Birdmen in OK, AR, or MO

Recommended Posts

Since the plane crashed at Skydive Airtight it looks like I might not work for a few months. Now is the time to hone my WS skills. I went to Hill Billy Boogie in MO (Mullins King Air) and brought my wingsuit. I had to make solos. :(

Any WS guys in the states, DZs near me or is Skydive Dallas the closest DZ around with WSers?

PS. Without the tandem/AFF Instructor work at Skydive Airtight I don't have much money to travel to other boogies.

I jump out at Siloam Springs. I didn't go to Hillbilly Boogie since our Beech 18 is now up and I didn't feel the time and gas for the 240 mile round trip was worth the extra 500 ft of altitude the boogie was giving when I only had to drive 20 miles to get to Skyranch.

You've got my phone number, give me a call if you head over to Skyranch and I'll meet you there to do some flocking.

The dz is easy to get to, just take US 412 east from tulsa until you get to Siloam. you'll go through town and about a mile past Wal-Mart you'll come to the AR 59 junction. Turn North (left) and the entrance to the airport is a quarter mile on the right. To give you an idea of the travel time, Grill drives it in about 75 minutes, coming from the East side.

Hi Steve,

The wingsuit capital of Texas is at Skydive Houston! We have 6+ regular wingsuiters as well as demo suits. Last weekend we surfed some nice white puffy clouds! Let me know if you can make it down some time. We should have several birds come out for the July 4th weekend.

Purple Mike

P.S. What type of suit do you have?

I wish building a flock was as easy as sitting on a few eggs for a while ... someday the north will have a flock to join in on the fun. :)
