The Infinity harness/container system was designed with two basic concepts in mind: safety and performance. An emphasis has been placed on increased security of the pin cover flaps and riser covers, an additional main riser cover is incorporated into the reserve container side flap, a redesigned reserve pilot chute for better launch and higher drag, and the standard Reserve Static Line (RSL) is Velcro-free and concealed for maximum snag resistance.

After being reading good things about infinity rigs I had finally decided to purchase one,  over UPT, Curv and Peregrine which were the other contending...

I might be unlucky but since I've got the rig I regretting my choice every single day, I wish I have never bought it!!

Uncomfortable, it doesn't fit me they clearly mistaken something during manufacturing it, or assembling it, the MLW is very short and the hip ring is on my waist, when I tighten the legstraps I have my torso compressed, even having difficulties to breath, the chest strap is over the nipple level, can't even check my RSL while wearing it since it is way back, when sit-fly the shoulder straps lift up over my shoulder about 10cm, the container stays far away from my back about at least 30cm, leg straps seems to be too big, they send me a belly band as trying to fix the issues but it definitely doesn't works.

I was dreaming about my first perfect fitting custom rig, but as soon as arrived it become my worse nightmare.

Customer service is awful, especially once they get the order done they reply like they're annoyed about your requests, and since the local dealer took in charge my case he told me he got the same feeling.

I have an SN model (short and narrow) and since the 23" std risers are too long (i wasn't warned about the possibility of that by them) I ordered new pair shorter, well they mistaken the colors.

I would never recommend to anyone and I'll try to sell it asap to someone who could wear it and I'll buy another brand, most probably UPT.

they probably were better back in the days since the reviews are a bit old...

All?
None?

I've had an Infinity for a few years now, and I've never had a single problem. I just got a new Party Bag and pilot chute for my new, downsized canopy, and I got it in just 5 days. The bag is perfect, and they've slightly changed the freely pud. It's a bit smaller but thicker, and with a slightly larger tuck flap. It's actually easier to grab, and stays firmer in place. Looking forward to getting my new Infinity rig, that's a no brainer!

Velocity Sports Equipment is just awesome! Their service and products are high quality. From the time you are designing your rig till it is in your hands there is a person that's helping you all the time, Nicole Fulk, she is really nice and very professional. There was a misunderstanding and my rig was shipped to another address, Nicole told me that she was going to solved it and she did, everything went perfectly and now I'm hugging my rig. Thank you again guys for your hard work and dedication I'm very happy I chose you.

Workmanship is excellent
Haven't found any..

Many thanks to Velocity Sports Equipment for working so hard to have my beautiful rig ready in time for Jump For The Rose Pinkfest Mini Boogie this year. The workmanship is beautiful. My logo is stunning on the back! The harness is super comfortable and the black hardware gives it that polished look. Many thanks to Nicole, Adam, and the rest of the team for working with DJ Marvin to create this masterpiece for me!

great customer service
none

I just bought a pre-order container that someone didn't want. It fit me perfect so I had to buy it. I'm a relatively new jumper and have heard great things about infinity. After dealing with the staff at velocity I was sure this was a good buy. They were helpful all the way through the buying process. Gave me a great deal on the container, and were willing to let me make layaway payments. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and its staff. I'm very much looking forward to jumping my new container. And will be a return customer.

Mesh back pad and legs straps, wingsuit mod, black stainless steel hardware
My wife won't let me wear it to bed

Infinity's customer service and products are awesome!!!

For starters, the design app on their website is sick. It was incredibly easy, and the price updates immediately with every premium upgrade selected (many of the important feature that every skydiver wants/needs come standard), so you know exactly what the cost will be (other manufacturers design tools are either rudimentary or over complicated compared to Infinity's program). Nicole Fulk, Director of Sales & Marketing (she's important), was awesome, taking time out her busy day to answer any and all of my questions and helping me make important design decisions so that I would have the features I needed to get the most out of my new rig. She also kept me abreast of my order status during production upon my request. Infinity beat their deadline for completion of my order, which was great; (epic use of a semicolon, glad the college education is finally paying off) I've had some issues with other skydiving gear manufacturers missing deadlines, so this was refreshing. There are three other people at my DZ who have received their new Infinities in the last couple of months, and I am here to tell you, "My experience is not unique!"

