I concur w/ Scott. Posting & texting are just teasing. Pics & video for the unfortunate.

Jim

I'm sure one of the video guys will post something before long.

I say they should wait with the posting until there are 2 threads of 100 posts yelling that there is no picture or there is no grid-worthy picture... and another 2 threads bitching about numbers and gps tracks... isn't that how we do things around here? :P

jokes aside... sounds like you guys are doing some cool stuff! can't wait to see the eye candy. wish I was there!

Last night Rook asked Jeff and myself to join his UFO jump team.....with our wingsuits!!!! So the firework engineers strapped two VERY large sparklers to each our feet. They had to be wired up, inside our suits going to arming devices and triggers, which were taped to our chest straps.

We exited after the Freeflyers, Once off the aircraft, we had to reach to our chest straps and arm the canisters.

Once armed, we got together and fired one each. We then flew in a zig zag pattern for the crowd.

after the first one burned out (20 seconds) we got back together, and lit the second. We then went head down toghether and peeled off in different directions. SIMPLY AWESOME

one of the coolest jumps I have ever done.

I am glad we did not burn up, and our wingsuits endured.

There will hopefully be some video of it up soon. If you have not been to SUMMERFEST, YOU MUST GO. The UFO Jump and fireworks are reason enough. We will have an even cooler jump next year.;);)

Sounds like an awesome jump!
Was that nighttime/late in the day, or is that stuff even visable brightly during daytime?

Cant wait to see! Sounds like something also worth submitting to some news stations etc (being quite special outside of a normal skydive in all aspects, as well as visually interesting in several ways).

Nighttime

Then the Otter made a low pass along the runway and they detonated about 8 big charges on the ground as it passed, along with X gallons of fuel ignited so it looked like a bombing run creating a wall of fire. We were about 50 yards back and could feel the heat.

And that was just the kick-off for the big fireworks display.

Summerfest is REALLY COOL.

(And they just completed the 108-way head down world record this evening).

The "Ungnome" Gnome at Skydive Chicago. Pic below. :P

Beware --- he will drink your beer and take your women.:|

The Ungnome can pop up anywhere without warning.B|

Legend has it he is drawn to wingsuit boogies, and also taught Purple Mike all he knows about mackin' on the ladies. ;)B|

LONG LIVE THE UNGNOME.

Nice stuff!

Cant wait to see some of the news stuff, and footage shot by/for Discovery channel etc on the event!
Everything so far sounds like an awesome event worth attending next year!

And though not wingsuit related, cant wait to see that 108 way freefly record as well.

Looks like freefall contest.

When start you with flying in place of falling?

P.S. I am not Yuri!

Not so ---- this pic is from early in the build of the formation.

I was not flying top or bottom video, I'm sure those pics will be available soon.:)
From the pics I saw the formations were very solid.
