customer service, fast, quality
none

After having problem with different company and 3 months of waiting with no results I’ve turn to Merlin suits. Two weeks later my suit arrived. And this was before holidays. After reading some of the complaints of having suit too loose (they do ask you to pick fast, medium or slow fall rate) I asked for the suit to be on tighter side since no spandex or neoprene is used. It came little too tight around my legs but nothing major. I was told to send it back for quick adjustment. No arguments of “You measured yourself and it’s your fault” you sometime hear from others. Ulla from Merlin Company answered all my questions and was very helpful throughout the entire process.

Quality is awesome, service was fast and customer service that will make me come back when it’s time for another suit.

Suite looks good
Everything else

My boyfriend and I bought suites for each other for Christmas and went to the shop to get measured personally. Two weeks later our suites were finished. My boyfriends fit ok but was baggier than he ordered. Mine was so small, I was unable to even zip it up because it was about 4 inches too small. Because the suite was mailed to me, we had to contact her to meet up with her. At this time she told me that I had gained weight and it was my fault that my suite did not fit (odd, my suite from 4 years ago still fits great, and how many people gain that much weight in two weeks?!) and that there was no way she measured me wrong.

When we got to the factory she told me she would let out some fabric which pretty much meant she would take the elastic out from the lower back. When she finished I was able to zip the suite up if I pulled it up. I decided to just try to jump it to see how it would feel. It was awful. Because I had to pull the suite up to zip it, it was just a huge wedgie. When I tried to recontact her to fix it she refused and told me I was able to zip it up when I picked it up last. Then she told me she would make me another one for $80. Are you kidding?! I already paid $300 for a suite that was totally wrong!! She also refused to give me a refund for a suite I clearly cannot wear. My suite was also VERY baggy. I am a size 2 and asked for the suite to be snug to help my fall rate. The two times I have jumped it, not only was it uncomfortable, it was very difficult to fall with others

Needless to say I am very unsatisfied and I will NEVER do business with this company again.

Colors were good
Suit was made wrong and they wouldn't fix it!

I ordered a Merlin suit and payed $300 for what I thought would be custom made suit. That's why they have you take measurements right? The suit was nearly 3 inches to big all around the top of the torso, in the chest area and the upper back. The length was also wrong by about 2 inches in the torso!! I checked and double checked all my measurements, and had my manager at our drop zone (who has over 16000 jumps, many years in the sport and lots of experience ordering suits for people) check my measurements as well. The measurements were right. We took pictures of the suit on me and sent it to Merlin. They told me "we can't guarantee the suit fits unless we take the measurements." A custom suit company not guaranteeing custom suits, and not altering them if they are incorrect is crazy when you pay $300 for a new suit. I ended up paying almost another $100 to get the suit altered in many places so that it would fit correctly. I was very unhappy with the service and will never buy anything from them again, and do not reccommend Merlin suits.

slim cut nice on transitions awesome quality
tight in bottom

I loved my merlin suit so much that I just ordered a second one...got a little whacky with the design and they only upped the price 80 bux! love this company

Thanks to Leland sticking in his order at the same time, I got my Merlin in 4 weeks!

I love the quality but I felt it was tight in my bum...I asked for the slimmer cut and got it and was like woah...thats slim cut...so as a result I have to work for my slower speeds, but at the same time the transitions get zero float :)

Cheers Merlin

Quality
Speed.

I've now got two Merlin suits, a freefly one and I just received my camera suit.

The quality of construction is excellent, with all seams double or tripple stiched, and a quality lining. Both suits fly well.

I would rate Merlin a solid '5', except I've found delivery time is exceptionally slow. The camera suit I just received took nearly 12 weeks to ship. It was a very long wait.

Merlin used to be cheaper then its compeditors, however this is no longer the case. Unless I get assurances of a reasonable guaranteed delivery date, I would consider alternatives.

Nice Price, great tye-dye work
No snaps to close jumpsuit top, fast cut

The Merlin suits I've jumped are cut a bit thin so they fall fast compared to other jump suits so you have to keep hitting the brakes, but its a nice suit with some top of the line tye-dyeing.
