Can you re-bake a bohnehead helmet?

i just purchased a used bonehead and i was wondering if it was possible to re-bake it to fit me better?

I have 2 boneheads and I have never baked either.

I have a pretty standard head, I guess

These are the instructions i got when i emailed Bonehead

Bonehead Baking Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 190 Fahrenheit or 80
centigrade.
2. Place the helmet with liner, on a piece of
cardboard, in the center of the oven. Make sure
the helmet is not touching any sides of the oven.
3. TURN OFF THE OVEN
4. Leave the helmet in the oven for 10-15 minutes
until the heat permeates the helmet making it more
flexible.
5. Remove the helmet, AND THE CARDBOARD, and place
the helmet on your head.
6. Using a towel or pot holders apply pressure at
the ears, pushing the helmet down and towards the
ears.
7. Hold the helmet in this position until the
helmet cools and becomes less flexible.
Approximately 10 minutes.
Remove the cardboard from the oven.
This above procedure can be repeated for a custom
fit.

I rebaked a used batrak twice to get the fit I wanted. Foller the directions and you should rock on!!

You might want to make sure your oven is calibrated correctly. I know two guys that lived in a rent house that burned the buckles off their Boneheads in the oven. The thermostat was a couple of hundred degrees off. This is common on older ovens!