Finally, performance! Amazing!!! My container is incredibly sleek in design for my conservative main/reserve size (wingsuit specific system). The hackey is easily accessible at pull time even with a wingsuit (kind of important), and as far as the mesh back pad and leg straps, I feel like a king sitting on his thrown under canopy (you want this option, trust me)! The black stainless steel, although not a performance option, is something that I would suggest you get especially if you have a lot of black in your rig. I want to add that everyone comments about about how badass it looks. Some people even want to touch it, but other than myself, no one else, except my wife of course, handles my hardware.

On a serious note, I purchased this harness/container system as my first Velocity product based solely upon the recommendations of friends and acquaintances. I purchased it with the idea (however unrealistic) that I would use it for the rest of my wingsuit career. One thing I know for sure, when/if I ever replace it, it will be with another Infinity.

Just got my brand new Infinity container. A few words to describe my velocity sports experience: INFINITY IS MY LIFE! The entire process was excellent. Sales rep John helped me from start to finish. He was absolutely amazing. I used their website app to design my rig and he went over all the colours and options with me afterward. He even shortened the expected production time. Excellent support from start to finish whenever I had any concerns. When my container came in the mail it was perfect. Fits like a glove, and exactly what I ordered. The extra thick leg straps are a must, your canopy flight will never be the same. Floating laterals, low profile D ring, black hardware and dynamic corners for wing suit flights are all unique options available that I would definitely recommend! All in all I think this is the best gear you can get and Velocity Sports can be assured I am a lifetime supporter!

A custom fit container that is molded from top to bottom, side to side and front to back. The width of the leg straps d
Haven't experienced one yet

I am hardly the most experience jumper around, and I definitely have NOT tried every available container out there. I have jumper military FF containers and a few civilian rigs on the market. In early July 2013 (It's August 20th, as I write this review) I decided on ordering an Infinity container. Why Infinity? I based my decision on three factors; cost, look and customer review (recommendations). I know there are more experienced people in this sport that will not agree with my base reasons for selecting a container. When I gain the experience and expertise those people have, my next container may include their reasons, but for now these were my reasons.

I received my custom Infinity container about four weeks after I placed my order. One to two days after I placed my order, I received a call from Flora to confirm a color, pinstripe, and canopy sizes. This was a welcomed call. Flora truly understands the concept of customer service. I can rant and rave on how I was made to feel as if my questions really mattered to her, but that would just be words. You give her a call for yourself and ask her a random question, you'll see. She's simply a nice lady that provides an excellent customer service for VSE.

Once I received my container, I realized I failed to accurately describe the proper color placement on one of the panels. The error in my communication was one I could easily live with. Moreover, I remembered the service I received from Flora, and I hesitated to contact VSE to see if there could be anything done about the miscommunication, because I hated the thought of probably hearing a different side of a--to date--really nice person. I was willing to simply drive on.

I filled the container with my cutes and headed to the DZ. After my first jump, I was in awe at the degree of comfort the container provided me in freefall and under canopy. The custom fit container places everything in exactly the right spot; from the handles to the webbing placements. I am certain there are other containers out there that will provide you with the same comfort and feel, but I can say with certainty that my Infinity is one of them.

So what? So against my better judgment, I decided to send an email to VSE to ask what could be done with the miscommunication I had about the color issue I mentioned earlier, and about a slight charge I had not anticipated on my final bill. My email gave VSE and out, because I truly could live with the different color on one of the panels, and I was so satisfied with the comfort and fit of the container that I was willing to accept the slight up charge in exchange for the excellent customer service I received to date and wanted the experience to remain a positive one. As I mentioned, my email gave VSE an out as I simply asked for any consideration to my dilemma. To my surprise, in less than 24 hours I received an email from Tony that with no questions asked offered a compromise above and beyond anything I imagined. Quite frankly, I would have been satisfied with an email response, a T-shirt and a sticker (sorry to admit this now Tony). Anyway, I received an email from Tony, which apologized for the billing error that failed to include the promotional discount. The promotional discount dollar amount was a fair amount of money; enough to by a high-end helmet, high-end altimeter, or a 1/4 of an AAD. Beyond that, Tony offered to take the container back--after the jump season was over (huh?!)--and correct the color miscommunication we had for a very very minor fee. Unbelievable!

