StefB 0 #1 July 23, 2007 Some of you may know that there is a FAI CF Webchallenge running... (others read about it at http://www.fai.org/parachuting/CF_web_challenge) Last weekend my team did the CF2 jumps and had a lot of fun. Now the question to other videopeople: What kind of video picture size and compression do you use for the video? We have to upload the video of 3 jumps to a website and MiniDV is about 1 GB. plastic 0 #2 July 23, 2007 Divx will give you the best compression rate.
StefB 0 #3 September 19, 2007 Tried DivX and the file was small enough, thanks! Did someone got results already?
StefB 0 #4 February 10, 2008 The 2008 pre-announcement is online http://www.fai.org/parachuting/CF_web_challenge Did anyone get results from their 2007 competition jumps? We are still waiting... :-( ADD: DivX was not suitable for the judges. Tried a second upload with MPEG1 compression in 10/2007. The MPEG1 decoder should be on every multimedia computer today. plastic 0 #5 February 11, 2008 A pity about the divx, maybe they just needed the codec to play it. Another year or two and i think most dvd players will support divx, mine does and it is 18months old. Plastic
