Dolphin

I have a 96’ Dolphin which I bought used from a friend.
It’s great, I have tic tacks and not Velcro on the raiser covers and I added (my rigger added actually) some Velcro running from the BOC pouch to the right flap so the 1 inch exposed bridle is velcroed in place, and I added the elastic strip connecting the harness leg straps so they will stay in place during sit fly.

I do both RW and Freefly, never had a problem, I recommend it to anybody who is starting to skydive and want a good safe comfortable rig at an excellent price.

I purchased a second hand '96' model dolphin and i am extremely happy with it. it is a cheaper choice for skydivers and i have had no problems with mine yet. the new riser cover design has made the rig much better and when i buy a new rig i now what i'll be getting, a dolphin.

I purchased a used Dolphin and love it. I have tested a few other containers and my Dolphin is more confortable and fells lighter. This container is a great value that will not drain your wallet. I have e-mailed Altico several time
( Mike Furry ) is always willing to give information and advise fast and promp. Custumer service is 5 star. My next container will be a Dolphin.

Have not seen the new Dolphins, but the old ones ('96) that I've jumped in Lodi were awful. The velcro on the riser covers was tiny and insecure. I had a riser out @ 8K. I understand, that it was partly rigger's fault, because he had to replace the velcro. But other rigs with tuck tabs DO NOT require that maintanance.
The harness was very uncomfortable, especially when I was doing hard spirals under the canopy. I think, there are better rigs out there. Again, I have not seen Dolphin 2000. Just my 0.02.

I have a 2000 model Dolphin and I think it is great. Altico has improved the bridle protection so that it is now protected by a flap running from the BOC up under the right hand flap. This seems to be much more secure than some of the older designs I have seen and offers more piece of mind. The riser covers now go all the way over the shoulder as well for better protection. As far as customer service, Altico was a pleasure to do business with. They were always willing to take the time to answer any questions you may have. The Dolphin does not have all the extra options found on the rigs costing twice as much, but this is what keeps the price down and cuts delivery time. Don't let the price fool you though, the Dolphin is a safe rig with solid construction. My Dolphin arrived at my door a week after I ordered it which I thought was outstanding!