So, I now know when it's time to replace my new Infinity container that I will be going back to VSE. Why? Remove that fact that the container is the most comfortable rig I've ever had on my back, eliminate the fact that I received the container in much less time than I anticipated (when does that ever happen) and remove the fact that it's a great looking rig. With all that removed, I challenge you to find a manufacturer of any container on the market that will come close to the level of customer service you will receive from VSE. If you decide to take on this challenge, Good Luck! For me, I won't need luck. I already know what I'll get from Flora and Tony. Thank you guys!

Harness fit, quality of construction, ease of packing, customer service.
Long construction period.

I have some complaints about my new Infinity but it is not with the fit of the harness. I had an older Northern Lite that I had the harness redone by Velocity and really liked the fit. When I got ready to upgrade containers I made my decision based on the harness fit.

Little did I know that was a great decision. The double wide leg straps makes the leg feel good but the feel of the whole harness is SO much better than my former harness. On my third jump on the harness I was under canopy and took a moment to really feel the harness and it felt like an easy chair.

Also no complaints on the quality of construction which is great.

Especially no complaints on the customer service. When I had my old harness Tony took care of me. When I was trying to figure what size container I needed, they put up with my numerous questions. And finally when they forgot to put my B-12 snaps on my harness, they again took care of me. Tony had me return the rig when I wasn't using it, did the turn around in a few days and paid the freight both ways.

One of the reasons I am concerned about harness fit and B12 snaps is that I am old. I have jumped many brands of harnesses from old military surplus on up starting in 1964 and I want something comfortable.

My complaint is the time it takes to get your rig after you order it. I am like a kid in that respect. I ordered my rig in May and didn't get it until Sept., 17 weeks. It was shipped exactly on the day they told me it would be finished, but that didn't make waiting any easier. Would I order another, you bet, but with the same wait I will still whine.

Fit, quality, support
Looks a little square

I ordered my container in July and was jumping it by October. First, infinity has an excellent website when creating your rig. Thank goodness for the 3D design app, it really makes it easy to see the end product. Next, the production was seemless and speedy. The support was second to non. Tony made sure numerous times on the embroidery as well as color choices. His suggestions helped the overall look of my container. He was able to get it finished two weeks early as well. When I got the container, all I can say it is SIIIICK! It came exactly how I ordered it. And they threw in a bunch of free goodies in my D bag :)), nice surprise (Tee shrit, pull up cords, bottle openers, ect) My suggestion is to find a local infinity demo and talk to a rep. Keep in mind they have tons of "secret options" that are only by word of mouth. One being FREE black hardware. Infinity can be assured I will be a customer for life. Awesome rigs, great support and nicely priced considering most basics are fee based options of other rigs.

Great look, great comfort, great service
I can't think of any

I just jumped my new Infinity after I ordered it 8 weeks ago (I cut down on production time by paying an additional fee). I worked with Tony from Velocity Sports and he was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He worked closely with me and had my custom embroidery printed twice to ensure that it was done right and the colors were appropriate (he even ordered a specific colored spool of thread they didn't usually carry). When the rig arrived the embroidery wasn't centered the way I needed it so Velocity took it back (paid for the return shipping), fixed the logo, and had the container back to me within a week. Tony was very understanding and made sure everything was just as I needed.

The rig itself is clean and very aesthetically pleasing, the custom embroidery came out amazing, and it's much more comfortable than my last container (especially with the extra wide leg straps). The black steel is a nice touch too and I'm just generally very happy with my purchase.

Thank you so much Velocity for providing the quality products and service that you do.

Comfy, clever riser covers, Safe rig, cool design !
None

Where to start ... with a smell maybe, the smell of the unpacking of a brand new rig, pulling it out from the FedEx box. And then ? The look, colors that I choose to be a match with the suit, but wait the design !
It is obvious that the container has been designed for secure and maximum comfort, I'll take one example out of many - > the harness design of the chest strap is slightly wider and curved within for maximum comfort. Hence the feeling of wearing the gear as opposed to carrying a backpack.

Since I just started Skydiving I wanted to change from these RTS and heavy duty, awful school rigs. Wearing them was like sticking a security belt between your legs and risking castration at every opening.

Problem solved with the Infinity ultra wide leg straps reinforced with inner padding. On the ground you already feel the difference, no more painful await in the loading area, you can keep your gear on for an hour and still don't feel any comfort issue.

Then you get on the plane, doors open, green light and you discover another excellence of the rig. It sticks to your back making one with your body allowing you to move, arch, sit without catching wind between your back and the container !!! I have seen plenty of videos on you tube of folks sit flying with their container flapping behind ... yuk.

