The Infinity harness/container system was designed with two basic concepts in mind: safety and performance. An emphasis has been placed on increased security of the pin cover flaps and riser covers, an additional main riser cover is incorporated into the reserve container side flap, a redesigned reserve pilot chute for better launch and higher drag, and the standard Reserve Static Line (RSL) is Velcro-free and concealed for maximum snag resistance.

Great rig, great customer service
None that I am aware of

I love my Infinity rig. The company's attention to detail is impeccable and their customer service has always been superb. The rig itself is very secure, attractive and comfortable. From a rigger's point of view it is well made. I would definitely recommend it.

looks great, no pop-top, comfy
bridle protection

I love my Infinity. It was made in 1999, but it still looks great and has all the options. I really like the leg pads and the hip rings, very comfy. The only thing I dont like about it is the bridle protection, it is very good but you can still see about one inch (I like total protection). Otherwise it is a solid built rig and I would recommend it to anyone. My next rig wil be Infinity.

Comfort, secure flaps, great looks
None, unless you don't like being comfortable

I wasn't going to write yet another repeat rave review of the Infinity considering there are 20 or more already, but as much as I love my rig, I figured I'd add the first for 2005. Do yourself a favor and get one. It definitely surpasses, in my opinion, the more often seen rigs. I get compliments at every DZ I visit. I'll probably never buy any other container again.

Comfort, Safety, Price
none

I have owned Infinity rigs since Jan. 2000. They are extremely comfortable, especially under canopy. I have never had a problem with a flap or riser cover open. I really like the reserve cover for reserve pin checks, easy to get a good check in, but still very secure. The rig is built solid.

Customer service is awesome as is delivery time.

Security, workmanship, fit, clean design, price
None

I spent about 3 months trying to decide what to get for my first custom container. Due to the recommendations of several very experienced jumpers and its price, I went with an Infinity. I could not be happier with my decision.

The security of the container is incredible. I have chosen to pursue freeflying, and I believe that no matter my position or orientation, not a single flap will come open unless I want it to. And yes, you really can pick up the rig by the closed main flap. I also like how the secondary riser covers are part of the reserve container. It offers a lot of protection, but at the same time it's very simple.

My previous rig was not custom, so I noticed a huge difference in the fit of this one. The rig feels very solid when I put it on. It does not slip or shift at all in freefall, and the harness is actually comfortable under canopy.

I listed price last in pros because I was willing to pay whatever amount to get the container I wanted. Of course, saving money is always a good thing, so the fact that this cost less than some of the other top-of-line containers out there is a plus.

Overall, this is the best piece of gear I have yet purchased. The safety, attention to detail in construction, and awesome fit of this harness/container all make me a very proud Infinity owner.

Rigger Friendly, Extreme range of motion freedom
Color shades are a little different from ordering samples

After only 6 weeks my new Infinity was at my door. My rigger and I asembled the rig in about 4 hours and had fun doing it! The rig was very rigger friendly. While checking the fit of the complete system, I noticed immediately that it fit as well as my previous Javelyn Oddessey. I am a large dude and the freedom of motion I have with this rig will seriously help me become a better skydiver!

Safe for all flight types
none

I had the chance to buy a used Infinity 30 jumps ago and it rocks.
Even in a stand or a sit the main flap stays closed and the pilot chute is secure. It is a container that is easy to pack and the reserve pin protection and main riser protection are as good as it gets.
I love my rig. Infinity is a solid choice if a person wants all the safety of modern gear without extreme expense.

Value, comfort, functionality and FAST delivery!
bungee stows on main bag really small!

I wanted a new rig and I was thinking 'Odessey'. The thing that put me off was the long wait! (5 months or so at time of ordering) I was in Square 1 at Perris and they pointed me to the Velocity. A good price and a good-looking rig, and a quick turn round too. People who jumped one had only good things to say so I placed my order. Six weeks to the day, I was back in the UK with my hands on my brand new rig. Jumping in it has proved very comfortable and I love it more each jump. The bungee stows are small so when you snap a bungee, it's a fiddly job replacing them, but apart from that a truly wonderful piece of kit. My team-mates are now thinking of approaching VSE to order team Velocities!
You don't see many in the UK, but I've been a few different DZ's with mine and I get some positive enquiries from people who see it. Dare to be different!

