Without doubt the best value for your money at the moment
Some rigs are more perfect than Wings. Not by much, but they are

First off, I don't own a Wings. But I've put some 100-odd jumps on one and felt I could share my impressions.

Comfort-wise, I can't say much because the harness was fitted for a much smaller person. This meant it was tight, but it never really obstructed my movement in freefall. I also put three jumps on another system made for a jumper who's about my size, and that one felt quite comfortable. (Not as much as a Javelin or a Voodoo, but it was close)
The thing that bothered me the most on the rig I jumped (the smaller one) was the reserve handle which was coming unlodged all the time (always during packing and often when getting up from the seat). I'm guessing the really short MLW played a part in this, but it was still something that simply shouldn't be happening.

Less bothersome was the downward-tucking tab of the reserve pin cover which would untuck on most every jump. It was obviously too short, although the side tabs held the reserve cover closed without a problem. A few uneven stitches and slightly bunched-up fabric at the bottom of the reserve tray prove that while this rig might get you the best value/price ratio, in the end, you still get what you pay for.

Based on my experience, I would have given Wings three and a half stars, but since this option is not available I gave it four (well, it would have been 3.75, really;) The rig that I jumped was manufactured sometime in 2002, and if I understand correctly, they keep improving the design. Unless you think the look of the rig is average or dislike pop-tops, even partially covered, I'd say you can't go wrong with a Wings.

Excellent customer service, Patrick is a great guy and always answers questions. Got my rig in such a fast time that I could jump it right before season closing. The fit is on point and super comfortable. What i really like is the design of the bridle protection and boc.

Comfortable, great service
None

I bought mine used. It needed new risers. The factory was communicative, helpful, and quick. They also helped me with canopy size selection.

The rig is the most comfortable I have used. It was one of the few times I didn't think about comfort during my time under canopy. I've had plenty of times when I couldn't wait to land to relieve the pain the rig was inflicting on me. I have no idea what the design differences are. I haven't placed this rig beside another to analyze it. I'm sure the designers have.

It packs just like any other rig. All flaps are stiff and manageable like they should be. I really don't understand why someone would pay so much more for a different container when this one is so good and reasonably priced.

price, comfort, build quality, customer service
none so far

I don't have experience with a ton of different rigs but after speaking with a lot of people at several dz's, all had nothing but high praise for wings rigs. When I received my wings system and tried it on it fit like a glove. It's extremely comfortable in free fall and it packs well. After a while I had problems with my right riser cover opening in free fall which concerned me a great deal. I sent it back to wings for repair. Wings upgraded my rig and as of this date, I am the second person with magnetic riser covers. Not only does it work and look awesome but they did this free of charge; now that is customer service. I know who I'm buying my next rig from. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent Freefly rig, fits great,
none

My girlfriend got her custom Wings rig 2 years ago. It is a fantastic rig.

It packs good and tight which is a good thing for free flying. I see top name brands with flaps popping open while sit flying, never seen that happen on her rig.

It is the cool underdog with excellent client approach .

Highly recommended.

Fits the way it's supposed to
None

Well, I have to say that it was a stock model that worked best for me, this only after taking all measurements. Have 50 ish jumps on the container and I have to say, it fits, it works with out flaws and being semi local doesn't hurt.

I use a Pulse 210 and can downsize to a 190 with this particular configuration. While my reserve is a PD Reserve 176.

All and all you get what you pay for. With Wings you get what you pay for and so much more!

Quality, costumer service, price
I'll let you know if I fond one

I these guys really deliver!

I was travelling to US, and took the opportunity to get a custom rig. I chose Wings mainly because of the reviews here on DZ. Have to say I’m not disappointed.

The costumer service isn't less than perfect. You are walked through the whole process, with professionalism, rigour and on time. Who else delivers a full customized rig on less than 7 weeks?

The rig looks and feels great, very good overall quality. Fits perfect.

They even went out of their way, inspecting the canopies I had delivered for assembly, and argued with the manufacturer for replacement, truly a 5 stars service.

I have some jumps on it now and couldn’t be happier. With these guys you do get more than you pay for.

