I put 200 jumps on my G4 M5 this year and it still looks like its brand new.  I just ordered a new G4 M2.  I have no complaints and it's a comfortable rig.

Very bad product

The rig starting losing its decorative elements after 55 jumps. The worst customer service.

Superior customer service, excellent fit and comfort, absolutely gorgeous rig!
NONE!

Fantastic customer service at Mirage. They were quick to handle any difficulty that came up, did my rigging for me, and got my rig out to me 2 weeks early in time for a boogie. These guys absolutely rock! The rig itself is gorgeous. I opted for contrast stitching and it turned out phenomenal looking.

Riser protection, great tuck tabs, great bridle protection
Container canopy sizing runs a bit tight

After having started jumping a couple of wings containers, which were fine, I custom ordered a new Mirage G4-M2. It is absolutely amazing. So comfortable and a VERY response harness. I would recommend Mirage to anyone and intend to buy another this fall or next spring.

Comfort, design
none so far

Jumped with quite a few rental rigs and then got my Mirage G4. It was like switching to sitting on sharp cut rocks to a most comfortable chair. Feels and works great. Like the design, but the best part is that Mirage keeps all the details in their DB so if you ever need to refer to your order you won't need to talk much at all, simply give them your code and you both will be looking at the same picture. The Mirage's Customer service is excellent too.

I've come back into the sport after 16 years, I had a limited time to receive my new rig, Mirage has the shortest delivery time and fit perfect on my body.

Also spare parts are easily available within short time.

I bought my G4 a couple years back. It's a fantastic rig and I'm very happy with it.

Recently wanted a small adjustments made to my risers, so I contacted the guys at Mirage who epitomized professionalism & responsiveness: E-mails were answered within minutes. Gear was manufactured and shipped within days.

This is a manufacturer that truly cares about its customer's satisfaction!!!

Nice rig.Customer service
None so far.

I bought my Mirage G4 this year and found myself complaining about the horrible fit and how one side seemed to fall off my body to the point that the right shoulder would slide off when I reached back to pull. .. Well.... it turns out, Im a freak of nature with one shoulder seriously lower then the other and i NEVER knew it. Mirage is teaming up to customize my rig for my freak of a body.

They are really going above and beyond to help me out and they are carefully looking at the options to keep me flying straight, even if my rig is altered to the degree that it isnt even. Very cool of Mirage to do this....and it was well out of warranty.

Excellent construction; comfort
None observed

I purchased a new G4 in 2006, and have been completely satisfied with this excellent container ever since. The construction is outstanding, it is very comfortable, and I haven't found any negatives associated with this equipment. I especially appreciated the 50 percent off they offered to returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans (I believe this offer has been discontinued, but it was greatly appreciated).

Form, Fit, Function, delivery
A bit Pricey

Well, after more than 30 consecutive years in the sport and owning eight different rigs; (one Crossbow, one Rapid Transit, two Vectors, one Talon, one Talon II and two Javelin Odysseys), I thought it was high time to buy a Mirage G4 and find out for myself why this manufacturer has attracted such a fan fare.

I was measured (twice) by Bonnie at Gravity Gear in San Diego, plunked down a big fat pile of crisp $100 bills and watched her hit "send" on the online order form. SIx weeks and four days later a new M0 rig showed up. We popped a Cypres II, Optimum 126 and Sabre2 135 into the container and then I put it on. My first impression was, "holy sh@!" this rig fits PERFECT! I mean of all my rigs, none of them ever fit me this good! Everything on the G4 was a custom fit; the main lift web, the leg and chest straps were all made for moi! The construction of this rig is awesome; no minor detail is overlooked. Sure it's possible to make another rig less expensive (and just as reliable), but I have to say there is something very gratifying about the quality of this rig. It feels so good when you are in the air and under canopy. Mirage is truly the "Cadillac of Rigs", bar none!

comfortable, durable, quality design, DELIVERY TIME :-)
nothing

It's a freakin G4, what else you can you say? In my mind, top rigs on the market are the G4; Odyssey; Micron; but who feels like waiting 4 months for a new container? NOT ME.

No worries about anything when wearing this rig. It's super comfy. Who else can deliver a new custom rig to your doorstep in 4 weeks? Definitely not Javelin or Vector.

Great rig, Great factory support!
None

Just bought a used G4 with 75 jumps. Took it to Mirage to have the harness sized for me. Jeanie took my measurements and Gus said it would need new leg straps and the main web shortened. On Tuesday he said it would be ready on Friday. He called the next day and said it was ready for pickup. He even repacked the reserve. All for $175. I highly recommend the G4 and Mirage for their support. Great people.

Comfort, fit, build
not found any yet

Stoked with my G4. I had a G3 before but with downsizing decided to go for a new container too. Basically everything I was happy with on my G3 is sound, and the grumbles are gone! The spacer foam is really good, holds it in the right place for FF. I also ordered the unisyn harness with lumbar support, which hugs my body really well.
The service from Mirage was great. I was able to get the original details from my first rig so I could compare sizing - useful, as my own measurements (taken 3 times!) turned out to be the same as the G3 so the size would have been a touch out. Discussion with Ward at Mirage helped me sort this out.
I didn't get the split bag (have to confess don't know whats going on there) but no probs so far.
Not due a third one for a while but I know where I'll be looking!