3500 Feet time to pull.
I have only 60+ jumps I usually get the rig packed but sometimes I do it myself so packing can vary a lot from a jump to another.
The rig is invariably comfortable regardless of the opening and any shock it may generate. Everything remains tightly fasten and you can really enjoy piloting without any pain at all.

So far I put approx 30 jumps with it I even took and passed my A license using it the rig.

Finally 2 thumbs up for Velocity rig + ChutingStar for the great/fast service and this amazing rig.

Quality, bulletproof protection, comfort, customer service
none

The Infinity has a well deserved reputation for providing all the features and quality that is expected of the larger mfgs.

I have bought 2 Infinities now, and prior to that had an early predecessor (Northern Lite II). Kelly Farrington has put together a design that gives up nothing compared to any other mfg. I didn't even consider anything else when it came time to order.

Ask a rigger that has had the pleasure to pack some, they will confirm the quality of the construction, and the fact that the simple yet effective design is indeed rigger friendly (not true of some other big name brands).

The price is very competitive. Some rigs will have very few options at a higher price, and try to tell you it is an advantage, and some rigs will have a bargain base price but charge you for the most basic of options that everyone will want - don't believe either of those pricing strategies. The infinity has a very reasonable set of base features, and reasonable prices for the upgrades.

Bottom line, you won't regret choosing an Infinity.

Great pin protection, very clean flap design, Floating laterals
Long container

I received my infinity a couple of weeks ago and have a few jumps on it. So far I love it. It has a very clean simple design, especially the way the flaps are laid out. I got mine in a custom fabric and they were more than happy to accommodate me. I am definitely a lifetime fan.

Solid pin protection, safety features, cut in laterals, customer service
Can't think of any

There are so many reasons that I am glad that I bought my Infinity. Most importantly is it's very well thought out design and safety features that it has. The pin protection is absolutely solid. The secondary riser covers are totally secure and having a Velcro-less RSL is really nice too. One of my favorite comfort features is the floating laterals which is a genius move on their part. No one else has them, and they are particularly good for women with smaller waists and far superior to cut in laterals because they self-adjust to your body position. I would like it if the SkyHook were offered as an option but from what I understand, Kelly (the owner) is thinking about it and would not offer it on his rigs unless he was 100 percent confident that the technology is totally reliable and it is the right decision to do so. With all of the knowledge and experience he has I have to trust that.

I absolutely cannot say enough about the quality of customer service that I have received from Kelly, the owner, and his partner. I am a very careful customer who has a lot of questions and specific requests. (Some might call me high-maintenance) With a product this expensive I want something near-perfect and am not afraid to ask for it. Another reviewer said that Kelly treats you like you're the only customer in the world and that is true. I've asked for a color of fabric different from what he offered and he went out and got it without even charging me extra. He got me smaller leg pads on request and I will be sending the rig in on my next rig for minor tweaks in the fit of it without any problems. He's done all of this and more in a cheerful accomodating manner that make me feel like a valued customer and dare I say it - even a friend.

And the cherry on top is the rig looks smoking hot! I've gotten lots of compliments.

Pin protection, Riser Covers, Cut In Laterals, Everything
Wish I had gotten one sooner

Just got a brand new custom Infinity and I'm in love. This rig is amazing and I've barely started jumping it. Cut-in Laterals, the end. I can't even tell I'm wearing it in freefall because it isn't moving an inch. Double wide leg straps are great under canopy too.

I've only jumped it a few times, but I'm extremely impressed with this container and am more than happy for the money I spent on it.

This is my second container and first new rig. I wanted to use a special cordura, told VSE the website, they checked out the specs and said they could use it. Through in a few last minute details and they had no problem with it. Rig came ahead of schedule, perfect fit, very comfy, t-shirt, stickers, all packed up professionally. I would by another Infinity in a heartbeat.

Everything
None.

1st Great service. I messed up on my order form by ordering large riser instead of thin one, I e-mailed VSE about 3-4 weeks after ordering, their answer was simply "alright will switch em out for you". and rig came in weeks before the due date.
2nd It fits great, feels great, looks awesome. I don't even wanna jump it because it's so beutiful.
3rd protection for the riser and bridle is solid.
4th Ordering form/picking color was so easy, while other company have so much to fill out, VSE keeps it simple yet, more then enough to match to your jump suit and your canopy.