Customer oriented, comfortable, durable, Argus compatible
None

I recently purchased my second wings container new from Sunrise. I was having issues with the main (Paratec Rage) packing larger than it was supposed to and not fitting the container well. Rick took care of everything. Sent it back, investigated, and getting it worked out promptly. Best customer service I have experienced in any business, hands down. No long wait, No hassle, No issues. Rick and the team at Sunrise have my highest recommendation. I've put ~500 jumps on my first rig and its still in great condition without any issues. It's great being the owner of two Argus AADs that they are compatible with this rig also. This container is a great fit for me and I'll be jumping a Wings for a long, long time.

Great fit, good construction, comfortable under canopy, best deal you'll find
Minor annoyance with reserve/rider covers

About to get my B and I decided on shelling out for a used system. I've had the opportunity to jump an infinity, javelin, and a wings. By far the most comfortable, and best looking was the wings. One thing I was looking for specifically was a pin cover that slid up into the rig instead of a flap with a tuck tab (even if it gets worn it will still keep your pin covered). With my rig, the cover has a slight arch to it keeping the pin from being jostled even when leaning against the plane, shifting about, and people bumping it. The stitching is still perfect (this rig is from 1999). The descision to move the riser covers down a bit so the bend between shoulder straps and container didn't rest on the tabs is a great idea, my tabs are still pristine.

Customer service was absolutely professional on every level and incredibly helpful with all of my noob questions. I'm not sure what these other reviewers are doing wrong, but pay them no heed, Rick answered all of my incessant questioning down to the most minute detail in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

My only complaint, and it is small at that, is that if your rigger packs your reserve in such a way that the two "prongs" of the freebag aren't tight, that leaves room for your riser covers to expose a tiny part of your risers where they sit on top of the reserve risers going down toward the main tray. Almost purely aesthetic and I doubt it affects performance, but it is a little more obnoxious to pack. Regardless, if you're looking for quality, price, customer service, and a damn good rig, buy yourself a wings.

comfort, fit, look, safety features, versitile.... ect ect
ummm.... nothing.

I've put almost 30 jumps on my Wings that wasn't even custom built for me and I often find myself double checking to make sure I'm still wearing it after I exit. Its that comfortable even though it's not even broke in yet. This is my third container and I've jumped others but my wings stands out. Compared to the cost of other rigs I got mine at a nice price as well. I think my next container will be a custom built Wings.

Awesome gear

Having been around the sport since I was I young boy (yeah I was a dz kid) I've seen a lot of rigs, and by far the wings rig is one of the best put together rigs I've had the privilege of jumping.

Comfortable, Great Price
None

I finally got to jump my customer ordered wings rig & it fits like a glove! I have the articulated harness, this is a must have, it makes the sitting position so comfortable! If I could change one thing, I would take advantage of the option they offer to move the closing loop to the bottom flap (you have to keep it pinned out the way when putting in the D-bag with the stock construction). But all-in-all, it fits great, looks great, & works perfectly! THANKS SUNRISE!

customer service, great fit
none

Bought my first new rig a couple of years ago. I went with Wings because of the instructor deal offered and there were quite a few of the rigs at my DZ and everyone had good things to say about the gear. When I received the gear in the mail, i tried it on and the MLW was too short. I couldn't stand up straight in the thing. I wrote Sunrise and explained the problem and they told me to send it back right away. I did, didn't cost me a thing. Got the new rig back, had a res installed and guess what,,, the mlw was too long. the rig sat really low on my back, huge gap between my shoulders and the rig under canopy. Anyway, i figured i screwed up by not having the res installed before i sent it back the first time. I didn't contact Sunrise again about it until about a year later when i was ready to get rid of the rig since the fit sucked so bad. So I wrote to Sunrise again and explained my situation to them. Reply,, send it back to us.. So i did, the new (third) rig sent to me fits perfectly. I didn't get charged for anything (shipping, new res repack, they thought the main risers were a little frayed so they gave me new ones, and a t-shirt!)
Every email I received from the company was very courtious and professional. Same for every telephone conversation I had with them.
They treated even a pain in the ass customer like me very well and I have nothing bad to say about this company.
Five stars.

