Flock ‘n Dock 3.0 Z-Hills Mar30-Apr1

Recommended Posts

Either Nebelkizzy or Sato. On that jump three of us flew a backflying base. That screen shot was taken from my video mid-turn, thus the sloppiness of the formation. We are doing some very fun shit here already. Later in that skydive myself and Jeff were backflying docked with Eddie Pawlowski docked on me while others formed up in a wedge on us.

"But you are right in that it is the guy that is out there lost or trying to get back in that is going to take you out big time. That type of situation is something you have little control over - best you can do is flock with birds you know and trust."

IslandGuy, we have touched the subject of trust before
(http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2709551;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#2712977)
I agree, I'd be also more comfortable jumping with people I jumped with a lot before but I really think its best to count only on your eyes and instruments in the sky.

>>That type of situation is something you have little control over

Sorry, I disagree. You do have some control if you are at least looking where you are going.

The incident that we talked about a couple of weeks ago clearly shows that a person "taking you out" doesn't even have to make an active effort to take you out.
It could even be a tandem canopy, a high puller etc.
The higher your airspeed - the higher your responsibility for scanning the airspace in general direction of your travel.

If you are flying on your back and looking straight up at your buddy, the only person you can objectively trust for navigating and checking the airspace is him, your buddy.
Blindly trusting anyone else for not being on your way just makes no sense to me.
Also when shit happens, it happens fast - very hard to remember afterwards if the "actual direction of the source of the light" changed 30 degrees or not.

I'm not with you, guys but I wish you beautiful and safe flocking.

Can't wait to see pictures and videos.

Pictures you fools! Pictures!

Some of us are stuck in offices, and thats the closest we can get to legaly watching something that has the same effect as pornB|

Here you go Jarno, try and keep your hand out of your pants! These aren't official Flock n Dock pictures, just some frames from some late in the day flocks that I've managed to jump on after being released from the big-ways.

I've got to fly a Blade and a Mach1 so far, which has been very cool.

Right, I've got to be up in 7 hours for a dirtdive so I'd better be off but these should be just in time for your morning you European you.

I am sure someone will post something better than screen grabs starting tomorrow. Scotty Burns flew his digital still on the last two larger jumps. End of day flock was a 22-way V. It's a good event. Oh wait......the event doesn't really start until tomorrow!

Chuck

Fucking Veggie Reggie just got here from Kamloops!

You are not going Scott? I talked to Kathy today and she mentioned something like 70 registered.

I was planning on going but some work issues have prevented me from attending. Lame I know but those work issues directly affect my ability to do little things like, well you know: a mortguage, car payments, insurance payments, my daughters after school crap a wife that does not work, blah blah blah.. I basically suck for not going [:/]

Things do not suck here at Z-Hills! If you are not here then you must suck! We had a full Otter load of wingsuiters on the last dive, and the event hasn't even begun. More people arrived before we left the ground ... we are now having to use 2 Otters to lift all the wingsuiters.

The weather is beautiful and we have a ton of lift capacity. If you're not here I hope that leash doesn't chafe you too badly! :)

Your issues are my exact issues, bro! We do not suck! We are just domestically destabilized for long travel flocking.

Tell me about it! I'm in the same boat.

Be safe and have fun guys and gals.

Chuck, tell Robbi that if he needs any pictures of my prodigy next to my RW suit or of me in it to just give me a call or drop me an email.

Hows todays flocks!?

Why don't we see atleast one big docked flock picture this year? It has always been called flock n dock but until this year, there have been no attempts at docked flight. Let the rest of the people see a docked picture for this year's flock and dock. My count is atleast a 7 way.

Matt can to get the pic B| .