VSE - Can we get a team deal now I've been so nice ;-)

Yeah
Nope

I've been jumping both my new Infinity's now for a few months. I feel bad for not telling everyone sooner what a great gear buying experience this was. This makes the 4th and 5th new rigs I've purchased since I started skydiving. Customer Service, simply put, there is None Better. Quality of Product; If it's possible I couldn't tell you how to make it better. These two Rigs were Exactly what I expected when I ordered them, oh, and I typically expect allot. I've spent 25 years in the aerospace industry in Quality Assurance, so it's not All my fault, I've been trained to be picky. In my opinion, simply put; The Best Looking, Most Comfortable, Functioning Rig, (not to mention the most economical), period. So I bought Two!!!! So if your considering a new rig, Buy an Infinity, You will not be sorry. Thanks to Jeff and Kelly, oh yeah, Ralph and Shelly too. Greg Beloit, D15859

Fits like a glove and riggers love it
I only have one

First off Velocity Sports has the best customer services in the business! If you want it they will bend over back words to make you happy. They have a way of making everyone feel like they are the most important customer in the world! You don't find that much in todays market!

Now to the rig itself. I love the way mine fits. Most of the time I don't even know it is on it is so comfortable! The double wide leg straps give you the feeling of sitting in the harness as opposed to just hanging from it. Even with out chest rings that most people thing they need to have today. This rig never slips off my shoulders!

Free fly friendly you ask? YES!!!!! With the secondary riser covers that extend all the way down the sides of the reserve container I never worry about them coming out. The main flap is the most secure I have ever seen. Even with a down tuck on the main flap it NEVER comes open in free fall!

They have so many sizes of containers to choose from you can make a smart and sensible choice when picking the right reserve for you. Getting a reserve one or even two sizes bigger then your main is hardly ever a problem. Unlike some other manufactures that offer most of there containers with reserves trays smaller then the main. That's good if you only want to look cool. If you are more saftey conscious then you are worried about the cool factor this is the rig for you.

Bottom line this is in my opinion the best Rig on the market hands down! Affordable, on time, safe, comfortable and customer service second to none!!!!!

Excellent quality, features and value for the price, fast custom orders, good customer service.
A realitively small range of canopies will fit into any particular container. Chest rings not an available option. The

When ordering the rig for a certain canopy size, you are limited to about one size up or down from the size it was designed for. The custom fit rig is very comfortable, and the workmanship is excellent. Being a rigger, one of my main concerns is ease of packing. The Infinity is as easy to pack as any other rig out there, and much easier than some that are touted as being "rigger friendly". As a long-time jumper who has had many reserve rides, I really appreciate the great pilot chute launch and the high-drag reserve pilot chute. The Infinity is a very nice looking rig with lots of thought going into the design and production of the details as well as the general function of the system.

Craftmanship, comfort, safety
None

I tried to wait before I reviewed the new Infinity, but after 10 or 12 jumps I have to say this is the best rig I've ever flown.
I am really impressed with the fit and finish of this rig. Not only is it beautifully engineered it just feels good wearing it,on the ground and especially in the air. The exceptional pin and riser protection gives me a lot of confidence in tight aircraft cabins and in every skydive.
Even with a 190 sq. ft. main it still packs great and looks terrific. Riggers seem to really like it.
Can't beat the price either.
This is good stuff!!

Looks Great, Very Safe, Comfortable, Great Price
None that I know of

I waited a few months before I posted this. I've been jumping my Infinity now for a bit now, and really love it. Very comfortable to wear, great riser and pin protection. Best of all, it just looks good. It has a great shape to it.

Oh, by the way, I hear they are priced well too, but I'd never trade in quality for a price.

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about it. Kelly Farrington has designed and built one of the highest quality containers available. Everything about this container screams quality and performance.

Safe, comfortable, attractive, and riggers love it!
Not enough people own them!

As a rigger, I have found that the infinity is top of the line for packing (reserves as well as mains), cypres fitting, riser protection, reserve pilot chute spring strength, and reserve tray design. There are a minimal amount of flaps for the reserve to deploy through, reserve pins are well protected by tape as well as pins. Those who choose to use an RSL will find no velcro, but also minimal possibility of snagging the line. I haven't packed a lot of rigs, but I have seen quite a few different maufacturering styles, and Infinity has taken the fancy work out, made their rig simple and extremely effective. I've even considered giving repack discounts for Infinity owners!

workmanship, delivery time, functionality, looks
none found

On 5/13/2002, I contacted Ralph at Western Parachute sales about ordering a container and harness system. After some some talk, I was convinced to order an Infinity Rig. I checked out their web site and came up with a custom order. On 6/4/02 (21 days) I received my order. It surprised me to see this small well fitting rig in the box. It fit like a glove, the workmanship was second to none, and best of all, it is totaly functional. No velcro, riser tuck tabs, articulated harness and stainless steel hardware, etc. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a rig to check this out. These guys are putting together a great rig with all the things we need as jumpers and this rig will take me well into the 21st century. Comfort, quality, flap security, price
None

I work for a skydiving equipment retailer, so I can have pretty much any container I want. My choice was the Infinity and I couldn't be happier with it now that I have it.