Decent gear
Piss poor customer service

The product is fine but try getting a replacement part or courteous help from their office staff and you'll see what the company is really of. I had one woman actually hang up on me after SHE made an error. Unbelievable.

good looking, comfortable to wear, comparable pricing, great customer service
none

I bought a used wings container as my first rig off student status and the comfort factor is outstanding. Granted many containers have the same options and very little differences can be found this still stands out of the crowd when sitting by other rigs. The customer service was outstanding when I needed some adjustments to be made. Now if I am sitting for a load, sitting on a load, or under canopy this rig is comfort front start to finish. I would recomend this to any and all.

Great job Wings

Great customer service
Too soon to know

I needed some information about a used container. Wings was more than helpful. They stand behind their products - even if you are the third owner.
They were eager to work with me to compare my measurements to the original measurements of the rig. Responses were returned within minutes of my e-mailing them.
A great company to deal with no matter if you are buying a new or used container.
I'll post again once I jump the rig.

Craftsmanship and Customer Service!!!
None

What can I say, the rig design and construction is totally SOLID and super comfy. The rig has excellent pin protection and the hip rings make for a superbly comfortable rig.

I bought mine used (3 Years old) and I had a minor concern with a part of the rig and I decided to drop by the factory when I was in Z-Hills and they offered to "fix" it, repack it, and ship it to me without any questions or charges. I was absolutely blown away! I had heard about how good they were to do business with, but now I know that "Sunrise is the PD of Container Manufacturers."

When I buy new...I'm buying WINGS!!

Great rig good price
The reserve flap keep poping open

I won a 50% off a wings container a few years ago, sent an email to Wings about a price for a new wings rig. About two to three weeks later they sent we an email to say my new container was ready to be picked up, much to my surprise. But it is the best rig I have every owned, and I have owned alot of rigs.
The only thing that I can say is the flap that covers the reserver pin keeps popping out in free fall.

Fitting, price, reliable
None

Got my first Wings rig one year ago after talking to a good friend that had +5000 jumps under his belt. He recommended the Wings and I decided to buy one.
The most comfortable rig I have ever wore, a little "stiff" at the first 50 jumps but it came around and shaped perfectly after my body.
The whole construction just screams QUALITY, SAFETY and FUN

I'm going to recommend everbody I know to buy one !!!!

Price, customer service, comfort
none

One would think the low price of a Wings system would indicate an inferior product but this is not the case. The fit is perfect and for those of us who are thin the cut in laterals make the rig hug your body. The quilted backpad and articulated harness are extremely comfortable. I've gone over my container with a fine tooth comb and found absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Customer service is top notch, even during their busy season Ankie takes the time to answer even the smallest of requests, and does so very promptly!
Would I recommend a Wings container to someone who was looking for a new one? Hell yes, and when I'm ready for another container there's no question... It'll be a Wings.

comfort,price,looks,durability etc etc etc
None

After demo-ing most containers on the market i decided to go for a wings.
The customer service i received was outstanding from returning e-mails to sending swatches for colour samples. My container was also ready before the due date i was given.
I have now done 120 jumps with the container in the last 2 months and it is great. It fit likes a glove and is so comfortable.........It still looks brand new and is in perfect condition.
I am already thinking of purchasing a second rig and there is absolutely no question as to what container i will be getting!!!

great customer service, really comfortable to wear
none

This being my first rig i decided to wait and put some jumps on it,before placing the review here.

The actual fit was perfect this rig has got to rank as the most comfy rig around,in the plane on the ground in the air. The articulation is worth every penny, have worn the non articulated as rental and its not quite as comfy. It is also worth getting the cut in laterals as well.

Did have a couple of issues split D-bag which had no bar tacking and a brindle that was made up the wrong way but to their credit Ankie sorted out these problems so quickly it proved to me i had made the correct choice in dealing with sunrise. They went that extra distance, quickly to ensure i was happy and for that i can only say thanks.

My wings like most people think was tight to start with for my new main, this has improved with time for me (was no problem for experianced packer i used). My container has taken a fair amount of punishment since i recieved it, learning to fly a new zp canopy. Which has shown how well constucted it is, considering it still looks good.

This has been a good experiance for me and i can only say i will buy from this company again.
