man those Boogieman suits look bad ass.. Did anyone else look at their stuff.

They are nice but more the design is complicated and more the price increases.

The Sonic Flywear suits are great and do not NEED spandex everywhere to be comfortable. The Performer (I think) version is the one with the spandex back for extra comfort. I heard that the Babylon Team changed to Sonic, and Loic was trying new shapes and fabrics for a fast transition suit.

SONIC is the way to go

So, does anyone know of a more affordable way of procuring a suit of similar fit, without having to deal with someone who accuses me of looking like a clown?
Try Bistol city council waste disposal unit
uniform dept ,they have day glo stripes on the arms
you will be a hit with all the slappers in your area..

Nah mate your giving the wrong advice !! Since the newbies cant be bothered to pay for a quality suit and look like a pro, and would rather look like an extra for some russian juggling midget act, they should get the Hackney Borough Council road workers overalls, they are the biz !! Funky luminous orange with yellow arms and legs ... just put on a few patchs (avaliable free from most pro shops ) and 'volia' you got yourself a complet " fly like a twat suit "

Matter and europe for that matter can be a funny one and a couple of issues ive noticed get raised and dont

and hey who looks like a clown, i think cedric more than likely

1- its really fashionable to wear tight suits in europe for one reason or another, in some tracking it can help.... this is irrespective of how much the person weighs, alot of schools are suggesting putting really snug suits on people that are a bit heavier and doesnt really make any sense ie...Babylon

2- matter itself is very variable, ive had extreemly bad experiences with cedric dumont and so have alot of friends and i wouldnt choose to ever do any business with him every again

3- theres a real push for TECHNICAL suits and fabrics which for the most part are a load of sh~t. proconcept tries to make out that drag is soooo specifically placed that it aids in flying precisely etc... i think this is possibly the case but amount to less than 1% of the overall flying profile

they're creating a market for themselves and convincing people that they need these products by some interesting marketing

and lets not also forget they're bloody expensive and very rarely deliver on time and the customer service is very poor.

if you wana get a euro boy gimp suit get a boogy man one, at least they look better if your into all of that

if its pertinent i fly michigan after flying proconcept for too long

hey fedykin

you look like a gimp and a clown !! , and Im sure you'll be the mess gimp in your pink shirt and expensive brogues. Just get a tight fitting pair so they dont fall during the pillow fights !!

Ever thought about getting yourself some freebie overalls and funking them out with patches and joining the elite band of geeks?

I suppose it different strokes for different folks?

Dude I understand why you didnt like the Matter suit you had. It wasnt realy the fault of the manufacture i think it was more to do with outside influences that affected the style choice you made at the time? I could be wrong.

The point is we all live and learn, I made a similar bad choice at the time. Remember the red and white thing I brought?! Way to tight!

Ive seen your new suit and it is a suit which really suits your flying style and needs.

Im not so sure about that. As we become more refined flyers wouldnt you agree that out equipment should become more refined and better suited to evolving flying styles? Be it rigs, altis, suits etc...?

Im a big believer in less flapping material to create drag. I think it is better to have double lined suits that are tighter but are able to increase the amout of drag. Thats just what I would personly look for in a suit. if I needed that bit more range. I dont think I would like alot of flapping material (inducing unessesary input ) based around the extremitys

I think Matter suits offer this with their pro concept range and most definatly aid in being a more flexible flyer with the spandex inserts etc....

Oh and If you dont like that we can just have a fight! see you behind the cricket pavilion at 6. Hahaha;)

from the beggining

matter took 6 months for my suit when i ordered it and it took longer for you to get yours, just because your now getting 2 free suits because matter lost babylon and are desperate to get some people on the list, your position on them has changed overnight

funny that

Okay so lets make a list of all of the teams at world level competition have worn anything other than cotton or pollycotton

pretty long list

lets now make a list of all of the teams which are flying any of these suits

the list is endless

just because one or two manufacturers who both are strangely situated in empuriabrava, which as far as im concerned is one of the biggest hubbs of misinformation on the planet and are trying to convince the public that they should be spending more money on more expensive suits which as far as most of us have seen, doesnt help anyone...

imput in the extremities, well this is what both Olav and Alchemy swear by in term of where your drag loading should be, but hey, i guess you know something that they dont
and also this is the most efficient place to put drag given our biomechanics and where our center of drag is best placed if flying on our heads

the argument of thicker matierials vs. more matierials is a bit muddied, however one thing is undeniable

drag is drag, if the matierial has a higher drag value if it is thicker, or there is more of it, the quotent is the same as is the effect

who is this guy skydee or whatever???

UPDATE-UPDATE:

Matter has offered to do the custom diamond design for me at no charge, I just have to pay for the suit plus other options. They wanted to apologize for past inconvenience.

I still haven't heard back from Sonic. Well...I got an email from them saying they never received any emails from me, but no reply to the email I resent.

Dude, why you say this man? ( thought Id get that in remeber the last time?)

Ok, so people move on and businesses will continue to support different teams. thats just the way it is. If it didnt happen things would get stagnant.

I think it comendable that different Manufactures experiment with different designs, after all, are we not all in the sport to progress?? Ever heard of nothing ventured nothing gained?

So what if two different suit manufactures that are experimenting with different designs happen to be in the same location. Empuria just happens to be a great testing ground for their products. having two suit manufactures in close proximity means healthy competition, which inturn leads to the invention and refinment of better products.

Ok so I agree with you on the fact that we should have drag at the extremities, obviously this gives us power in the air. What I was referring to was having counter productive flapping at the ends of our limbs where we lack most muscle control. Keep the drag there and reduce outside input can only be a good thing, but hey your right what do I know?

Chill your boots man! We still on for six?;)

come on now lets all just have a group hugg? Urrgghhh!

I've posted that I have many suits and pants made of thin and baggy supplex, pants cut straight but made of thicker polycotton, or suits with multiple layers over lighter materials and some pantz with "vents".
I could also care less what Alchemy, Olav or whomever has to say about it...... IMO straight cut thicker suits work best for me for freeflying. I don't care what the fashion trend is.

Not all drag is created equal. Drag is a dynamic force.

Matter Rock

you pay for high quality workmanship, the suits are the nads, I have 2, 1 shorty and 1 FF.

the only gripe ( and Im a pussy ) is in a hot place they can get a touch too warm as it is a heavy fabric, but weighing up the options I rather sweat than sow a rip !!!
