My school is not "for sale"

Recommended Posts

We've had some weird offers and questions with our flylikebrick 'wingsuit school' in the past as well.

People without any jumping experience wanting to fly wingsuits (jump 1, preferably off a cliff), people wanting to buy our school, make T-shirts, and loads of offers for Viagra..

Who's wanting to buy your school chuck?

Seeing 'you' are the wingsuit school, you could opt to just sell the name for loads of $$ and reboot:P
Have a nice financialy warm X-mas and stuff;)

You can buy my wingsuit school for three EZ payments of $29.99 and if you order now I will throw in my video for getting ripped abbs absolutely free.

But seriously without any background info on offers made and why the post means nothing to 98% of the readers. Its kind of like a post that contains nothing but the word shabawanga or something like that in it.

Lucky there was the b in there... I was dangerously close to killing another kitten!!

But chuck, I take my offer back... With the financial credit crunch, I was having a hard time getting a loan anyway!:D:D

But really who wanted your school? See you the 20th Negro!

Actually, what got me riled up was a second-hand rumor that a buddy of mine discussed at an out-of-state boogie with another good friend who routinely jumps with us. This other buddy of mine has been working his mojo and increasing his "market share" in schooling. Whatever.... I love both of the guys, but the bottom line is that it is me who owns this school. Outright. No partners.

History: the term "Z-Flock" was termed by the first two wingsuiters on this dropzone: Chris Ware and Scott Bland, BOTH of whom I trained in their BMI coure (along with Scott Campos as my fellow BMCI candidate) nearly a decade ago. Scott Bland is still a VERY active member of our local community and still is a primary sponsor/organizer of the Flock and Dock events we run here at the dropzone. Chris still skydives here, but mostly freeflys now, for whatever reason. He is now very, very sick, but was the person who actually coined the term "Z-Flock" and gave out the numbers. He is the person who paid Tony Uragallo to make our huge "Z-Flock" banner which flys on the outside wall of our school.

I pay rent here to own the concession. I have been flying wingsuits since 1998. NONE of you have more wingsuit jumps than I do. If you claim you do, then you are perpetrating a fraud and can kiss my ass. The President of USPA signed off on both of my last "1000 jump" awards and I will be making my 6000th jump in about two months. That's over 2300 wingsuit jumps now.

Our school is sponsored with suits by every major manufactuer. We teach people on the suits which are most appropriate for their body type. We are not biased at all by any one manufacturer. Buy what you like. I can facilitate any choice you make. There are never less than 30 suits hanging on my rack. Come visit us and have a fucking blast this winter!

Again: my school is NOT for sale (or franchise)

Yep, seriously not for sale!;)

Chuck, BTW, once I finally make some serious money over here, you've been on my list of good people to conatct for WS training.

I guess it's the ex-military, airborne attitude and Raeford experience.

See ya in a year or 2.

I sense insecurity.
and I am willing to guess there's got to be people with more WS jumps than you.

also, have you REALLY been flying Wingsuits since 1998, or have you made you first WS jump in 1998 and then took a few years off ? (a dozen or less jumps a year does not count)

PS Since you are not longer a moderator, you cannot erase this post like you did with my last one years ago, when you had the same type of attitude.

So what did you learn after 500 wingsuit jumps, a 1000 wingsuit jumps etc? do you think maybe you hit a plateau?

But, It's nice to know that one day when I have that many wingsut jumps, I will have an ego to match!

woohoo! Maybe I'll have to make a dedicated skydiving trip to Z-hills...

You do coach as you put it so coyly,

I'll bring a few suits to, sorry since I am not sponsored or otherwise I only own 4....

I am not at all insecure. I am just a prick with an attitude; same as always. Actually, I am pretty sure there are a couple of other guys with as many wingsuit jumps and that's fantastic. That's besides the point though. The point is, the school is "not for sale." It's actually an inside joke and you are clearly not read in on it.

As for the moderator comment, eight years of that was more than enough for me. Flame away, or just come visit us this winter and fly with us. Bring beer.

I did realize it as such. And it stopped being an inside joke when you had to explain it.

so, let's get this straight - out of the 7.5 years that you have been registered here, and whatever time since then that you have NOT been a moderator (since at least early 2007) (math gives me 6 years MAX) - you have moderated for 8 years. On top of that you have most WS jumps of anyone and have been flying WS since 1998. you're awesome.

only one part of your post I agree with. and I am sure you can guess which one that is.
