Fantastic peripheral vision
Hard to open with thick gloves

Had my helmet 6 years with about 700 jumps and it is still going strong. I think that I have another season left before I will think about another helmet or rebuilding the liner in this one. I would definitely buy another Oxygn.

Color
Skysystems Service

After telling Skysymstems about a problem with the lens, opening during freefall they told me to sent it back and they should sent a new one. They did it, but now there is a problem with the delivery nobody's home. I have to take all the actions while they are ignoring my mails.

Almost 5 months further and i still don't have the helmet.

Robust, good vision
none

I see that I have had my OXYGN for 9 years and 1500 jumps now, in which time I have replaced the hinges once. Contrary to a previous reviewer's comments, I have not found any design flaw in the hinges (or any other part). The peripheral vision is excellent.

Stay warm in Winter, Cool in summer
Can't talk easily in it

I don't know why there are such bad reviews on this helmet. I got one used for a great deal and have never had problems with it. A friend of mine has been flying this helmet for years and he recommended it to me. I love how easy it is to latch down. The prior reviews about the plastis coming off could be due to improper install of the face shield, they are very specific on sky systems web site, they even say that problems will arise if not done properly.

lightweight
poor design

This is the 21st Century. Seriously, it feels like it is broken every time you open and close it. What's the point anyway. The lens only opens 3" to begin with...why not just take off the helmet. The helmet is made with "Carbon Fire", but the ratchets are made of plastic. These should have been identified quite early in the design phase as something that would wear out. Plastic? Whatever, you got me. I am just trying to help the next guy.

helmet built well
visor needs alot of work

I bought a brand new Oxygn. When it finally showed up it was huge on my head, I made a jump and spent the whole time holding it on because it felt like it was going to come off. I called the company, they said I could purchase a kit to make it fit my head (even though I went off their sizing chart). I had already spent more than enough money. I asked about the visor not opening and closing as it claimed it would and they just said that's how it is. I could never get the velcro tight enough to feel comfortable in freefall so I sold it. The helmet has good construction but If I buy from them again I would just by a fixed lense helmet because their flip ups don't work very well.
