recommend it for beginners and anyone not wanting to fork out $300 dollars for a suit. When I am ready for a new suit I will know exactly what I want.

D.I.Y design, fast shipping, price, material.
sort of wierd neckline thing.

Got my first FF suit today, it shipped an entire week early! The material is excellent, a thick cotton, but not too thick. The cut is great and all the measurements are bang on. The 'normal' fit of Kurupee is a lot baggier than say, Matter suits, but I like the flapping noise! Strong, double bind cuffs on wrists and ankles take a bit of getting used to, they're not the quickest get in and out method but they are secure.
If you'd like more info, or want to see a pic get in touch, I'd happily reccommend Kurupee suits to anyone.
Happy falling!

i ordered my first ff suit from kurupee and everything was perfect. it shipped a few days earlier than promised and i was kept up to date on production and shipping in a very professional manner. my second suit a month or so later was a bit more complicated with several special requests including a zero p lining in the arms and the legs. not only was the second suit just as perfect as the first one but i wasn't charged anything extra for the lining or my special need for deep cut arms.
i am ordering another suit for my girlfriend today and i will be ordering a pair of ff pants soon. thanks eddie for sending a great product.

Reasonable price, fast shipping, exact order
doesn't work to track order through website

I have to say I couldn't be happier with the suit and the way everything went time wise. I measured myself for the suit and went very basic with design. After I ordered the suit online I realized I had a measurement wrong and called and left a message for them to get back to me, within that day they called me back to verify and said I would have the suit in 3wks, which I did. I did have trouble contacting them through the website so I wouldn't go that route. I've gotten half a dozen comments in one day on how much people liked the suit, the color, the way it fit, etc. Great stitching and reinforcement where you need it in the seams. So far, so good. Such a great price, you really can't do better.
