brabzzz 0 #1 November 13, 2003 Hi, we're considering buying a rig with a PD reserve. The reserve is about 10 years old and i've heard that they need recertification/inspection/a check or something like that when they get 'old'. Do they (in the UK)? It would obviously get a once over from a rigger anyway but does it need to go back to PD? Hooknswoop 19 #2 November 13, 2003 THe inspection isn't time-based but based on re-packs and deployments. If it has 40 re-packes or 25 deployments, it has to go back to PD for an inspection. There are boxes on the label on the center of the tail. A "/" = a re-pack, and a "X" = a deployment. Derek
Jacqueslevrai 0 #3 November 13, 2003 Mine is 14 years old, with no deployment. It was stored for 10 years with no usage, and had been checked by à rigger. it still OK and i use it now@+ en l'air et bon saut
