BirdPeople: Where are you located?

Recommended Posts

Where everyone is located and how many regular BirdPeople are jumping at your DZ? I think this information will help BirdPeople that have to travel plan their trips better.

I live in Ann Arbor, MI and you can find me at SD Chicago or SD Tecumseh.

Kris.

I learned at Raeford... that count for anything? :P

I jump mainly at SGC, but if someone is serious about tossing up wingsuit loads I'm all about it up to about a 4-5 hour drive from me.

We've got:
Spy38w
Cajun
J-Rock
BoxinGrl
and 1 or 2 more that fly suits.

Sunset flocks at WFFC were absolutly great B|

Hi: I looked for you at WFFC but you were never at the tent when I was.

As it happens, the days I was there were plagued with weather holds, and I didn't feel comfortable jumping a different suit in a strange place with suboptimal weather, so I did RW with Roger Ponce.

Hey JP don't forget Girlfalldown she needs to get her own suit but she has a distance record. The longest distance that the DZ pick em driver had to drive for an Off dz landing. The CReW guys are pissed let me tell ya :P

I got my GTI recently. I will be on the road to try and find some flocking dives. If I drive to SGC, will I get to make atleast a few flocking dives every weekend?

Kris.

In Atmosphair DZ near Québec city, Canada, there is more than 25 bird-peoples... I wont name them... Most of them (and i) fly GTI's. There are some SF3 and SF and a few classics. I think it's the greatest concentration of Bird-people in North America. :)

Northern California's flock at The Parachute Center in Lodi

Interesting. One of the reasons I never bothered trying to get back in at Lodi was that Bill didn't allow wing suits, and that was all I was interested in. How the times change...

Oh, yeah, and Miles must have one hell of a commute to flock with you guys.

I think you've stated that before.
The simplest answer is, you know Bill? ;)

Miles is there now and then but he mainly does wingsuit solo's.
On his last visit last visit though, we were throwing him out of the Otter in a mountain bike, and he was trying to land riding it....:S
With an IAD exit his openings weren't the prettiest.:P

I can count at least 26 that own their own suits at Perris. Another 10 that have less than 30 jumps but just won't get there own suit. Everything from a handfull of original classics to S3s and a few S4s ( or whatever the mylar ribbed wing is called ), matter2s, a crossbow, a new S-fly. But Perris is big enough that I don't personally don't know all of the wingsuiters and I get suprised to see new suits with familiar faces all of the time. Although there is a core that does mostly wingsuiting, and for one individual nothing but, the great majority do mostly other kinds of jumps.

Of course I'm not counting the rock stars of skydiving and base that jump here when they are home but really jump all over the world or those that this is only a winter home for.

To add to the confusion I know three jumpers, all with wingsuits, by the name of JP. Two at Perris and one ,of course, at Davis.

Located in Nova Scotia ,Canada. There are three birds here now with their own suits. I have traveled twice to Atmosphere to jump with joboulay and the others there. A great place to flock!! We continue to spread the word. Play Safe!!

Well, I must be the only one from Z-hills online these days:P

We've got 2 BMIs: Cancer Chris(cancerchris) & Scott Bland(notsane)

Weekdays there may be one or two more, but weekends you can count on 2-5 additional birds around the DZ. Typically flocking dives, but we sometimes get a little more creative.;)
