Too short kill-line and line twists?

Recommended Posts

Quote

My kill-line is too short. I was wondering how large/small effect this will have on my deployment and possibility for line twists?

Cheers

your Kill Line is too short? Or your bridle is too short?

If it's a kill line, get it fixed. You run a risk of a PCIT whether it's a WS jump or not.
If you're talking about a bridle, how short is "too short" in your mind?
One doesn't -need- a 9' bridle for wingsuiting, but if you're flying a big suit, it's a pretty good idea.

A PCIT or long hesitation increases the chances of line twists if your body is changing position during deployment.

Have it fixed before you next jump. Not only linetwists get more likely, but also the chances for a massive hesitation or even a PC in tow malfunction increase!

Please don't jump undermaintenanced stuff.
For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
