LouDiamond 1 #2 October 2, 2009 QuoteDoes anyone have one and make sense out of the Jump Master function? Cheers Andy The Garmin jumpmaster function is set up for the military method of calculating the release point. It can do it for both static line and HALO. It really has no application for civilian skydiving plus its a pain in the ass to input all the data on the GPS. You could potentially use it for CRW if you used it in HAHO mode but be prepared for the release point to be way outside the normal DZ jump run as it is uses a formula for the maximum offset from the DZ. You will also have to adjust the K factor as it is set up for someone under a 360 Sq ft canopy. You will also have to have the winds for every altitude in the formula for it to work correctly. My suggestion, unless you're really bored, is don't use it."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