Quality, fit, comfort, customer service
None

My new Infinity is by far the best rig I have ever owned.
The quality is the best I have seen in a long time, maybe ever. The fit was excellent, no harness binding, no tight spots. it was like putting on a custom glove.
When I got ready to order, I called Kelly with some questions and he not only was very helpful, he talked to me like I was his only customer. He wasn't hurried, he wanted to make sure MY questions were answered. A rare quality these days.
The reserve is very rigger friendly. The reserve pilot chute WILL get off your back. I found I had the closing loop just a little too short, after I compressed the pilot chute, so I pulled the temp pin. The pilot chute shot up 9 or 10 feet, it WILL get off your back if you need it!
I only do CRW so I can't comment on how this rig works with doing head down or RW, but, I can say since I spend a lot of time in the saddle, the double wide leg straps are the way to go.
If you're looking for a new rig, call Kelly. I do believe he is setting a new standard in, quality, fit, comfort and customer service.
Oh yea, I'll be ordering another Infinity for my competition CRW rig very shortly!

Price, Service, Delivery, Website, Freefly friendly, Easy to pack...
None

I've had my Inifinity since late 2003. Initially I put a bunch of jumps on it. Unfortunately my jumping activity slowed for awhile thereafter, but it has picked up in the last 6-8 months. All told, I'd say I've put 120 jumps, maybe more, on my Infinity. Buying this rig as new A-License holder was probably the best decision I've ever made. Let me tell you why:

1 - Service. Ordering was a snap. I went through my DZ, got the measurements from a rigger and put my order in. The cool part was I had used the website earlier to design the color combo. Having that added feature on the website lets you customize till your hearts content. I was so antsy to get the rig I couldn't stand it. I must have called VSE and spoke with Kelly at least a dozen times. He was *never* impatient, always very courteious, and extremely eager to get the rig in my hands. To me, this meant the world. As a newbie, it felt great knowing that the company building my rig was run by such a top notch guy. The rig showed up on time, and exactly as I had specified. 5 stars.

2 - Price. Not much to say on this subject, other than the obvious. As a newbie, I decided a mix of used/new equip would be best to save $. With the pricing on the Infinity I was able to go custom with some options, buy a new Smart reserve, and still have a couple hundred left over for a used main. No AAD.

3 - Packing friendly. I always hear lots of people complain about packing the first few dozen times. I can tell you I did the same, but when I received my Infinity, the complaining stopped. The d-bag fit my Sabre 150 nicely (snug but not impossible). The riser covers are easy to use (easier than Icon or Micron IMHO) when packing. The rig closes up nicely - the order is logical and the packing tray sets up nicely. Routing of the bridle is straight forward, and the BOC pouch + hackey + pilot chute are all great.

4 - Freefly friendly. If you're looking for freefly friendly, the Infinity has you covered.

All in all, after some time, and over a hundred jumps, I consider this rig to be the best piece of gear I own. If you decide to buy one as a newbie, I guarantee you'll feel the same.

customer service, quality of product, great looks
i only have 1

VSE, makers of the Infinity, makes probably the highest quality of container out there today. no matter what your discipline is it WILL keep you safe and do it's job, while mantaining a sleak appearance.

the customer service at VSE is what sets these containers and company apart from any other company out there. they know the true meaning of how to take care of their customers.

if you want quality customer service and a great quality product go with Infinity.

Customer Service is OUTSTANDING!!!
nothing much

I bought a new custom Infinity container last winter (February 05), spent all summer jumping it - but was concerned about how it fit - it was a little long on me. I didnt question it initially because i figured it was a custom rig made specifically for my measurements. I thought if i called to ask someone at Velocity Sports about it, they'd just tell me "we made it for the measurements you sent us" and that would be the end of their liability. Almost A YEAR later i finally did contact Velocity Sports about the fit - they had me send it back and made all adjustments for free (even gave me a free reserve re-pack). Apparently i have a rediculously short torso for someone with my measurements :) Kelly Farrington at VSE was WONDERFUL!!! He helped me out in every way to make this rig fit me perfectly. In a sport where a lot of companies tend to lack in the Customer Service Department - these guys are the BEST!!!

The rig is comfortable, easy to pack, and looks great (all for a significant amount less $ than other containers that really dont differ much at all)

Only con - i ordered the rig with an RSL and the RSL lanyard is pretty long. Every time i repack my main, i have to pull the extra lanyard through and tuck in under the reserve flap. Just a minor inconvenience. For as easy as this thing is to pack, it's a small price to pay :)