Comfortable great fit
None

Just bought a G4 for my first container, and could not love it more, I was jumping a wings for most of the season and found the G4 much more comfortable. The padding in the back is very comfortable on the trip up. the molded ends on the cutaway housing also feel much more sturdy that most rigs I have looked into.

Solid construction; attention to detail, fit and finish
none so far

On a rained-out day at DeLand I stopped by Mirage Systems' shop. Bob Beck gave me a tour that was very impressive. You immediately get the impression that these rigs are handmade by people who are really good at what they do and love doing it. I was especially impressed by the number of inspections each component undergoes before it reaches final form. I thought my new (self-measured) rig was a little tight, so Bob had me don it. There was a consensus that the stabilizers could be lengthed just a little. Bob the production manager stopped what he was doing, performed the Necesssary surgery, and later that day I came back to a rig that felt even better. Plus, Ward Hessig repacked my reserve, and this was all on the house! Now I know why I see so many Mirage rigs at my DZ and on this website.

Seemingly great build quality, good customer support for second hand, safety in design, modular, zero gear fear
Quite expensive

I finally got my first rig a few months ago. It's a Mirage G4 with Pilot 168 and PD-R 160. What a great bit of kit!

Although 2nd hand and built for someone 5'11 and 12.5 st, It fits on me well enough at 5'7" and 10st, without modification.

Reading over the mirage site, I really liked the amount of information about the design and features on the G4. I emailed Mirage about buying second hand and to verify the rig I was looking at and they were helpful and gave quick responses.

The build quality of the rig is great, I like the modular design so bits can be easily replaced in the field. The D-Bag design is good. Anti-snag grommets are good. Riser covers and guides are solid. Almost no velcro on the whole rig. Freefly tuck tab handle is secure but still a decent throw.

It's comfortable and I'm happy for my first rig. I do not look at anyone else's rig with envy, I love mine!

Comfortable, Leg straps
Stitching

The Mirage G4 was my first rig after I got off student status. I have around 125 jumps on it. I bought it brand new. I love the wide padded leg straps, very comfortable under canopy.

Cons: I have sent the rig back 3 times due to stitching issues. They seem to fray on my rig around the reserve handle and down near the leg straps. A buddy of mine jumps a G3 and has the same issues with his. Even though I like the rig I am researching new rigs, possibly the Icon from Aerodyne.

the engineering and manufacture is THE BEST IN THE WORLD.
I don't own 3 of them

The mirage G4 is hands down, the best made container system on the market today. They look the best, they are the most comfortable and there is no rigger in the world that can say a bad thing about them. Good job Mirage, I couldn't be happier.

Comfortable, practicle and nice looking!
more expensive that most containers (but well worth it)

It's the most comfortable rig I've ever worn. It's design and layout makes it easy to pack and maintain. Outstanding craftsmanship, kudos to the design team at Mirage!

Fit, Comfort, Safety Features
None that I've found yet.

I received my G4 MOS about three weeks ago. It is absolutely perfect. Fits me like a glove right out of the box. The fit and finish was exceptional. This was my first "new" rig. It was exactly as ordered and build like a bombshelter. Ward was very helpful in picking the right container and continued that level of service after the sale when I decided on a different pilot chute and hacky. They simply exchanged the units and rushed it to me. The customer support was always very attentive and professional. The product and support are top-notch.

Fit, Comfort, Confidence, Service
None

I received my new Mirage G4 (MX with fully articulated harness) on-schedule in mid-November (just under four weeks)and have put about 30 jumps on it. The delivery was under four weeks including getting a reserve and Cypress2 installed.

My G4 fit perfectly right out of the box. The back pad is very comfortable. The new lumbar support design is on the right track. The rig doesn't move at all. I can see how this stabilizer option keeps the rig from rotating. With such a narrow rig (less than 10" wide on the MX), I don't think that inset stabilizers would have added anything.

Although I mostly do 4-way, I like all the design features that may have been necessitated by free-flyers. Everything on the rig feels very secure. This gives me more confidence on the plane and in freefall. I don't worry about the rig keeping everything tucked away until I need it.

This may sound like funny thing to like about a rig, but I love the risers. The front riser dive loops are higher than I have had on other risers. As a result I feel like I can get more leverage and pull the front risers down farther without pulling on the steering lines. For my canopy this meant not having to resort to extra slack on the steering lines to avoid buffeting.

Mirage (Ward) spent quite a bit of time consulting with me on the phone regarding rig size and the various options. All of his advice was on-target. Overall, spectacular service from Mirage.

Great fit and style

I just got my G4 and OH What a Feeling! This setup is by far the most comfortable rig I have ever jumped. Not to mention the fantastic service I got from Mirage. Here is a special thanks to Ward Hessig for being so willing to take whatever time I required, without getting mad once. Thanks for helping me to be the most comfortable in the air that I ever have been. Great Job Mirage!!!

Comfort, Fit, Awesome Customer Service
Expensive, but well worth it.

After about 50 Jumps, the stiffness was gone. Now it feels like it's not even on(on the ground, as well as in the air). Mirage customer service, is by far, one of the best I've ever dealt with. They will make sure you are happy with the rig you purchased.
