Great Fit, Sky Dial, Light Weight, Price
Audible Mount

I love the fit of this helmet and how comfortable it is. It covers my head perfect and when you crank on the sky dial you don't hear any outside noise. I didn't realize how quiet it was until I jumped a different helmet. The only thing I don't like is the audible being on the outside but with the correct bracket and band it is safe from damage and shouldn't fall off. If you have a peanut head like me, you will love this thing

looks cool and thats it
hard to fit in, skydial breaks too easy and i cant hear the audibles

after about 100 jumps my skydial broke. not to mention that you can barely hear the audibles due to the external mounting. to top it off the helmet cracks from taking it on and off. i would recomend you buy a different helmet if you are looking for an Nvertigo.

Great comfort, nice padding,
external audible, sky dial

This is a great helmet. I've jumped quite a few demo helmets before settling on this one. Very good comfort (although ymmv - everyone's head is different). I think I would continue jumping this helmet if only there were internal audible pockets and not the external ones. But a really good helmet overall.

Oh yeah, the skydial is a POS, but the helmet still functions fine without it.

long story short..
i had a horrible landing. caught some thermals, a bit crosswind, didnt finish the flare. In any case i came in for a very fast, very hard PLF to the left side. I didnt do a very decent PLF and it ended up with my knees/legs slamming in then the rest of me. It seemed like slow motion, the left side of my head hit the ground very hard. It felt like my neck was jello, and my head was just off on its own mission. i gathered myself together and sat up. took the helmet off. not a bit of damage done to it! I was just thinking how some people dont wear helmets. So glad that i do. my neck is pretty sore as is the rest of me. But i was able to walk away. I gotta thank my nvertigo for that one.
wear a helmet! make sure it's a good one too!
BTW: my protrack suffered no damage. The helmet didnt scratch at all either. I can always hear my audible (its mounted outside the helmet). I like the fact that i can tighten it.
basically, the helmet rocks. im very happy with it.

I have had a Nvertigo now for about 4 - 5 months and have attached a camera and chin cup. I have only one complaint, which seems to be the general complaint of fit. I will admit I have a large size head, so when putting on the helmet I have to bend it wide to get it in there. Other than the fit, it is a great helmet.

I have had a Nvertgo for about a year now. I bought the helmet and it was too big, neither Square 1 or Sky Systems would replace it for a smaller size so I was stuck with it. The Skydial broke after 20 jumps, and I get a lot of air coming in when I go flat and track. I have recently bought a camera, and I just purchased a Bonehead with a D-Box for it, that is what I should have done in the first place.

I have had Nvertigo helmet. I bought it because it looked cool on photo but now I think it's very bad helmet.Helmet uncomfortable and was made roughly. Button in tightening system has broken after about 100 jumps. I don't think that Nvertigo good choice for skydiving. My friends who had Nvertigo think so.

I bought my NVERTIGO in August '99. After only 10 or so jumps I noticed a stress fracture in the bottom rear of the helmet. The crack is slowly growing and the helmet will probably split in half in another month or so. I'm going to contact SkiSystems this week to see if I can get it replaced. I haven't had any impacts with the ground and my head, It probably started to fail because I need to pull the sides out to get it over my fat head.

I purchased my Invertigo at the start of summer 1999 and was very pleased with it. The fit was excelent, the finish was excelent and it looked a very nice bit of kit. After jumping it since then I have only one complaint. The outboard alti mount is a really cack idea, it may look cool showing off your dual Time out or ditter, but you can't hear them in freefall, there is far too much wind noise, I have tried all sorts of gasket material to try and eliminate the wind noise, but can't get close to the inboard volume. Also they are in a prime position to get damaged by knocking them on the aircraft or a knock during freefall. I will be making mods to move them inboard. Other than that it is a really great crash hat. Its a pity after all the research they picked such a unsuitable place for audio alti's.

I have had my NVERTIGO helmet for a while now. I have not had any problems with it, it fits great, and it has helped in one instance. I was free flying with a friend and he grabbed on to me and we both corked, and ran into eachother, neither of us got hurt or nocked out. Thanks.

I've been jumping my NVertigo for a year now and I really love it. Although the outside Dytter pockets seem cool, I've missed some tones on a couple of dives. That's with 2 ProDytters too. The helmet fit is great and it looks really cool. All in all a really great helmet (although I don't wear a camera and could see the difficulty in mounting one).

Comfort is a great factor when it comes to the NVERTIGO helmet. It not only looks good, it feels great! Although the Sky Dial allows the fit of the helmet to be tightened for a perfect fit, it creates a problem when installing a camera mount. Sky Dial components affect the shape of the helmet, giving it several small ridges (kind of like speed bumps on the helmet) making drilling and mounting even more difficult. (you have to avoid drilling near the ridges)

Safety Issue - The dual audible altimeter mounts are on the outside of the helmet. I have had times when I did not hear two TIME-OUTS beeping at 4500. :-[ Interior audible mounting needs to be considered. If you plan on flying camera carefully consider all of your helmet and mount options. Later I added a Sidewinder Sport mount to my NVERTIGO. Read the review :-| The NVERTIGO is generally a comfortable helmet which looks cool.

This is a wonderful helmet. It fits great, and looks really cool. Definately get the Platinum (carbon fiber) version. I ordered the white at first and was disgusted :) I love my carbon fiber version of this helmet though!!!
