shropshire 0 #1 April 18, 2009 Did my first 3 solo wing-suit flights today and I can't believe how good I feel (except my arms, which are F**ked). The first wasn't so good (I flipped over for a spell but then spent the rest of the flight looking at ground). #1 13.1K exit : 5.1K Deploy : 51Seconds Flying : 93/101 m.p.h #2 12.7K exit : 5K Deploy : 66Seconds Flying : 75/80 mph #3 13K exit : 5.3K deploy : 70 Seconds Flying : 77/95m.p.h I know, it's not going to set the world alight but it was fun, fun fun. Deniq 0 #2 April 18, 2009 Good news, but try in fisrt WS-jumps to focus you on safety. Good results comes in the next (and safety) jumps. Here you can see the target for next years: www.trackingderby.com/en/trace_view_2858_meters.php
DSE 3 #3 April 18, 2009 Very cool! Which suit did you use? What Denis said; worry about flying first, length of freefall and speed will come right behind. Hope to flock with you one day!

shropshire 0 #5 April 18, 2009 Thanks - It's a Tony Intro. I've got some great coaches (Top Gun folks) near by, so I'll be using them when I can. and am going to Spain soon to watch and learn at The Empuriabrava Flock. I look forward to flocking with other folks, when I have more experience (a chap needs a goal). I'd love to get over to the States some time and fly with all of your chaps... but I've a hell of a lot to learn before that can happen - cheers tho' All the very best, Tony (.)Y(.) shropshire 0 #7 April 18, 2009 Nope - I would have liked to get down to Headcorn but it's a touch expensive of a day out, so I stayed at Sib... I hope to be going back tomorrow too. (.)Y(.) shropshire 0 #12 April 19, 2009 Hi Macca - it actually turned out rather nice - 2 more done. Um... this sounds silly but... I seem to have noticed (or imagined) that my internal Freefall clock is buggered.. After flying for a bit, I sort of feel that I should be getting near pull time but am still quite high.... now logically this is O.K but what about when I do 'normal' sky dives... if my internal clock becomes tuned to wing suiting I could have a bit of a problem. - I need to think about this.