This rig is incredibly comfortable, both in the harness and the container. Mine has hip rings, which I highly recommend regardless of the brand container you choose to buy. I've put eleven jumps on mine so far, about half RW and half freefly, and I barely know it's there in freefall. Under canopy the extra wide leg straps are very comfy, and even with stainless hardware I've had no problem with them loosening up in the plane or in the air.

Price and delivery time are two big selling points. As of January '02 delivery time for a custom Infinity is down to four to five weeks, which beats the "big boys" eight to twelve weeks hands down! The price, even once you put some options on it, usually works out to US$100 - $200 less than a comparably optioned Vector 3 or Javelin, and US$200 - $300 less than an Odyssey or Mirage.

The highest quality construction and materials are used throughout the rig. Velocity Sports is a small company and as such can provide rapid response to customer service problems and requests, another big selling point for me.

Flap security - it's been mentioned in other reviews here and I agree; the flaps on this container are bombproof! Although the main flap closes at the bottom I have no doubt that it's going to stay shut regardless of what body position I'm flailing.. err I mean flying in.

Overall I can't say enough good things about the Infinity harness/container system. Do yourself a favor; if you're in the market for a new rig, look long and hard at the Infinity before you make your decision!

The Infinity is great!!!! I wanted a rig I could freefly in and the Infinity is definatly the rig. It is inexpensive and is made tough. I got it in just a few weeks, custom with all the trimmings. Fits well, and is NOT coming open, no matter how you fly. Hats off to Andy, he definatly makes a tight rig.

The Infinity container is hands down the most comfortable harness/container I have ever jumped, both in free-fall and under canopy. I ordered custom and the rig could not have fit better nor could it have looked better. The main pin protection is very good. I like the mirage and vector 3 system better when it comes to main pin protection...HOWEVER...the Infinity will never come open. I can stick my two fingers under the main closing flap and lift the entire rig up like that without the flap coming open. Bridal protection you ask?? How about there is NONE exposed as long as you pack it nice. I was jumping my Talon 2 before the Infinity came in and the difference in comfort under canopy was very noticable. When over the field and its get dizzy time the harness is the most comfortable I have ever felt.

Riser Protection- Off of the reserve container are secondary riser covers that literally guarantee that you will never have risers smaking you in the Gath, whether it's in free-fly or belly flying or try to make yourself puke flying. I was semi dissappointed in the delays on the time it took them to complete the custom rig. But my pure and absolute satisfaction completely makes up for it. This rig is INCREDIBLE! And it is very well priced to boot.

If you decide on the Infinity. I bet you will love it as I do. If my rig could get me a beer. There would be a ....

Ciao, Monk

A breeze to pack
None

A couple of weeks ago I received my new Infinity Container in the mail. After having it inspected by a rigger and having my reserve packed I was ready to jump. My rigger, who is also a freeflier, liked the added riser and bridle protection, as well as the overall appearance. The reserve pilot chute spring is exceptionally strong and will provide an excellent launch if needed.

Next came the fun part...Jumping it... After a nice 30sec freefall, I pulled at 6000 to play a bit and try things out. I found the rig to be very comfortable to hang from and did no dig into me even when doing extremely hard spirals.

It is a breeze to pack up and the riser covers go over the shoulder and stay closed very well. Overall a great rig. Thanks to all of the staff at Velocity for a job well done.

After years of owning Racers, Javelins, and Vectors, my wife insisted I get a new Infinity from Velocity Sports. This new rig is perfect. In the past, I've had the open flaps, the loose risers, and even two premature deployments while skydiving (not with ROL pilot chute but with Pullout), but no more. The new Infinity closes securely, with the double riser covers insuring nothing, but nothing, is going to come out too soon. When you're head down at a bazillion miles an hour, it kills the fun to be worrying about your gear. Whether freeflying, belly flying, or working hard with students, this rig makes it a lot more fun. It's about as comfortable as anything else I've worn, and the workmanship is great. Now if they'll only design a tandem rig, I'll have it made.

The new Infinity is the first harness/container to emerge from the Pacific Northwest that can compete on the world market. Mr. Farrington's experience working for a major Florida manufacturer shows in the conceptual design of the new Infinity in the way the long riser covers stay closed, the way the main tuck tab stays tucked in and the way the yoke caresses guys with big shoulders. The new Inifinity differs in detail design with about half the parts count of the Vector III. Way to go Infinty!

Infinity Container by Velocity Sports Equip. is a great new container design. VSE kept some of the old infinity container style and added some great new age flying options to the container. A better tuck in reserve pin cover flap, main-bridle cover flap, and great new riser covers. These added features help in all forms of skydiving. The container is ergonomic and it contours to your body, in all different body positions. The service I received was excellent and I had the container in just a few weeks. The container is mid range in price and base price includes many options you usually have to pay for. Great new design VSE.
