V-2?

This weekend, while a trio of us were flying V-1's (not, sadly, at the Z-Flock event), I heard that Phoenix Fly has started taking orders for V-2's.

Any official word? Anyone at the Z-Flock hear this from the horse's mouth?

A couple weeks ago I asked James about giving a general future timeline as to when this might occur, (such as summer, fall, or winter) and he said he was not able to give any. So very highly doubtful, but I guess anything's possible.

One of the guys I jumped with said that he had actually been able to put in an order for a V-2, but without a definite delivery/release date.

In that case it could be true, because that's how I ordered my phantom...not knowing what it looked like or what it would cost, only knowing that eventually I'd have one.

If that is the case looks like all the stuff on my 'to get' list (base gear, jumpsuits, other toys, etc) will be immediately superseded.

I'm only dealer for them so I don't know the whole timeline for their products but I can assure you that right now, the only available suits are the ones on their website.

It's a really neat suit. Robi let at least one guy jump it repeatedly (Professor). Different material on the leading edge of the wings than a V1, Phantom-type air inlets on the arm wings. The suit made good sense to me for what it's designed for (performance).

You don't know Chuck very well. Couple years ago he gave me help with canopy selection, he approved of my choice (which wasn't from his sponsor) and gave me sound canopy control advice. This is a monkey who knows his shit but isn't full of it.

Huh? No, not at all. I have no idea what they are doing with the photos that they might have taken, but I am sure all of the other guys there will post stuff when they sort through it all.

On that note though, I have been to several swoop competitions where the organizers refused to let competitors and spectators take photos and shoot video. That was so they could, themselves, market the end product. To try and do something like that at Z-hills would be laughable.

There ought to be some really good photos with as many camera guys as we had zooming around. It was serious video overkill in my opinion.
