Freefly training tables

Recommended Posts

Just want to get your idea's on whats happening here in australia.
We are getting a freefly table put in so that people who have not done it, are only allowed to do no more than 3 ways.
I'll get some more information for everyone, but Im just after some feedback !

Not sure I understand 'freefly tables' - do you mean qualifications?
If so, the BPA has something similar - basic qualifications in Sit/stand (called FF1) and Head-down (FF2).
Details on the BPA web site http://www.bpa.org.uk then follow links
BPA Office - Safety - Operations Manual - Section 2
For the syllabus for FF1 and FF2 follow
BPA Office - Documents Online - Guidelines for FF1&2
(I couldn't get the full URL links to work here)
Hope this helps
Geoff

Feedback.
Looks tough. My thoughts is you will end up having a lot of people do 3 ways that will never get to jump with people that are better, because the better freefliers would get bored doing all that stuff. The alternative, is pay somebody to jump with you 50 or 100 times till you could do all that. But that gets spendy.
Nice intentions, but I doubt it will work for the masses.

Feedback.....
There is no way that anyone at my DZ is even close to passing anything past skill level 3. Some people have no intention of getting close in to turn points or dock while freeflying. Are these people going to be stuck dooing 3 ways and smaller?
